Blinding light, like a flood bursting its banks, surged from the cracks in the shield, illuminating the ruins for miles around. A howling wind whipped up sand and stones, as if cheering for this victorious strike. Ning Yu, however, remained unfazed; he knew this was only the beginning.
"boom!"
With a final, deafening roar, the energy shield finally succumbed to its strain, shattering into countless starlight points that dissipated into the air. The Overlord, who had been hidden behind the shield, was now completely exposed to Ning Yu.
His massive body emitted a faint blue light, like a demon god from the abyss, cold, evil, and devoid of any emotion.
"You should pay the price for this!" Ning Yu's voice was hoarse and low, yet carried an undeniable resolve. Mu Xue's image and smile flashed before his eyes, transforming into boundless power that propelled him toward the colossal figure.
He knew that the Dominator's energy core was hidden beneath that layer of dark blue light; it was the source of its power and its only weakness.
"Die!" Ning Yu roared, concentrating all his power into his right fist. A surge of violent energy gathered at his knuckles, forming a dazzling sphere of light, like a miniature sun, radiating an aura of destruction.
The ball of light, trailing a long, fiery tail, ripped through the sky and crashed down upon the Dominator's energy core. In that instant, the heavens and earth lost their color, the sun and moon went dark, and the entire world seemed to freeze, everything focused on that one point of energy about to explode.
In the distance, Mu Xue, who had been watching the battle intently, tightly covered her mouth to prevent herself from making a sound. She could feel Ning Yu's grief and determination, as well as the earth-shattering energy fluctuations.
"Ning Yu..." she prayed silently in her heart, praying that he would succeed and that he would survive.
However, just as the orb of light was about to strike the Overlord, a sudden change occurred. A crimson light flashed in the Overlord's emotionless blue eyes.
It moved.
"Foolish human, do you think you can defeat me like this?" The Overlord's voice was deep and hoarse, tinged with mockery and disdain. "You are too naive..."
Before the words were even finished, a dazzling white light suddenly appeared around the Dominator's massive body...
The white light shield appeared out of thin air, instantly erecting an indestructible barrier in front of the Overlord's massive body. Ning Yu's ball of light crashed into the shield, unleashing a light even more dazzling than the sun! The shockwave, carrying world-destroying energy, spread wildly in all directions from the point of impact.
The earth trembled, rocks cracked, and the whole world seemed to be engulfed in a vast white sea of light.
As the light gradually faded, everyone could finally see what was happening before them. The Overlord still stood proudly, and although the white light shield fluctuated violently, it miraculously blocked Ning Yu's attack.
"Hahaha, you overestimate yourself!" The Overlord let out a burst of wild laughter, his voice filled with contempt and mockery. "I told you, you can't kill me!"
Although the protective shield blocked the fatal blow, the Overlord was still badly affected. Its massive body swayed slightly, and the eerie blue light seemed to dim somewhat. Clearly, Ning Yu's attack had caused it some impact.
"Cough cough..."
Ning Yu knelt on one knee, coughing violently. He felt as if his body had been hollowed out, and every bone in his body ached. He had exhausted all his strength to deliver this desperate, all-or-nothing attack.

"Look at me!" Mu Xue shouted sharply, her sharp gaze sweeping across the faces of each team member. "Ning Yu spared no effort to create an opportunity for us. Are we going to let his efforts go to waste?"
The team members fell silent, gripping their weapons tightly, a flicker of hope rekindling in their eyes. Yes, Ning Yu had given his all to create this opportunity for them; how could they give up so easily?
"Although the Overlord is powerful, it's not doing well either!" Mu Xue pointed to the enormous figure in the distance, her voice full of confidence. "Ning Yu's attack has already injured it, and now is the best time for us to counterattack!"
