Gu Qingze saw Chu Lingxiao's expectant look and nodded. They walked into the sea hand in hand, the cool water flowing over their ankles, bringing a burst of comfort.
Chu Lingxiao slapped the sea water happily, and the splashing water sparkled with colorful light in the sunlight.
Then...the two of them started playing the "water splashing game" that they never get tired of.
Tired of playing, they returned to the beach, and Gu Qingze took out the prepared food and water from his backpack.
They ate while listening to the sound of the waves and enjoying this pleasant time.
After eating, Chu Lingxiao saw a few people playing beach volleyball not far away. His eyes lit up and he pulled Gu Qingze and ran over.
"Can we join in?" Chu Lingxiao asked the people who were playing ball with great interest.
The other party readily agreed.
Chu Lingxiao immediately threw himself into the game. He jumped, caught the ball and passed the ball with ease.
Gu Qingze watched the game from the side. Occasionally, when the ball flew towards him, he could easily pass it back.
After playing beach volleyball for a while, Chu Lingxiao's forehead was covered with sweat. Gu Qingze handed him a towel and carefully wiped his sweat.
At this time, some fishermen on the beach began to collect their nets. Chu Lingxiao pulled Gu Qingze over to watch the fun.
The fishermen pulled the net with all their strength, and from time to time fish jumped in the net, shining silver.
Chu Lingxiao approached curiously, and the fishermen enthusiastically showed them the various seafood they had just caught, including crabs with bared claws and colorful tropical fish.
Chu Lingxiao asked some questions, and the fishermen patiently answered them one by one.
In the afternoon, the sun's rays softened, and Chu Lingxiao suddenly had the idea of leaving a huge painting on the beach.
Gu Qingze helped him find a branch, and Chu Lingxiao began to create.
He first sketched the outlines of the sea and sky, then drew the two of them holding hands on the beach, with seagulls playing around them.
Gu Qingze helped him select branches of different thicknesses to depict the details, and the two were immersed in this unique artistic creation.
As time went by, the sunset glow began to spread across the horizon, dyeing the entire sea surface in brilliant colors of orange and purple.
Chu Lingxiao and Gu Qingze sat quietly on the beach. Chu Lingxiao looked at him and said, "Qingze, since we're already at the beach, we must go for a seafood feast."
Gu Qingze smiled and asked him, "Ling Xiao, do you want to eat hairy crabs or lobsters?"
"Of course I've tried them all!" Chu Lingxiao stood up and reached out to pull Gu Qingze up as well. "Let's go, let's go have a seafood feast."
They strolled along the beach, searching for a seafood restaurant they liked, the sea breeze, bringing the coolness of the approaching night, gently ruffling the hems of their clothes.
Finally, they found a seaside restaurant that looked very cozy.
The restaurant was filled with the delicious aroma of seafood. The waiter enthusiastically led them to a window seat, from where they could see the waves gently rising and falling in the night.
Gu Qingze looked at the menu and ordered a plump hairy crab for Chu Lingxiao. When the hairy crab was served on the table, its orange-red shell had an attractive luster and its legs were thick.
Chu Lingxiao couldn't wait to break open the crab shell, and the fresh crab roe immediately appeared in front of him. After he tasted it, his eyes lit up and he also fed Qingze a bite.
After tasting it, Gu Qingze nodded and said, "This crab roe is indeed delicious."
After he finished his evaluation, he continued to help Chu Lingxiao pick out the crab meat and put it on his plate.
Then, the big lobster was also brought up. The lobster was extremely large, and its red shell was like armor.
Gu Qingze put on gloves, peeled the lobster meat from the shell, dipped it in a special sauce and handed it to Chu Lingxiao. Chu Lingxiao took a bite, and the sweetness of the lobster meat spread in his mouth. He chewed and said incoherently:
"Qingze, you should try this lobster too, it's delicious."
They also ordered some other seafood dishes, including delicious scallops, which perfectly combined the aroma of garlic with the tenderness of the scallop meat; and fried squid, which was so chewy that it jumped on the tip of the tongue.
After finishing their seafood dinner, they walked hand in hand on the seaside trail. The seaside was very quiet at night, with only the sound of the waves and their footsteps intertwined.
Chu Lingxiao looked up at the starry sky, which was inlaid with stars like broken diamonds. "Qingze, it feels like there are more stars in the night sky tonight than usual."
Gu Qingze looked up and said, "It's indeed more than usual. It might be because the weather is so nice today."
The two of them walked slowly back to the hotel, the sound of the waves like a lullaby, accompanying them into sleep...
....................
Recently, a cat cafe opened near their community, and Gu Qingze and Chu Lingxiao decided to go and support it.
As soon as I opened the door, soft music and the meows of cats came into my ears.
The interior of the store is very warm, with wooden tables and chairs placed in an orderly manner, and cat nests and toys everywhere.
As soon as Chu Lingxiao entered, he was attracted by a calico cat. The cat was lazily lying on the windowsill basking in the sun. He walked over carefully, for fear of disturbing it.
He slowly squatted down, stretched out a finger, and approached the calico cat cautiously.
The calico cat opened its eyes slightly, glanced at Chu Lingxiao, then rubbed his fingers and made a comfortable purring sound in its throat.
Gu Qingze looked at Chu Lingxiao and couldn't help laughing.
He found a comfortable corner to sit down, and a black short-haired cat slowly walked to his feet, circled around him twice, and then jumped lightly onto his knees.
