The telegram was written by my uncle, and the general meaning was that he asked her to go to the countryside and take care of herself. The house had been occupied by outsiders for so long that it no longer had any commemorative significance. Besides, her name was on the property certificate, so she could do whatever she wanted with it.
Meng Zhiyu always thought that he would have to wait until he went to the countryside to receive a reply, but he didn't expect that his uncle would send a telegram directly. This was good, as he could deal with everything before leaving, so that he wouldn't have to worry when he came back.
After Aunt Jin brought a group of people to exchange the things she had sorted out for eggs, vegetables, rice, noodles, etc., Meng Zhiyu put all the things into the space, packed up simply and went out. She planned to find an agent to sell the house.
I went to the textile factory again to ask about work, and when I got to the door, I ran into Yang Hui. "Xiaoyu, are you here to see me?"
"No, Aunt Yang." Meng Zhiyu briefly explained her job and concluded, "I'm going to the countryside tomorrow, and I want to sell my job."
Yang Hui nodded and said, "Come with me. I'll take you to see the factory director."
Meng Zhiyu didn't bother to be polite with her. She thanked her and followed her to the factory director's office. She explained everything to Wang Jun. Wang Jun raised his eyebrows and looked at Meng Zhiyu.
Meng Zhiyu smiled and let him look at her
"I'm just handling this matter. I'll give you the market price, three hundred and fifty yuan plus some tickets."
"Director, this child has had a hard time too. Look at her small arms and legs. It must be hard for her to go to the countryside. Let's round it up to four hundred." Yang Hui smiled and bargained with Wang Jun.
"Okay, I'll give you four hundred dollars for your sake."
After saying goodbye to Yang Hui, Meng Zhiyu found another agent to look at the house. He looked around inside and out, negotiated the terms, signed the contract, completed the formalities, and paid 600 yuan.
Meng Zhiyu breathed a sigh of relief, packed up his things, ate something simple and went to sleep.
The next day, Meng Zhiyu got up early, boiled twenty eggs, made a few butter cakes, had a simple breakfast, and then went out with his package.
When I met some elderly people going out on the road, they would ask, "Xiaoyu, what are you doing?"
"Auntie and uncle, today is the day I go to the countryside."
"Oh, I heard yesterday about what your stepmother and your evil father did. Good boy, take good care of yourself after you go down. Your father is in jail, and your stepmother won't be able to live well without a man to help her."
No matter what the neighbors said, Meng Zhiyu listened with a smile, thanking them from time to time. Aunt Jin saw her carrying such a large package and said directly, "Xiaoyu, don't leave yet. My eldest son is home today. Let him take you to the train station."
"Aunt Jin, that's not necessary." Without waiting for her to refuse, Aunt Jin hurried home at full speed. After a while, a middle-aged man came over pushing a bicycle and patted the back seat, saying, "Xiaoyu, get on quickly."
Seeing this, Meng Zhiyu did not refuse. He put the luggage on the front bumper, sat in the back seat, and waved goodbye to the neighbors.
Arriving at the train station, Meng Zhiyu took out two hard-boiled eggs and stuffed them into the uncle's hands. The uncle said he wouldn't accept them even if it was so much. "You kid, I'm just giving you a ride. We're neighbors, we see each other every day. There's no need to be so polite."
Meng Zhiyu had no choice but to take back the eggs, thank him, and then carry the package onto the train.
In front of the train station, there is a place where people are constantly leaving and coming back. Some people are happy to go home, while others are sad to leave home.
Meng Zhiyu didn't have either emotion, he was just relieved. No matter what happened in the future, at least he wouldn't have to face a family of troublemakers anymore.
Following the train conductor's instructions, Meng Zhiyu came to the carriage specially prepared for educated youth. When she arrived, there was already a girl inside. She had big eyes and curled eyelashes, and was lazily leaning back in the chair. When she noticed someone coming in, she just raised her eyelids and glanced at her.
Meng Zhiyu just nodded slightly at her and found a seat that suited her to her right. There were two seats in a row, and she chose the outer one so that it would be convenient for her to move around.
Just as I put my luggage down and sat down, a girl came over with a lot of bags. Her cheeks were red and she was breathing heavily. She put down all her things and ran to the window, waving her hands and shouting, "Dad, go back quickly. I'll write to you and Mom later."
"I understand." The man in simple clothes responded and turned to leave. The girl who was leaning against the window and urging her father to leave had red eyes and began to sob softly.
Meng Zhiyu was just hesitating whether to hand her some toilet paper when he saw her wipe a tear from her sleeve. He smiled at her sheepishly and said, "Hello, are you also an educated youth who went to the countryside?"
"Yes."
"My name is Li Qingqing. My father gave me the name. What's your name?"
"My name is Meng Zhiyu."
"Oh." Li Qingqing said, then turned around and asked the pretty girl who had been silent the whole time, "Hello, what's your name? My name is Li Qingqing."
The pretty girl turned her head and said softly, "I just heard it. My name is Li Tingman."
After introducing each other's names, silence fell again, and only the buzz of conversation coming from other carriages and outside the train could be heard.
Meng Zhiyu simply closed his eyes and pretended to sleep, immersing his consciousness in the systematic classroom to learn today's course, the second lesson of Traditional Chinese Medicine - Acupuncture Points of the Human Body.
The first class is a brief introduction to the history of traditional Chinese medicine and some simple information. This class is the real beginning of learning.
There are more than 700 acupuncture points in the human body, which are usually divided into fourteen meridian points, extraordinary points, and ah-shi points. The purpose of this lesson is to remember these three major categories of acupuncture points and the categories within these three categories.
This was something she had learned before, so she memorized the knowledge points of this lesson quickly, took the written test and face-to-face questions, and after passing, she still got a blind box. Since there were outsiders present, Wangcai put the blind box directly in the space.
Just as I was about to open it to see what was inside, I felt something heavy hit my leg.
I quickly opened my eyes and saw a worn fertilizer bag dropped at my feet. A girl carrying the fertilizer bag blushed and said, "Sorry, my hand slipped."
"It's okay." Meng Zhiyu shook his head and replied lightly. He looked around and found that there was one more man and two women than before.
Li Qingqing greeted her, helped her put her luggage away, and after she sat down, she asked, "My name is Li Qingqing, what's your name?"
"My name is Zhang Qingwan." Zhang Qingwan lowered his head slightly and kneaded the fertilizer bag in his arms.
"My name is Song Guangye." The only boy introduced himself.
The more Meng Zhiyu listened, the more he felt something was wrong. Why did these two names sound so familiar?
"I'm Li Lian'er. Are you all educated youth?" asked the girl sitting behind Meng Zhiyu.
"Yes, aren't you? Why don't you bring your luggage?" Zhang Qingwan asked with some confusion.
Meng Zhiyu looked around Li Lian'er. Apart from a small cloth bag in her arms, there was no other package.
