A red light flashed in Ning Yu's eyes. The approaching mutated creature seemed to be struck by an invisible force, its massive body jerking backward with a shrill roar. Widow Li's expression changed upon seeing this, and she exclaimed, "What happened?"
Ning Yu had no time to pay attention to his surroundings. He felt the mysterious power surging within him, trying to break free of his body's constraints. His body began to ache terribly, as if being pierced by countless needles, every nerve being torn apart and burned. He gritted his teeth, trying to stay awake, but found that the power was growing stronger and stronger, as if it would tear him apart.
"Ah—" Ning Yu couldn't help but let out a painful roar, his clothes soaked with sweat, his face as pale as paper. He felt his body begin to convulse uncontrollably, his muscles spasming, and his bones making a teeth-grinding grinding sound.
"What's wrong with him?" Widow Li looked at Ning Yu's pained expression, a hint of fear flashing in her eyes, but even more so, greed. She could sense a powerful energy emanating from Ning Yu, a power that both frightened and craved her.
As his superpower awakened, energy surged wildly within Ning Yu's body, completely out of his control. Like a wild beast imprisoned in a cage, he frantically pounded against the walls, trying to break free. His body began to convulse more violently, his blood vessels bulged, and it felt as if magma was flowing beneath his skin, radiating scorching heat.
“Ning Yu…” Widow Li tentatively took another step forward, her eyes flashing with a complex light.
Ning Yu remained unresponsive. He felt his consciousness blurring, his vision distorting, and a buzzing noise filling his ears, as if he were trapped in a giant vortex, unable to escape… He weakly opened his mouth, trying to say something, but only managed to utter a single, indistinct syllable: “Help…” Ning Yu felt as if he had fallen into an endless abyss. Thick, chilling darkness surrounded him, enveloping him completely. He struggled desperately, trying to grasp something, but his fingertips touched only emptiness. The raging power within him, like a runaway horse, surged wildly, tearing his reason to shreds.
"Help..." He tried to cry out for help, but his voice seemed trapped in his throat, only a weak sob escaping his lips. His consciousness sank deeper and deeper into the darkness, and he felt himself being devoured by this force, being pulled little by little into the abyss of despair.
"No... I can't just give up like this..." A strong will to live surged within Ning Yu. He still had many things to do; he couldn't just die without knowing why.
He tried to concentrate and control the raging power within him. However, this power was far too strong; his willpower seemed insignificant in the face of it, like a candle flickering in the wind, ready to be extinguished at any moment.
"Ah—" Another wave of intense pain struck, and Ning Yu's body trembled violently. He felt as if his blood vessels were about to burst, his bones were being crushed bit by bit, and his internal organs were being churned up.
"Ning Yu, how are you?" Widow Li's voice came from afar, carrying a hint of barely perceptible excitement and greed.
Ning Yu could neither hear nor see. His world consisted only of boundless darkness and pain. He clenched his teeth tightly, refusing to make a sound, because he knew that once he gave up resisting, he would be completely devoured by this power.
He mustered all his willpower, trying to suppress that force. However, it was futile, only causing him more pain. He felt as if he were tied to a stake, flames burning his body, yet unable to free him.
"Hold on...you must hold on..." Ning Yu told himself repeatedly. He knew he absolutely could not give up, or he would truly be doomed.
Just then, he felt a strange light begin to emanate from the surface of his body, flickering on and off. Each flash was accompanied by excruciating pain, as if something was about to burst out of his body...
Upon seeing this, Widow Li's greedy eyes flashed with fear. She instinctively stepped back, muttering to herself, "This...this is..."
Ning Yu's body trembled violently, like steel thrown into a furnace. The light emanating from him grew increasingly dazzling, its color shifting unpredictably, sometimes crimson like fire, sometimes deep blue like the sea, sometimes golden like the sun, as if containing world-destroying energy.
"boom!"
An invisible energy surge emanated from Ning Yu and suddenly spread outwards, instantly shattering the tables and chairs in the room into pieces, sending wood chips and dust flying everywhere. Widow Li was forced back several steps by this powerful force, falling to the ground with a thud, staring in horror at the scene before her.
Ning Yu lay on the ground, writhing in agony. His clothes were soaked with sweat, clinging tightly to his body and outlining his muscular physique. He gripped the ground tightly with both hands, his fingertips digging deep into the concrete, leaving ten shocking bloody marks.
"ah--"
He let out a beastly roar, his voice filled with pain and despair. He could feel his body being torn apart by this violent energy, and his consciousness was beginning to blur.
"Am I... going to die here?"
Just as his consciousness was about to fade, a white light flashed in his mind, and a cold, mechanical voice rang out:
"Abnormal host vital signs detected, emergency response plan activated..."
Immediately afterwards, a warm energy surged from his body, slowly enveloping the violent energy and attempting to suppress it.
Ning Yu felt his pain lessen slightly. He struggled to open his eyes, but the world before him was blurry. He could still vaguely see that Widow Li was backing away in terror, her eyes flashing with a mixture of greed and fear.
