"Break through..."
These two words struck like a thunderbolt through the silent base. The team members exchanged bewildered glances, their eyes filled with disbelief. Break through? This was tantamount to throwing an egg against a rock. Could they really succeed in breaking through under the overwhelming attack of the "Sky Curtain" organization?
"Leader, do we really have to break through?" a team member couldn't help but ask, his voice trembling slightly. "'Sky Curtain' organization's firepower is too intense, we..."
"There's no time to hesitate!" Ning Yu interrupted him sharply. "The fact that the 'Sky Curtain' organization chose to attack at this time shows that they have also paid a heavy price. Now, only ruins and scattered supplies remained.
Time ticked by, and the attacks from the "Sky Curtain" organization grew increasingly fierce, while the atmosphere within the base became ever more oppressive. Some team members began to panic; their hands and feet started to tremble, and their breathing became rapid.
"Calm down! Everyone calm down!" Ning Yu roared. "Panic will only make us die faster!" He walked up to a pale-faced team member and asked in a deep voice, "What's your name?"
"I...I'm called Wang Qiang..."
“Wang Qiang,” Ning Yu patted him on the shoulder, “look at me!”
Wang Qiang raised his head and met Ning Yu's determined gaze, and the fear in his heart seemed to dissipate a little.
"Remember, you are a warrior, not a coward!" Ning Yu's voice was full of power. "We will all survive, and we will fight our way out together!"
Seeing Ning Yu's confident gaze, Wang Qiang's previously panicked heart gradually calmed down. Yes, as long as their leader was there, they would definitely be able to overcome any difficulty!

Looking at the bustling scene before him, Ning Yu felt a mix of emotions. He knew that breaking through meant enormous risks, but at this moment, they had no other choice. He pulled out a crumpled pack of cigarettes from his pocket, lit one, and took a deep drag, trying to relieve the pressure in his heart with the bitterness of nicotine.
"Boss, this is all the weapons and equipment we've collected." A team member approached Ning Yu carrying a pile of firearms.
Ning Yu stubbed out his cigarette, stepped forward, and carefully examined each weapon. Pistols, rifles, submachine guns... these were all common firearms before the apocalypse, but when faced with the heavy weapons of the "Sky Curtain" organization and those superhumans with special abilities, the power of these weapons seemed somewhat inadequate.
“These weapons…” Ning Yu frowned. He knew that with these conventional weapons alone, they would have little chance of gaining an advantage in breaking through. “We need more powerful weapons!”
His gaze swept over the various metal parts and electronic components scattered throughout the base, and a bold idea emerged in his mind.
"Gather all usable electronic components and metal materials!" Ning Yu ordered loudly. "Also, gather all personnel with mechanical and electronic knowledge!"
Although the team members didn't understand Ning Yu's intentions, they carried out his orders without hesitation. Soon, a pile of metal parts and electronic components was placed in front of Ning Yu.
Ning Yu crouched down, carefully examining the materials, his mind racing with various modification plans. He knew time was of the essence; he had to find a way to enhance the weapon's power as soon as possible.
Time ticked by, and fine beads of sweat appeared on Ning Yu's forehead. He tried to assemble the different parts, but the results were unsatisfactory.
"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath. He had never felt so defeated.
"Leader, are you alright?" a team member asked worriedly.
"I'm fine," Ning Yu took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. "Keep searching and see if there are any other usable materials!"
Just then, a member of the guard team rushed over, pale-faced and speaking urgently: "Leader, the 'Sky Curtain' organization...they..."
