A blinding ray of light pierced through the cracks in the energy sphere—a glimmer of victory, but also a sign of danger. Almost the instant the energy chains appeared, Ning Yu sensed a deadly threat. He jerked to the side, barely dodging the chains aimed straight at his heart; however, these chains, made of pure energy, were far too fast, relentlessly pursuing him like a shadow.
"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath, his hands moving non-stop as he desperately dodged the energy chains that were intertwined into a web of death. He had already pushed his speed to the limit, leaving afterimages in the air, but the chains seemed to have eyes, flexibly changing their trajectories, determined to bind him completely.
"Sizzle—"
A piercing sound exploded in his ears. Ning Yu couldn't dodge in time and was grazed on his left arm by a chain. His tough combat uniform was easily torn apart like paper, and several deep wounds that exposed bone appeared on his arm. Blood instantly stained his sleeves.
The intense pain made Ning Yu groan, but he didn't even flinch; instead, the fighting spirit in his eyes burned even brighter. He couldn't retreat, he couldn't stop; behind him were his comrades fighting desperately, humanity's last hope!
"Break!" Ning Yu roared, his supernatural power surging wildly within him as he tried to shake off the damned chains. However, these energy chains clung to him like leeches, and no matter how much he struggled, he couldn't break free.
"Give up, you can't escape!" The Dominator's voice carried a hint of mockery and sarcasm, as if he were watching a trapped beast struggling for its prey.
Ning Yu ignored the Dominator's mockery. His gaze was fixed on the ever-growing crack in front of him, which was his only hope and his only way out!
"ah--"
Ning Yu roared, concentrating all his strength into his palms, and charged towards the crack with all his might...
"Ning Yu!"
Mu Xue's anxious cries echoed from afar, but Ning Yu could no longer hear them; his eyes were fixed only on the crack, and...
...and that chilling aura of death.
The Overlord seemed to sense Ning Yu's resolve. It let out an angry roar, and the cracks on the surface of the energy sphere suddenly contracted, unleashing a violent energy surge like a tsunami. The team members guarding the energy sphere were the first to be hit, forced to retreat repeatedly by this sudden attack. Some were even blasted away, coughing up blood.
"Ning Yu! Come back!" Mu Xue shouted anxiously, her heart filled with worry as the energy spheres' attacks grew increasingly fierce. Those energy chains were clearly aimed at Ning Yu; if he didn't return soon, he might truly be trapped inside and die!
However, Ning Yu seemed not to hear Mu Xue's cries, and he continued to rush towards the closing crack without hesitation. Blood was still gushing from his left arm, and the intense pain made his vision blur, but he gritted his teeth and endured it without uttering a groan.
He knew this was his last chance!
The energy chains multiplied, weaving together in the air into an impenetrable net of death, trapping Ning Yu within. His space to maneuver dwindled, each dodge becoming increasingly perilous. Several times, the chains nearly grazed his body; had he been even a fraction slower, he would have been pierced through!
"Damn it!" Ning Yu cursed under his breath, a hint of anxiety flashing in his eyes. He was in terrible shape; the injury to his left arm was constantly draining his strength, and he had already used up most of his power trying to break through the energy sphere's defenses. If this continued...
No! We can't delay any longer!
Ning Yu took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down. His eyes flashed as he quickly scanned his surroundings, searching for a glimmer of hope.
Suddenly, his gaze sharpened, locking onto a gap not far ahead. The gap was very small, only wide enough for one person to pass through, and several energy chains were rapidly moving around it; a slight misstep could result in being struck.
But he had no other choice.
A resolute glint flashed in Ning Yu's eyes. Without further hesitation, he exerted force with his feet, propelling himself towards the gap like an arrow released from a bow. His speed was extreme, leaving behind a series of afterimages in the air, dazzling to behold.
"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"
The energy chains whistled past Ning Yu with a sharp whooshing sound, some even grazing his clothes and leaving charred marks.
At the critical moment, Ning Yu's body twisted at an incredible angle, barely avoiding all the chains' attacks and successfully passing through the narrow gap!
However, before he could even catch his breath, an even more dangerous aura enveloped him...

The Dominator seemed to be completely enraged by Ning Yu's tenacity. The originally chaotic energy chains seemed to be given life, and they all changed direction, attacking Ning Yu like venomous snakes with a sharp killing intent.
"Ning Yu!" Witnessing this terrifying scene, Mu Xue felt as if her heart was being gripped tightly by an invisible hand, almost suffocating her. She desperately wanted to rush forward to help, but was held back tightly by her teammates.
