Chapter 105 "A Family"
Uncle Wang stormed up to Li Er, his whole body radiating a murderous aura as he stared intently at him.
He and Aunt Wang had heard the commotion outside from inside, but at first they didn't pay much attention. However, the noise outside grew louder and louder, and they realized something was wrong. Now he was glad he had come out to check; otherwise, who knew what Li Er would have done to Fan Yatou and the others!
"Li Er! What were you doing just now!" Granny Wang's eyes were red and her face was pale. Although she was walking behind, she had seen everything Li Er did. And didn't Li Shi just say that she was going to bring water to Xiao Bao's mother and the others? Why was Li Er here?

"Tsk, clearly..." Li Er raised his eyebrows, looking displeased. Li Shi shot him a glare to stop him, then slapped him hard on the back and scolded, "These two ladies are my aunt's guests! Apologize quickly!"
Fan Xiaoxiao frowned, sensing that Li's words seemed to have a hidden meaning.
Before she could think it through, Li Er was already apologizing to Fan Xiaoxiao and the others in a drawn-out tone: "I am a rough man and have offended you in many ways. I hope you two ladies will forgive me."
"Oh, that's right!" Li smiled and looked at Wang Da Niang: "Sister, you should also tell the two ladies that my son is usually clumsy and rough, so please don't take it to heart!"
What a cunning woman! Fan Xiaoxiao's lips twitched slightly. This woman was formidable. Her son had clearly offended her and Madam Fan, yet she directly asked Granny Wang to plead on her son's behalf.
They knew they wouldn't dare do anything to Wang Da Niang because of her! But Fan Xiaoxiao wasn't one to suffer in silence!
"It's alright. After all, she's Wang Da Niang's relative. I doubt she'd really be so ignorant of propriety and shame," Fan Xiaoxiao replied with a forced smile. Li Shi, being quite clever, immediately stiffened.
"Hehe, you're right, my wife. Oh, by the way, since you're back, sister, why don't you stay here? And it's perfect timing that you're back, we're building a house too, so you and your brother-in-law can build it together with us!" Li Shi chuckled awkwardly, changing the subject and looking at Wang Da Niang with an extremely expectant expression.

“We won’t stay here tonight, after all, there are still people waiting for us to go back to town.” Uncle Wang interrupted Aunt Wang, smiled and then greeted Li Shi again, “When we went in just now, we saw that my brother was indeed quite busy, so we won’t bother you any longer today. We’ll come back tomorrow.”
After saying that, he turned to walk out with his hands behind his back. Li was startled and quickly stopped Wang Da Niang, who was also about to follow: "Hey! Sister! Brother-in-law! What's wrong? Even if we're busy, nothing is more important than you coming!"

After saying that, the man tried to reach out and pull Aunt Wang. But when he tried to pull her the first time, he couldn't move her.
"Sister?" The man turned around with some confusion.
Aunt Wang pursed her lips, holding back her tears, and said in a hoarse voice, "I won't sit here today. There's a teacher in town waiting for us to go back. I'll come to find you again tomorrow."
The man paused for a moment, then somewhat awkwardly released Wang Da Niang, scratched his head, and gave a bitter smile: "Ah, since that's the case, then you should go first, sister. Tomorrow, tomorrow should be when we go to pick you up."
"Old man!" Li Shi didn't expect her husband to react this way, and she called out to him anxiously.

Just as Li was about to speak, she noticed that everyone was staring at her. She gritted her teeth and said with a forced smile, "Sister, it's too much trouble to keep coming and going. Why don't you just stay here today?"
"No, that gentleman in town saved our lives. We made an appointment to go back before we left, so it wouldn't be right to go back on our word." Wang Da Niang's expression turned somewhat cold when she faced Li Shi. This was only the second time she had met her sister-in-law in all these years. She had left home in a hurry back then and hadn't had much interaction with her. Now, it seemed she needed to observe her more closely to see what kind of person she truly was.
Having said all that, Li knew there was no point in trying to persuade them to stay. She forced a smile and, together with her husband, saw Aunt Wang and her group off down the slope. After carefully asking Aunt Wang for their address, she stood there watching Fan Xiaoxiao and the others leave.
Once she was sure she could no longer see Fan Xiaoxiao and her group's backs, Li's smile vanished abruptly, her face darkening as she yelled at her husband:
"Are you out of your mind! How could you let my sister and the others go back like that! What if she runs away again like she did back then!"
The man seemed somewhat afraid of his wife. He shrank back and said in a timid tone, "My sister wants to go back on her own. If you keep stopping her, she will definitely get angry."
"I don't care! Tomorrow, you go pick them up early for me! Oh, and by the way, those two women and that child, remember, don't bring them back! If you do, it'll cause trouble!"
"Mother! I really like that little one!" Li Er pouted unhappily.
Li glared at him and scolded, "Like?! Like your ass! That girl looks like she's got a cunning mind! Fine, that's settled then. Tomorrow morning, you'd better go and bring Wang back!"
After saying that, Madam Li paused, her face dark as she looked in the direction they had left, and said, "After all, we are family."
