"Boss! What's wrong with you?!" Li Hu was the first to notice Ning Yu's abnormality. He took a step back in alarm, pointing at Ning Yu and trembling as he said, "You...your body..."
The energy fluctuations emanating from Ning Yu grew stronger and stronger. Visible energy waves spread outward from his body in concentric circles, like shockwaves, snapping the surrounding trees in half and causing the rubble on the ground to tremble continuously.
"Back off quickly!" Mu Xue realized something was wrong and immediately told the others to stay away from Ning Yu.
Everyone hurriedly retreated, but it was too late. The powerful energy fluctuations, like an invisible giant hand, knocked several members who couldn't dodge in time to the ground, causing them to vomit blood.
"Ning Yu! How are you? Can you control yourself?!" Mu Xue shouted anxiously. She tried to get closer to Ning Yu, but was forced back by the powerful energy fluctuations.
Ning Yu felt as if he were trapped in a furnace, the violent energy within him raging wildly, assaulting his meridians and burning away his reason. He roared in agony, but could not suppress the raging power within him.
"I...I can't control myself..." Ning Yu managed to squeeze out a few words through his teeth. His voice was hoarse and weak, as if he would faint at any moment.
"How could this be?" Mu Xue's heart sank. She had never seen Ning Yu so out of control, nor had she ever seen such a violent superpower, as if it wanted to destroy everything.
Ning Yu's face grew paler and paler, and large beads of sweat rolled down his forehead. He clenched his teeth tightly to keep from groaning in pain, but his trembling body betrayed the extent of his suffering.
"Quick...get out of here..." Ning Yu said with difficulty. He knew his situation was bad and he didn't want to hurt his companions.
"Boss!" Li Hu and the others looked at Ning Yu anxiously, but dared not step forward.
"Go!" Ning Yu roared, his voice filled with pain and despair. He didn't want to hurt anyone, but now he couldn't control himself.
"Let's go!" Mu Xue made a quick decision, pulling Li Hu back, and the others followed suit, but their eyes were still fixed on Ning Yu with worry.
Ning Yu watched his companions leave, a resolute glint in his eyes. He staggered to his feet and ran in the opposite direction from the others. He wanted to get away from this place, away from the crowd, to a deserted place, to face this sudden crisis alone…
"Ning Yu!" Mu Xue's voice rang out behind him, but he didn't turn around. He knew he couldn't. He staggered, yet ran headlong into the distance until his figure disappeared into the vast night... Ning Yu stumbled and fell as he ran, the dense branches tearing at his clothes, leaving streaks of blood. But he could no longer feel the pain. The violent energy within him boiled like magma, scorching his reason and eroding his consciousness. The world before him began to distort; the once verdant trees turned into twisted monsters, and the bright moonlight in the night sky turned blood red.
He ran to a dry riverbed, where all was quiet except for the howling wind and his own heavy breathing. He wanted to stop, to control the raging power within him, but it was all in vain. He felt like a bomb that could explode at any moment, ready to shatter everything around him.
"Ah—" Ning Yu roared in pain, clutching his head with both hands, desperately trying to stay conscious. However, the power grew stronger and stronger, and his body began to glow and heat uncontrollably. The surrounding stones and trees were scorched black by the heat, and even caught fire.
His consciousness grew increasingly blurred, the world before him sometimes clear and sometimes blurry, his ears filled with all sorts of sounds: the shouts of his companions, the roars of monsters, and... an ancient and evil whisper, tempting him and corrupting him.
"Power... surrender..."
"No! I can't..." Ning Yu struggled and resisted, but his voice grew weaker and weaker, and his consciousness was gradually swallowed by darkness. He felt as if his body no longer belonged to him. He waved his hands, releasing violent energy that destroyed everything around him.
With a deafening roar, a massive crater was blasted into the dried-up riverbed, sending debris flying and dust billowing everywhere. Ning Yu's figure was engulfed in the dust, with only the blinding light and chilling energy fluctuations indicating his presence.
"Boss!" Li Hu and the others called out anxiously from afar. They had followed the energy fluctuations to find this place, only to witness such a horrifying scene.
"Quick! Let's go help!" Li Hu said, about to rush over, but Mu Xue grabbed him.
"Wait! He's in a dangerous situation right now, we can't approach him rashly!" Mu Xue said calmly, but her eyes were also full of worry.
"But……"
"Boom—" Another deafening roar echoed, accompanied by Ning Yu's agonizing scream. Everyone's hearts tightened as a beam of energy shot into the sky, illuminating the night sky as if it were daytime. Li Hu and the others tried to approach, but were forced back by the powerful energy fluctuations. Some of the weaker members were even injured, coughing up blood.
"Boss..." They watched helplessly as Ning Yu was swallowed up by that violent energy, powerless to do anything but watch, waiting and hoping for a miracle...
"He... seems different..." Mu Xue murmured to herself, staring at the blinding light, a hint of unease flashing in her eyes.
As the smoke cleared, everyone was horrified to discover that a huge, bottomless pit had appeared in the center of the once-dry riverbed. Ning Yu was suspended above the pit, enveloped in a blinding light.
