"I..." Ning Yu's voice trembled slightly. He stared intently at his right wrist; the wound wasn't deep, but blood was seeping out, staining part of the scanner. Could it be... because of this?
"Your hand!" Mu Xue exclaimed, noticing the problem as well. She asked anxiously, "Is it because of this wound that it can't be identified?"

A resolute glint flashed in his eyes. Ignoring Mu Xue's attempts to stop him, he directly wiped the blood from his wound with his hand.
"Are you crazy!" Mu Xue exclaimed, trying to stop him, but he grabbed her wrist. "Don't move!"
"It's just a minor injury, I won't die!" Ning Yu said through gritted teeth. The intense pain made his face pale, but he seemed not to feel it and continued to vigorously wipe the wound.
“But…” Mu Xue wanted to say something, but seeing Ning Yu’s determined eyes, she swallowed her words. She knew that saying anything now would be useless, and she could only choose to believe him.
After roughly cleaning his wound, Ning Yu didn't hesitate for a moment before placing his hand on the scanner again. All eyes were on his hand, the atmosphere tense to the extreme. "Boss, what do we do? Is this dilapidated warehouse going to collapse?" one of the team members couldn't help but ask, his voice filled with obvious fear. Ever since they entered this underground warehouse, one unexpected situation after another had arisen. Now, they were trapped in a treasure trove but unable to take it, and this huge psychological gap had brought them to the brink of collapse.
"Yeah, boss, should we get out of here? What's the point of all this stuff if we're dead?" another team member chimed in, his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings, afraid of missing any escape route. The increasingly clear rumbling sounds from deep within the warehouse were like a slumbering beast about to awaken, sending chills down their spines.
Their words resonated with others, whose initial excitement and exhilaration at having supplies in sight were now replaced by fear and unease.
"Shut up!" Mu Xue shouted sternly. "What's the panic! The captain hasn't spoken yet, so all of you shut up!" She knew that if morale collapsed under these circumstances, the consequences would be unimaginable.
All eyes were fixed on Ning Yu, awaiting his decision. His lips were tightly pressed together, his brow furrowed, as if he were weighing something. Every second in the warehouse felt agonizing; as time ticked by, the shadow of death loomed over everyone.
"Wait a little longer." Ning Yu ultimately did not give the order to retreat. He could not give up like this. He had finally come this far, and it seemed that he could lead everyone to a better life. He absolutely could not let his efforts fail at the last moment.
“But…” one of the team members wanted to say something more, but was stopped by Ning Yu’s sharp gaze.
"Execute the order!" Ning Yu's voice left no room for doubt. He placed his hand on the identifier again, the cold metallic touch calming him down slightly.
However, this time, the recognizer displayed a new message: "Recognition function is locked. Please try again in 599 seconds."
"599 seconds..." Ning Yu counted silently in his mind, which meant they needed to endure for nearly ten more minutes in this extremely dangerous environment. The rumbling from deep within the warehouse intensified, as if something was about to burst from the ground.
Just then, Ning Yu suddenly felt dizzy, and everything before his eyes began to blur. He tried to endure the discomfort and stay awake, but the dizziness grew stronger and stronger, as if he were being dragged into an endless abyss by an invisible hand...
"Ning Yu! What's wrong with you?" Mu Xue's anxious voice rang in his ears, but he felt increasingly weak, his eyelids grew heavier and heavier, and finally, everything went black before his eyes, he lost consciousness, and his body fell limply backward...
