Lao Chengjun introduced Li Yun to a place in the county town that served delicious wontons.
"Okay, Uncle Lao, I want to try it and see if it's as delicious as you said."
Li Yun looked eager to try, which made Lao Chengjun happy.
Lao Chengjun drove the carriage to the stable, tied the horse ropes, paid ten cents to the manager of the stable as a care fee, and left the stable.
There was a large stable in the county town, which was used by the common people to look after the horse, ox, and donkey carts that came into the city. Ten coins were required a day, and if they needed to feed the carts, they had to pay extra money to buy them.
Lao Chengjun took Li Yun to the wonton stall he mentioned. The stall was run by a couple. The husband was responsible for cooking the wontons, while the wife was responsible for tidying up the tables and chairs, washing the dishes, and greeting customers.
There were already many people sitting at the stalls, and Li Yun and Lao Chengjun sat at the side.
