Watching his teammates fall one after another, Ning Yu was filled with anger and resentment, as if a raging fire was burning in his chest. He struggled and roared, but could not break free of his restraints. Just then, a strange energy surged from his body, like a sleeping dragon finally awakening. He felt his superpowers begin to mutate under this extreme emotional state.
The energy chains that had bound him shattered instantly, like paper, before this immense power. Ning Yu gained his freedom, but instead of retaliating, he felt the surging power within him, an unprecedented sense of strength filling his entire body.
"Captain!" Li Bing shouted with delight upon seeing this. The other team members also looked up, their eyes rekindling with hope.
The superhumans escorting Ning Yu were clearly stunned by this sudden turn of events. Before they could react, Ning Yu had already transformed into a blur and rushed in front of them.
"You will pay the price for this!" Ning Yu's voice was icy cold and devoid of any emotion.
With a wave of his hand, a dazzling beam of energy erupted, instantly engulfing the several superhumans in front of him. They didn't even have time to scream before turning to ashes and dissipating into the air.
"This...how is this possible..." The enemy leader, who was watching from afar, turned extremely ugly upon seeing this scene. He had originally thought victory was assured, but he never expected such a turn of events.
Ignoring the enemy's shock, Ning Yu turned around, looked at his exhausted teammates, and a hint of heartache and determination flashed in his eyes.
"Brothers, we haven't lost yet!" he said in a deep voice, hoarse but full of power. "Now, follow me and fight our way out!"
Inspired by Ning Yu's imposing presence, the team members gripped their weapons tightly, their eyes hardening with determination. They knew this was a battle they could only win, not lose—for survival, for glory, and for their shared beliefs…
Ning Yu looked around. The battlefield was a mess, filled with the smell of gunpowder and blood. He took a deep breath, suppressing the surging emotions in his heart. Now was not the time for grief and anger; they needed to end this battle as soon as possible.
"Li Bing, take the wounded and retreat to the rear. We'll take care of this place," Ning Yu calmly instructed.
"Captain, your injuries..." Li Bing looked worried. Ning Yu's clothes were torn in many places, and several shocking wounds could be vaguely seen.
"I'm fine, I'll follow orders!" Ning Yu's tone was firm and left no room for doubt. He knew that he was now the backbone of all the team members, and he could not show the slightest hesitation or weakness.
Li Bing gritted his teeth and finally obeyed the order, organizing the wounded to begin an orderly retreat.
"Everyone else, follow me!" A glint flashed in Ning Yu's eyes. He had observed the enemy's formation and attack methods and had found their weakness.
“Although their superhumans are powerful, their attack methods are limited and they lack coordination. We can take advantage of this to catch them off guard!” Ning Yu briefly explained his plan.
The team members gathered around, listening attentively to Ning Yu's instructions, their weary faces regaining a glimmer of hope. They were all warriors who had followed Ning Yu through countless life-or-death trials, and they had absolute trust in him.
"Remember, what we need to do now is not to fight head-on, but to outsmart them, using speed and teamwork to defeat them one by one!" Ning Yu emphasized again, his eyes gleaming with confidence.
"Yes!" the team members responded in unison, their voices, though not loud, were full of strength.
Ning Yu took the lead, leading his team out like arrows released from a bow. They no longer passively defended, but took the initiative to attack, breaking into smaller groups and using the terrain and buildings for cover to launch a surprise attack on the enemy.
The enemy clearly hadn't expected Ning Yu's side to have the ability to counterattack, and were caught off guard. They had thought victory was assured, but unexpectedly found themselves in such a passive situation.
"Damn it! How did these guys suddenly become so troublesome?" one of the enemy superhumans cursed, frantically dealing with attacks coming from all directions.
"Don't panic, hold your ground!" another superhuman shouted, trying to calm the troops, but before he could finish speaking, he was struck by a sharp energy beam and fell to the ground with a scream.
Ning Yu was like a ferocious cheetah, darting across the battlefield, each strike precise and ruthless, reaping the lives of his enemies. The supernatural power within him seemed inexhaustible, constantly releasing powerful energy.
Under his leadership, the other team members also unleashed astonishing fighting power. They cooperated seamlessly with each other, making the most of their newly improved skills.
The enemy was forced into retreat, and what was initially thought to be an easy victory turned into a fierce battle...
"Leader, we can't go on like this! We underestimated their strength! Let's retreat!" A blood-covered superhuman staggered up to a mysterious figure in a black robe and hood, shouting in panic.
The man in black robes gave him a cold look, a glint of cold light flashing in his eyes, and slowly removed his hood...
Beneath the hood was a sharply defined face, his eyes gleaming with a cold, chilling light that seemed capable of freezing one's soul. He was none other than Night Owl, the leader of the mysterious organization.
"Useless!" Night Owl sneered, kicking the superhuman to the ground. "You can't even handle a bunch of defeated soldiers, what use are you to me!"
"Please forgive us, leader! We...we didn't expect them to be able to organize such a strong counterattack..." The superhuman struggled to explain, but was met with Night Owl's even colder gaze.
