Chapter 77 The Joy of a Great Victory, A Look Towards a New Path

Upon hearing this, everyone was taken aback.

“Although our current area is resource-poor, it is relatively safe. Wouldn’t it be too risky to venture into unknown areas?” a thoughtful member expressed his concern.

“I know what everyone is worried about,” Ning Yu had anticipated this, “but we can’t just sit here and wait to die! We’ve already plundered this area almost completely. If we stay here any longer, it will be swallowed up by other forces sooner or later!”

Ning Yu walked to the map, pointed to an area marked in red, and continued, "According to the intelligence we have gathered so far, this area is full of dangers, but it also contains a lot of resources, and there may even be other survivor forces!"

"Only by constantly growing stronger can we survive in this apocalypse!" Ning Yu's voice was full of power. "I've decided that we'll set off in three days. Our destination—Redstone Valley!"

"Redstone Valley..."

The group exchanged bewildered glances. The name symbolized the unknown and danger, but also represented opportunity and hope.

"I believe that as long as we are united, no difficulty can stop us!" Ning Yu's voice echoed in the conference room for a long time.

Three days passed in the blink of an eye. The well-organized team assembled at the base entrance, their faces filled with determination, their eyes gleaming with a yearning for the future, awaiting Ning Yu's command. Ning Yu walked to the front of the team, took a deep breath, and shouted:

"Set off!"

"Let's go!" Ning Yu gave the order, and the team surged towards the base gate like an iron torrent. Every face beamed with anticipation for the future and confidence in Ning Yu's decision.

"Boss's destination this time is Redstone Valley? I heard it's full of treasures!"

"Hehe, follow the boss and you'll live the high life! I've been wanting to see the world for ages!"

"What do you know? Boss is being incredibly farsighted! Our current territory will eventually be divided up by other forces. Only by constantly expanding can we gain a foothold in this apocalypse!"

Similar discussions arose throughout the group, but without exception, they were all filled with positive and uplifting emotions. Having been tempered by the last battle, this group had been transformed. They were no longer the refugees struggling for survival, but warriors with a shared goal and beliefs!

Mu Xue walked over to Ning Yu, handed him the water bottle, and said with a smile, "It seems everyone supports your decision. It seems my judgment was right after all."

"Of course, don't you know who I am!" Ning Yu raised an eyebrow confidently, tilted his head back and took a big gulp of water. "You're coming with me to explore Redstone Valley this time. The rest of you stay at the base. No one is allowed to act without my orders."

"Understood!" Mu Xue nodded. She knew that Ning Yu was doing this just in case, since the situation in Red Stone Valley was unclear, and it was necessary to leave enough forces to protect the base.

Three days later, an elite squad led by Ning Yu and Mu Xue left the base and embarked on their journey to Redstone Valley. Every member of the squad was a battle-hardened elite, equipped with the best weapons and equipment, as well as ample supplies, enough to deal with any unexpected situation.

At first, the journey went smoothly. They avoided areas frequently infested by mutated creatures and proceeded along abandoned roads. Although the scenery along the way was devastated, it was filled with a desolate beauty unique to the post-apocalyptic world.

However, as they ventured deeper into the Redstone Valley area, the concentration of radiation in the air began to rise sharply, and the once clear sky turned gloomy and oppressive. Some of the weaker team members began to experience symptoms of radiation sickness, such as dizziness and nausea.

"Cough cough..." A team member, clutching his chest and pale-faced, leaned against a boulder and said with difficulty, "Boss, I... I think I can't hold on much longer..."

"Hang in there!" Ning Yu quickly walked to his side, took out anti-radiation medicine from her backpack and handed it to him. "This should be the initial symptoms of radiation sickness. Take some medicine and rest for a while and you'll be fine."

“But…” The team member took the medicine with trembling hands, his eyes filled with fear, “I heard that the radiation in Redstone Valley is extremely strong, what if…”

Before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by a sudden, violent tremor. The earth shook violently, as if some enormous creature was about to burst forth from the ground.

"What's going on?!" Ning Yu's expression changed, and he suddenly looked up into the distance.

In the distance, a massive black shadow was rapidly approaching them across the desolate wilderness, accompanied by a deafening roar...
