The burning longsword, accompanied by a whistling sound, traced a perfect parabola, landing squarely in the rear of the "Earthfire" organization's position. A deafening roar followed, and the violent explosion instantly engulfed the area, flames and thick smoke shooting into the sky, turning the night sky a fiery red.
"Charge!" Ning Yu seized the opportunity, let out a low roar, and was the first to rush out through the gap caused by the explosion. The elite team members behind him followed closely behind, shooting towards the enemy's rear like arrows released from a bow.
"Oh no! We've fallen into their trap!" The commander of the "Earthfire" organization's expression changed drastically. He never expected that Ning Yu would choose to break through under such circumstances, and that his target would be their weakest point in defense—the rear.
"Don't let them get away! Chase them!" the commander roared hoarsely, but it was too late. Ning Yu and his men had already swept through the enemy's rear like tigers among sheep, unleashing a bloodbath.
Ning Yu's longsword transformed into streaks of black lightning, reaping the lives of his enemies. He moved with ghostly speed, his every strike precise and ruthless, leaving no room for hesitation.
"Damn it! How did his superpower suddenly become so strong?!" The members of the "Earthfire" organization were terrified. They had never seen such a terrifying opponent, as if he were a death god from hell.
"Don't panic! Hold your ground! Their numbers are limited. As long as we hold on, we'll get reinforcements!" The commander tried to remain calm as he directed his men in their resistance, but he was growing increasingly uneasy.
"Captain, we've successfully broken through. What should we do now?" A team member ran up to Ning Yu and asked anxiously.
Ning Yu looked around and realized that although they had successfully broken through the enemy's encirclement, they were still in danger. The enemy's numbers far exceeded theirs, and reinforcements could arrive at any moment.
"Pass down the order: all team members, immediately retreat to the western mountains! Quickly!" Ning Yu made a decisive move and issued a new order. He knew that now was not the time to linger in battle; only by quickly shaking off the enemy's pursuit could they secure a chance of survival.
"Yes!" The team members accepted the order and left. Soon, all the surviving team members retreated towards the western mountains.
"Trying to run? Not so easy!" The commander of the "Earthfire" organization discovered their intentions and immediately ordered a pursuit.
"Stop them! Don't let a single one escape!" Deafening gunfire rang out again, and a hail of bullets rained down on Ning Yu and his men...
"Captain, there's a grove of trees ahead. Let's go in and hide!" A team member pointed to a dense grove of trees not far ahead and said to Ning Yu.
Ning Yu looked up and frowned slightly: "No, the terrain in the woods is complicated and we could easily be ambushed by the enemy. We can't take the risk..."
Before he could finish speaking, a series of hurried footsteps came from behind him, accompanied by several painful groans.
"Captain, something bad has happened! Third Brother and the others..." A team member ran over, his face pale, but before he could finish speaking, he was interrupted by a voice from behind Ning Yu:
"Hahaha, trying to run? Do you think you can escape?" The number two figure in the "Earthfire" organization, a burly man with a face full of scars, walked out of the woods. Behind him were more than a dozen fully armed members of the "Earthfire" organization, who were grinning maliciously at Ning Yu and the others.
"Second Brother! What are you doing here?!" the team member who spoke earlier exclaimed. He recognized the newcomer as the number two figure in the "Earthfire" organization, a ruthless character known for his cruelty.
"Hmph, you bunch of stray dogs, do you think you can escape the clutches of 'Earthfire'? Today is your death day!" the second brother said viciously, his eyes flashing with cruel light.
"Captain, what do we do now?" another team member asked anxiously. They were surrounded from both sides and were in dire straits.
Ning Yu's expression was grave. He knew that the situation had reached a critical juncture of life and death. He took a deep breath, a resolute glint in his eyes, "Third brother, fourth brother, you lead the brothers and continue the breakout westward. I'll cover the rear!"
"Captain, no! It's too dangerous for you to stay behind alone. We'll cover you and we'll escape together!" the third and fourth brothers said in unison. They would never abandon their captain and flee alone.
"Execute the order! This is my order!" Ning Yu shouted sternly. He knew that now was not the time to act on emotion. Only by preserving their strength could they possibly make a comeback.
"But..." The third and fourth brothers wanted to say something more, but Ning Yu waved them off.
"No buts, hurry up! It'll be too late if we don't leave now!" Ning Yu said, holding his long sword horizontally in front of him, his gaze fixed firmly ahead, ready to hold off the enemy's attack alone.
"Captain..." The third and fourth brothers looked at Ning Yu with tears in their eyes, then resolutely turned around and led the remaining team members to break through to the west.
"Hahaha, trying to leave? Not so easy!" The second brother grinned and waved his hand. The "Earthfire" organization members behind him immediately picked up their weapons and chased after the third brother and the others.
"Your opponent is me!" Ning Yu roared, his figure as fast as lightning, instantly rushing towards the second brother and the others. The long sword in his hand turned into streaks of black lightning, reaping the lives of his enemies.
Meanwhile, behind the "Earthfire" organization, Ning Yu's elite squad had silently circled around to the enemy's rear.
"The enemy's ammunition depot is just ahead; we must destroy it as soon as possible!" A team member pointed to a makeshift warehouse not far ahead and said to Ning Yu.
