Meng Zhiyu's heart skipped a beat. Zhou Songbai pulled Tuwa over and asked him what he meant, but no matter what he asked, Tuwa didn't say anything.
Meng Zhiyu looked at Tuwa, who was very different from usual, and several guesses popped up in his mind. First, Tuwa must have a secret. Second, Mrs. Zhao did not love Tuwa as much as everyone saw. Third, there must be something wrong with Mrs. Zhao.
But why is this happening? Could it be that what she said a few days ago was right, that Mrs. Zhao disliked and hated this grandson because Tuwa rejected several of Lin's children, so she wanted to throw him away while coming to the county town to buy things?
But that was just what she said on purpose to sow discord. Putting all that aside, Tuwa is old enough to remember things, and he can go to the police for help and have them send him home.
Meng Zhiyu pinched the flesh on his chin and glanced at the people lying on the ground wailing. Or perhaps, Mrs. Zhao's ultimate goal was to let the human traffickers take Tuwa away. After all, it was well known that there were many human traffickers in the county.
Zhou Songbai was also confused. He couldn't understand why Tuwa didn't say anything, so he could only remind Meng Zhiyu, "Be careful not to be alone with Mrs. Zhao in the future."
Meng Zhiyu nodded. Since she knew that the man was suspicious, she must be careful. Looking at the silent Tu Wa, she took out two candies and handed them to him, "Are you hungry? Eat them."
I originally rescued him in order to avoid feeling guilty for the rest of my life, but I didn't expect to discover something unusual about him and Mrs. Zhao.
Tuwa looked up at Meng Zhiyu again before reaching out to take it. "Thank you."
Meng Zhiyu watched Tu Wa carefully put a piece of candy into his mouth and politely thanked him. He then asked, "Did your grandmother tell you to scold me before?"
Tu Wa ate the candy and nodded, "Although that's not right, scolding you is good for both you and me, so I will still scold you in the future."
This was the first time Meng Zhiyu didn't get angry when he heard someone scolding him.
Zhou Songbai looked at Tuwa and suddenly said, "If you encounter any problems in the future, you can pass me a note."
Tuwa looked at him in surprise, "I scolded your whole family before, aren't you angry with me?"
Zhou Songbai patted his head and asked, "Did you want to scold me?"
Tuwa shook his head, and Zhou Songbai continued, "Then I won't be angry."
Meng Zhiyu looked at Tuwa and suddenly felt sad. Such a young child, but with a maturity that did not belong to his age, and a grandmother that was difficult to understand. No one in the team wanted to play with him.
Meng Zhiyu didn't know that the woman Zhao, who had troubled her, was sitting in the ox cart, clapping her legs and crying, "My poor grandson, where are you, my country boy?"
Those who had returned surrounded the ox cart, looking at the wailing Mrs. Zhao, and tried to persuade her. Mother Zhou stood beside the ox cart, pinching her waist, and scolded Mrs. Zhao, "You're crying now, what were you doing before? The county is so harsh on human traffickers, don't you know? Aren't there many children missing from the nearby brigades?"
"That's right. If you keep a close eye on Tuwa, there's no way Tuwa will get lost." Mrs. Zhou spoke out in support of her mother-in-law.
Although Niu Pozi didn't like Zhao Pozi's family on weekdays, but when she thought of Tuwa, who was so young, she said, "Don't cry here. Go to the police and report the case. Maybe we can find him back."
Mrs. Zhao seemed not to hear and just sat there crying with her mouth wide open.
Aunt Wang was furious when she saw Mrs. Zhao crying. She couldn't help but climb onto the ox cart and push her. "Hurry to the police station! You can't cry yourself to death here and bring her back!"
It was not known whether it was intentional or unintentional, but Mrs. Zhao shook off the arm that was held by Aunt Wang. Aunt Wang was standing on the car. She was caught by this sudden move and had no time to react. She lost her balance and fell straight back.
