Taking a deep breath, Ning Yu forced himself to calm down. He began to carefully observe his surroundings, looking for any factors that could be used. It was a desolate ruin, with broken walls and rubble everywhere. Twisted metal skeletons cast long shadows in the setting sun, adding to the bleakness.
"What, trying to beg for mercy?" The man in black robes pressed closer, his tone full of mockery. "Too bad, it's too late."
Ning Yu ignored the other party's provocation and his gaze fell on a pile of rubble not far away. A plan immediately formed in his mind. He pretended to be exhausted and staggered towards the pile of rubble.
“A desperate struggle.” The man in black robes sneered, following behind at a leisurely pace, enjoying the chase as if it were a cat playing with a mouse.
Ning Yu ran to the pile of rocks and deliberately slowed down. When the man in black saw this, a hint of contempt flashed in his eyes. He once again condensed black lightning in his hand, preparing to deliver a fatal blow to Ning Yu.
Just then, Ning Yu suddenly moved! He turned around abruptly, compressed the energy in his hand into a dazzling energy ball, and hurled it fiercely towards the pile of rubble!
With a loud bang, the pile of rocks was instantly blown apart, sending debris flying and dust billowing everywhere!
Caught off guard, the man in black was forced back several steps by the sudden explosion. When the smoke cleared, Ning Yu was nowhere to be seen.
"Damn it! He actually played a trick!" the man in black cursed under his breath and began searching for Ning Yu's whereabouts.
Ning Yu was currently hidden behind a boulder, holding his breath and carefully observing the black-robed man's every move. He understood that this was merely a temporary measure and could not truly rid him of this powerful enemy. He had to seize the opportunity, find the opponent's weakness, to turn the tide of battle!
The man in black robes clearly realized this as well. He stopped attacking rashly and began to use some special ability to investigate the surroundings, trying to find Ning Yu's hiding place.
Time ticked by, and a tense atmosphere filled the air.
Suddenly, Ning Yu had a thought. He noticed that when the black-robed man used that detection ability, his body would momentarily stiffen. Although the time was extremely short, it was enough for Ning Yu!
"Now!" Ning Yu thought to himself, a glint of light flashing in his eyes, his energy surging wildly, ready to be unleashed...
Ning Yu stared intently at the man in black robes, his muscles tense like a cheetah poised to pounce. He knew this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity; once missed, there would be no turning back.
The man in black robes seemed very confident in his abilities. He slowly scanned his surroundings, unaware of the fleeting killing intent in Ning Yu's eyes. When he used that probing ability again, his body stiffened for a moment, just as Ning Yu had predicted.
"Now!" Ning Yu roared in his heart. He rushed out like an arrow, pouring all the energy he had accumulated into his right hand, forming a dazzling ball of light. With the momentum of destroying everything, he blasted towards the man in black robes!
"Thunderbolt Cannon!"
The ball of light moved at incredible speed, arriving before the man in black robes almost in the blink of an eye. The man in black robes clearly hadn't expected Ning Yu to attack at this moment, let alone that he was so fast. In his haste, he could only condense a layer of black lightning shield in an attempt to block Ning Yu's attack.
A deafening explosion resounded through the sky, and a dazzling light illuminated the entire ruins. The powerful shockwave spread outwards from the point of explosion, and the surrounding rubble was as fragile as paper before this force, instantly reduced to rubble.
As the light faded and the smoke and dust gradually dissipated, Ning Yu's figure reappeared in the ruins. He knelt on one knee, panting heavily. That attack had almost exhausted all his strength, but a victorious smile appeared on his face.
The man in black robes lay on the ground, his robes tattered and revealing charred skin beneath, clearly suffering severe injuries. He struggled to stand, but ultimately collapsed helplessly, his eyes filled with disbelief and resentment.
"You...you actually..." The man in black robes managed to utter a few words, his voice hoarse, as if he were a demon from hell.
Ning Yu slowly stood up, walked to the man in black robes, looked down at him, and said coldly, "Your path ends here."
A flicker of fear crossed the black-robed man's eyes. He wanted to say something, but Ning Yu didn't give him the chance. He ignored the black-robed man and turned to walk towards the source of the mysterious power.
He could feel that power getting closer and closer, as if it were right in front of him...
