Chapter 33 The Snail Girl Aman

The next morning.

Ning Wan woke up as soon as the alarm clock rang.

She gave herself two minutes to try and fall asleep. Two minutes later, she sat up straight.

Nothing happened all night.

The glass on the doorknob was hanging there properly.

Ning Wan took the cup and opened the door, but the moment she looked up, she couldn't believe what she was seeing.

A clean and tidy room, and a bright and airy living room.

Every corner of the house was kept spotless.

The tables, cabinets, and every item in every corner were neatly organized.

Even the colored pencils that Ning Yanshu hadn't had time to tidy up on the square table last night were neatly arranged one by one according to color order, with the stickers facing upwards.

The floor looked like it had just been mopped and was sparkling clean.

The air was filled with the scent of laundry soap from time to time.

That was the gardenia scent that Ning Wan had chosen; it smelled exceptionally good.

The room, once tidied up, even looked much more spacious.

Ning Wan couldn't help but wonder, was this really her home?

Did a fairy godmother suddenly appear in her house while she was asleep?

Ning Wan walked from her room to the living room.

In the quiet house, faint sounds could still be heard coming from the kitchen.

She went inside and found that there were indeed people inside.

The snail fairy Aman, with an apron tied around her waist, is currently frying eggs in front of the gas stove with great skill.

The apron was a pink strawberry bear pattern that Ning Wan had specially bought.

The length and size were just right for Ning Wan.

But when tied to Aman's body, it looks like an adult wearing a child's clothes.

Restrained and uneasy.

But Aman didn't seem to be affected by this. He cooked very seriously, flipping the food in the wok, then plating it.

He acted with ease and confidence.

However, Aman, who had been calm and composed, suddenly became nervous when he noticed Ning Wan's arrival.

"...Wanwan, you're awake."

Seeing his cheeks flushed with shyness, Ning Wan couldn't help but tease, "So you can cook too?"

On the counter were poached eggs that Aman had fried.

The poached egg yolk was round and plump, with a perfect shape. It looked very appealing when served on a white plate.

This probably wasn't his first time cooking.

Hearing Ning Wan's words, Aman nodded and then shook her head.

He explained, "I don't know, it just happens subconsciously..."

He didn't regain his memories; rather, it was the lingering impressions of this body that made him act instinctively.

"Did you clean the living room too?"

"……Um."

Ning Wan walked to Aman's side, lifted his hand, and turned his palm over to examine it.

His hands were very hot.

His large, sturdy hands were covered with all sorts of calluses and scars.

"It seems your life wasn't good before. Were you from a poor family?"

Aman's eyes were blank.

Ning Wan then asked him, "Can you remember anything else? Do you have any other family members?"

Aman shook his head: "I can't remember. Trying to think about it again will give me a headache."

Aman looked disappointed.

He was tall and big, but his drooping head made him look a little pitiful.

Ning Wan couldn't bear to ask any more questions.

Breakfast was prepared by Aman, so Ningwan had plenty of time to prepare.

She calmly brushed her teeth and washed her face, then woke up Ning Yanshu.

After finishing her meal and dropping Ning Yanshu off at school, Aman would conscientiously clean up the breakfast dishes and utensils.

Even the clothes that she changed out of yesterday were washed clean by Aman and hung on the balcony.

Looking at her bra and panties fluttering in the wind, Ning Wan felt a little embarrassed, which was unusual for her.

“You don’t need to do these things…” she said to Aman.

His excellent performance made Ning Wan feel even more guilty about what she was about to do...

...

Aman did not answer.

He didn't make a fuss or cause any trouble; he obediently took off his apron and hung it on the wall.

Then he took the bag of bread that belonged only to him and stood quietly at the door waiting.

He had an expression that said, "I'm ready, we can leave anytime."

But he knew perfectly well that he was about to be sent to the police station again, didn't he?

Despite being abandoned time and time again, he remained remarkably calm.

Doesn't he feel sad? ...

...

Ning Wan didn't move, and Aman didn't urge her either.

He stared at her with his phoenix eyes wide open, looking at her with a blank expression: "Aren't you leaving?"

...

Damn it.

I feel even more soft-hearted now...

...

"Um..." Ning Wan raised her hand, coughed a few times to cover her mouth, and asked, "I have to go to the market to buy groceries this morning to prepare lunch boxes for today... Do you want to come with me?"

She absolutely refused to admit that she had softened her heart!

However, it would take an hour to get to the police station in the next district by taxi.

This will only prevent her from making today's business.

So she decided that it wouldn't be too late to take Aman to the police station after she finished her work in the afternoon.

Ning Wan tried her best to mentally prepare herself, but when she saw Aman's stunned expression, she couldn't help but laugh.

Ning Wan then asked him, "So, do you want to come with me?"

As if afraid that Ning Wan would regret it the next second, Aman nodded frantically.

Pound the head like garlic.

Ning Wan chuckled.

This little idiot...

...

When Ning Wan took Aman to the market to buy groceries, Aman behaved very well.

They didn't argue or make a fuss.

I followed her quietly the whole time.

Ning Wan bought things and paid for them, while A Man carried the items and groceries.

When she occasionally ran into a vegetable stall owner she knew, he would curiously ask who Aman was, but Ning Wan would only say that he was a family member.

Because Aman was there, Ning Wan saved a lot of effort and simply bought more.

Ning Wan would struggle for half a day to carry a dozen kilograms of vegetables home by herself, but it seemed exceptionally easy for Aman.

On the way back, Ning Wan looked at Aman beside her.

Seeing that he wasn't even out of breath, she couldn't help but ask, "Are you tired? Should I lift some for you?"

Having said that, he reached out to take it.

Aman quickly turned to the side: "I'm not tired, Aman can do it."

Therefore, Ning Wan stopped insisting.
