"Calm down! Everyone calm down!" Ning Yu roared, his voice unusually clear and powerful amidst the chaos. "Don't give up, we can survive!"
His voice was like a shot of adrenaline, rekindling a glimmer of hope in the despairing team members. They raised their heads, their eyes filled with anticipation, waiting for their leader to guide them.
"Mu Xue, how are you?" Ning Yu looked down at Mu Xue in his arms. Her face was pale and the wound on her arm was still bleeding, but he could feel that her eyes were still firm.
“I’m fine…” Mu Xue shook her head, looked up at Ning Yu, her eyes shining with determination, “I believe in you, you will definitely find a way.”
Ning Yu took a deep breath. He knew this was not the time for sorrow and despair. He had to pull himself together, for himself and for all those who trusted him. He closed his eyes, his mind replaying the trajectory of the laser and the ancient symbols.
Suddenly, a thought struck him, as if he had grasped something crucial. He abruptly opened his eyes and pointed to a wall at the end of the corridor, exclaiming, "There! The core of the formation is right there!"
The place he was pointing to had a strange pattern carved on the wall, like some kind of ancient totem, radiating an eerie light.
"Everyone, follow me!" Ning Yu shouted, and charged towards the wall first.
The team members hesitated for a moment, then, as if grasping at a lifeline, they all followed. They concentrated their firepower, unleashing all their attacks on the wall in an attempt to break the formation's constraints.
The walls trembled violently under the fierce attack, emitting a teeth-grinding sound, as if they might collapse at any moment. However, just when they thought victory was in sight, Ning Yu's expression suddenly changed, and he roared:
"careful--"
Before the words were even finished, cracks suddenly appeared in the walls on both sides of the corridor, from which dozens of blinding laser beams shot out, like a dense net of death, enveloping the crowd.
"Scatter!" Ning Yu's eyes were bloodshot. He pushed Mu Xue aside and released a powerful mental force, forming an invisible barrier in front of him.
However, the number of lasers was simply too great, and their speed was astonishing. Several team members who couldn't dodge in time were instantly struck by the lasers, their screams echoing through the corridor, sending chills down everyone's spines.
"Damn it!" Mu Xue rolled to the side, barely dodging a laser beam. She cursed through gritted teeth, but her hands didn't stop. Ice spikes flew out one after another, shattering the approaching laser beams.
The corridor instantly transformed into a living hell, with lasers, fire, and frost intertwined, and explosions, screams, and roars filling the air.
