Ning Yu lay on the ground, his body aching as if it had fallen apart, but he couldn't care less about that. All his attention was focused on that strange resonance. The powerful pressure from the black figure did not diminish his will; instead, it made the plant energy surging from his body even more active, as if it had found its home, leaping towards the black demon god.
“Attracted…” Ning Yu murmured to himself, his heart churning with turmoil. He had never felt the energy of plants so active before, as if it were some kind of intense desire, an instinct to return to the womb. The black figure’s power was undeniable, but the aura it exuded seemed out of place in this apocalyptic environment, more like… some kind of twisted origin.
A daring idea took shape in Ning Yu's mind, both crazy and alluring. He wanted to use this property of plant energy to lure the black figure as "nutrients" and then deliver a fatal blow at close range! This plan was undoubtedly risky; a slight misstep would result in being mercilessly crushed by the black figure.
But at this moment, seeing the despair in the eyes of his companions and feeling the oppressive atmosphere of the apocalypse, Ning Yu's indomitable will burned fiercely within him. He could not fall! He was everyone's hope, the only light in this world!
"I'll risk it all!" Ning Yu gritted his teeth, his eyes flashing with determination. He endured the excruciating pain in his body, trying to mobilize the restless plant energy within him and guide it towards the black figure.
The black figure seemed to sense something, a hint of doubt flashing in its single crimson eye. It stopped, slowly turning its head to gaze at the tiny figure on the ground. In its eyes, Ning Yu was no different from an ant, but at this moment, the aura emanating from this ant made it feel a strange restlessness.
“Roar…” The black figure let out a low roar, seemingly in doubt, yet also as a warning.
Ning Yu ignored him, focusing entirely on controlling the raging power within his body, guiding it bit by bit towards the black figure. He dared not relax for a moment, for he knew this was like dancing on a knife's edge; the slightest mistake would lead to utter destruction.
The black figure seemed to be enraged by Ning Yu's actions. It took heavy steps and slowly walked towards Ning Yu, its single crimson eye flashing with cold killing intent.
"team leader!"

The surrounding teammates' hearts leaped into their throats at the sight. They didn't understand what Ning Yu was trying to do, but they knew that any resistance against the black figure was futile.
Only one person understood Ning Yu's intentions.
"Ning Yu..." Mu Xue struggled to stand up, but fell to the ground again due to her severe injuries. She looked at Ning Yu's back with complicated emotions, her heart filled with worry and a strange... expectation.
As Ning Yu felt the oppressive pressure of the approaching black figure and the almost out-of-control plant energy within his body, there was no fear on his face, but rather a resolute smile.
"Come on..." he murmured, "Let me see who devours whom!"
Just then, a blood-stained hand gently rested on his shoulder… a hand, cold yet firm, pressed down on Ning Yu's shoulder. Ning Yu didn't need to turn around to know that the only person who could touch him at that moment was Mu Xue.
"What do you want to do?" Mu Xue's voice was soft, yet carried an undeniable authority. She leaned against the wall, staggering to Ning Yu's side, each step feeling like walking on a knife's edge, but she didn't care at all.
Ning Yu turned to look at Mu Xue, his eyes showing no surprise, only deep exhaustion and a resolute expression. "I've thought of a way. Perhaps, there's still a glimmer of hope."
"What method?" Mu Xue pressed. She saw madness in Ning Yu's eyes, but even more so, hope—a hope struggling in despair. The team members around him held their breath. They didn't know what Ning Yu was going to do, but they chose to believe in him, just as they had believed in him countless times before.
Ning Yu took a deep breath and laid out his plan. Pointing to the approaching black figure, he said in a low but firm voice, "This thing is absorbing the life force of this land, and my plant energy is like... a fatal temptation to it."
Upon hearing this, Mu Xue's pupils contracted sharply. She understood Ning Yu's meaning; he intended to use her as bait to lure the black monster! "You're insane!" Mu Xue growled, her voice trembling slightly. "You'll die!"
“But we will all survive.” Ning Yu interrupted Mu Xue, looking at the despair in his companions’ eyes, his tone firm, “This is the only way.”
Mu Xue fell silent. She knew Ning Yu was right. Faced with absolute power, any scheme seemed pale and powerless; only by taking a gamble could a miracle be created.
"I'll help you." In the end, Mu Xue only uttered these three words. She gripped the dagger in her hand tightly, her eyes becoming incredibly determined.
With Mu Xue's support, Ning Yu no longer hesitated. He closed his eyes, focusing all his attention on controlling the plant's energy. He was about to release a signal—a signal powerful enough to drive the black monster mad!
As Ning Yu manipulated it, the plant energy within his body began to fluctuate violently. A peculiar energy wave spread outwards from him. The surrounding flowers, plants, and trees seemed to be summoned, swaying and their originally dull green color becoming even more lush, as if responding to Ning Yu's will.
The black figure in the distance clearly sensed the energy fluctuation. It suddenly raised its head, a glint of greed and doubt flashing in its single crimson eye. It hesitated for a moment, but ultimately could not resist the fatal temptation. It took heavy steps and slowly walked towards Ning Yu's direction.
