Chapter 34 A Kiss Can Save People

Zhao Shuanglian looked at the two people talking harmoniously and said with a guilty look on her face, "Sister Zhiyu, I was frightened this morning, so I didn't speak up for you in time. You won't blame me, right?"

Meng Zhiyu looked puzzled and gave her a strange look. "Blame you? You and I have no relatives or friends. Although we live in the same house, we rarely talk. It's your duty not to help me. Why should I blame you?"

Zhao Shuanglian was stunned for a moment before quickly reacting. She sighed and blamed herself, "I thought too much. I thought we were all living in the same room, both educated youth, and should have been as close as sisters. Now it seems that I really thought too much."

Meng Zhiyu was pleasantly surprised. She stuffed the jam into Song Yun's hand and held Zhao Shuanglian's hand tightly. "So Sister Zhao treats me like her own sister? A few days ago, because of the snacks, Sister Zhao looked at me coldly and looked as if she could torture me to death. I thought Sister Zhao hated me."

Zhao Shuanglian didn't expect Meng Zhiyu's grip to be so strong. She felt as if her hands were no longer her own due to the pain. Without thinking too much, she shook her hands off and said, "Let me go."

Meng Zhiyu fell into Li Tingman's arms and said softly, "Sister, don't you treat me as your own sister?"

Zhao Shuanglian came to her senses and apologized with a dry laugh.

Song Yun tasted the jam and gave it back to Meng Zhiyu, "It's delicious. Your cooking skills are good."

Meng Zhiyu took it and said, "Thank you, Song Zhiqing, for the compliment."

Song Yun pulled Zhao Shuanglian, who looked unhappy, to her feet and said, "Let's go and take a nap. We still have to work in the afternoon."

Li Tingman watched the two people walk away and took another bite of jam. "Song Yun is very smart. She saw through everything you and Zhao Shuanglian were doing."

Just like in the previous life, she was indifferent to everyone. Even though she saw through Zhao Shuanglian's nature of being a troublemaker, her attitude towards her remained unchanged. It was unknown whether she didn't care or didn't mind.

Meng Zhiyu stood up from Li Tingman's arms and sat up. "I know. So what? We're moving away anyway. We'll just be neighbors in the front and back yards."

If we can be friends, we don’t mind the distance. If we can’t be friends, it doesn’t matter how close we are.
