The enormous shadow gradually came into focus; it was an armed airship, a behemoth of steel, its menacing cannons reflecting a cold light under the searchlights. It hovered in mid-air, casting a suffocating shadow.
"Boom!" The bottom of the airship opened, and dozens of black dots fell like raindrops. Accompanied by a deafening explosion, they were soldiers wearing black power armor. They were holding energy weapons of various shapes and sizes. Like messengers from hell, they charged towards Ning Yu and the others' position with an aura of death.
"Counterattack! Counterattack!" Li Bing roared, directing his team to open fire. In an instant, gunfire and explosions resounded through the night sky, and multicolored energy beams intertwined to form a net of death, illuminating the night sky as if it were daytime.
Ning Yu's side had already completed its defensive fortifications, with various heavy weapons mounted on towering metal walls. The dense network of fire successfully intercepted the enemy's first wave of attack. However, the enemy was clearly well-prepared; their weapons were incredibly powerful, with some energy beams even capable of penetrating the fortifications, causing considerable casualties to Ning Yu's side.
"Captain, their firepower is too intense! Our fortifications are about to collapse!" a team member shouted in panic, his voice filled with fear.
"What's the panic! Hold them off!" Li Bing shouted. "Everyone, concentrate your fire on their energy core!"
However, the enemy's defenses were also exceptionally strong; their power armor seemed capable of absorbing energy attacks, making it difficult to inflict fatal damage even if they occasionally hit.
"Damn it! How can their defenses be so strong?" one of the team members cursed. He had been firing his energy rifle for several minutes, but he couldn't even penetrate the enemy's armor.
Ning Yu frowned, brandishing his longsword. A flash of lightning cleaved an enemy attempting to break through the defenses in two. However, the enemy numbers were simply too great, and their attacks were growing increasingly fierce. Ning Yu's defensive line was already on the verge of collapse.
"This won't do..." Ning Yu thought to himself. He had to find a way to break the current stalemate, otherwise...
He abruptly raised his head, his gaze sharp, fixed on the massive armed airship in the distance. A daring idea surfaced in his mind… “Li Bing!” he commanded in a deep voice, “Prepare…”
"Li Bing! Have all heavy firepower units aim at their thrusters! Light firepower units, two people per group, aim at their joints! Quickly!" Ning Yu's voice cut through the battlefield's clamor like a sharp knife, reaching the ears of every team member.
Without the slightest hesitation, Li Bing immediately relayed Ning Yu's orders. He knew that Ning Yu must have discovered the enemy's weakness.
Upon receiving the order, the team members quickly adjusted their attack targets. Shells, trailing long plumes of flame, precisely struck the propulsion systems of the enemy's power armor. Even if the shockwaves from the explosions didn't completely destroy them, they were enough to briefly halt their movements. Meanwhile, the light firepower unit seized the opportunity, simultaneously striking the same joint with two energy beams. Even energy-absorbing armor struggled to withstand such a concentrated attack; sparks flew from the joint, and movement became sluggish.
The enemy clearly did not expect Ning Yu's counterattack to be so swift and the target so cunning. They were caught off guard and their offensive stalled.
However, their good fortune was short-lived, as the enemy quickly reacted. Suddenly, several blinding beams of light shot out from the steel behemoth airship, tracing eerie arcs through the air as they headed straight for Ning Yu's heavy firepower positions.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!" Violent explosions rang out one after another, turning several heavy artillery positions into a sea of fire, billowing smoke, and screams of agony.
"Damn it! It's an orbital cannon!" Li Bing cursed through gritted teeth, his face ashen.
Worse still, amidst the chaos, Ning Yu noticed several figures standing out in the enemy ranks. Their power armor differed slightly from the other soldiers, radiating a faint blue light, and their movements seemed to exude an invisible sense of oppression.
"They're superhumans!" Ning Yu's heart sank. He recognized them at a glance. These people were all powerful individuals who had awakened strong superhuman abilities. Their target was clear: Ning Yu's command post!
Sure enough, the superhumans moved across the battlefield like ghosts, and the attacks of ordinary soldiers posed no threat to them whatsoever. Their energy weapons were even more devastating; each swing claimed several lives.
"We can't let them get close!" Ning Yu roared, and with a flash, he rushed out like an arrow released from a bow.
However, his body had not fully recovered, and the long period of high-intensity fighting had left him somewhat exhausted.
"Captain, be careful!" Seeing Ning Yu surrounded and in grave danger by several superhumans, Li Bing shouted anxiously, but was powerless to help.
Ning Yu's swordsmanship was fierce, each swing carrying a sharp killing intent, with lightning flashing around him, like a thunder god descending to earth. However, his opponents were, after all, several powerful superhumans, and under their combined attack, Ning Yu gradually fell into a disadvantageous position, with new wounds constantly appearing on his body.

Ning Yu was knocked back by a powerful force, kneeling on one knee with a trickle of blood at the corner of his mouth, but his eyes remained firm.
Dust billowed, smoke filled the air, Ning Yu knelt on one knee, his chest heaving violently, the bloodstains at the corner of his mouth a shocking sight. The longsword in his hand now appeared dull and lifeless.
"Captain!" Li Bing's eyes were bloodshot with rage. He desperately wanted to break through the enemy's defenses to support Ning Yu.
