Chapter 121: Did they change counselors?

After finishing his business, Jiang Cheng told everyone to go back and attend military training on time tomorrow. "There are only a few days left in military training, so hang in there, everyone." He looked around and said, "Lin, you stay here for a bit, everyone else go back."

After most of the people had left, Lin Wanwan walked to the edge of the podium.

Jiang Cheng smiled and said, "Please sit down. It's nothing, don't be nervous."

Seeing Lin Wanwan sit down, Jiang Cheng finally spoke, "I know about your situation, and I've seen the evidence. You don't need to go to the training field tomorrow. You can go home or rest in your dorm if you want."

Seeing Lin Wanwan's slightly puzzled look, Jiang Cheng continued, "If you're going home, come to my office in a bit. I'll write you an application, and you can give it to the dorm manager."

Lin Wanwan thought for a moment and then said, "Thank you, Teacher Jiang, but I'll stay in the dorm. I can rest just as well there. I'm not that delicate; I don't need to go home to recuperate."

Jiang Cheng smiled and said, "Okay, you decide for yourself." He looked Lin Wanwan up and down and said, "You're not as delicate as the rumors say. It seems the rumors are not credible at all."

Lin Wanwan shrugged helplessly, "Who knew these people would be so bored, spreading lies about me everywhere?"

When she came out of the classroom, she found Zheng Yan still waiting for her at the door.

Lin Wanwan stepped forward and took her arm, saying, "Yanyan, how can you be so kind as to wait for me to go back together?"

"I see it's getting dark, and I'm worried it won't be safe for you to go home alone. Let's go."

The two returned to their dormitory, and Lin Wanwan was shivering. "It's almost April, why do I feel so cold?"

"The wind is too strong."

Zheng Yan poured the remaining hot water into her foot basin, saying, "Go soak your feet, I'll get some more hot water."

Lin Wanwan pulled her along, "I'll go with you, we'll carry it in buckets."

Zheng Yan was about to refuse when Lin Wanwan pulled her aside and said, "Come on, let's come back quickly and soak our feet together."

"Then bring a thermos, otherwise the water will be cold when we get back."

Lin Wanwan only felt warmer after soaking her feet when she got back. Luckily, she had put a hot water bottle in bed beforehand, otherwise she would have definitely been shivering as soon as she got into bed.

Lin Wanwan stayed in her dormitory and read books for three days before the military training ended.

Zhang Lin and Zhou Chuying went back to their dorm and cried in Lin Wanwan's arms. Even Wen Nuan's eyes were red.

Lin Wanwan was both amused and exasperated by their behavior. "Stop crying. Some people can only be with you for a while. Besides, the instructor has only known you for a short time. Why are you crying so much?"

Zheng Yan chimed in, "That's right, what's there to be sad about?"

Seeing that the two of them were about to cry again, Lin Wanwan quickly said, "The freshmen will have military training in the second half of the year, so you might run into them again."

The two looked at her with suspicion, so Lin Wanwan had no choice but to bite the bullet and say, "If you're destined to meet again, you will. You have to believe in the fate between you two."

The two then let her go, and Zheng Yan gave Lin Wanwan a thumbs up as she watched their backs.

Lin Wanwan shrugged. "My mom called and said she's coming to pick me up tomorrow to go to my grandpa's house. You're coming with me."

"Your family is reunited, what would I be doing there?"

“My maternal grandparents, my own parents, and my mother-in-law strongly insist that I bring you home for dinner. Are you ready?”

As Lin Wanwan was talking to her, someone knocked on the door. The person outside opened the door and said, "Lin Wanwan, are you in this dormitory? Someone downstairs is looking for you."

Lin Wanwan stood up, thanked her, put on her coat, and went downstairs.

She thought it was Mu Lin looking for her, but when she went downstairs she saw it was Lu Feng.

She walked up to Lu Feng in surprise and asked, "What are you doing here? You're back from school?"

Lu Feng gently hugged her and looked her up and down.

"Did Mom tell you? She said I fainted?"

"Why didn't you call me?" Lu Feng asked, frowning.

"Oh dear, stop frowning, you look like a little old man."

Seeing that he didn't look well, Lin Wanwan quickly hugged him and said, "I'm fine, I just have a little low blood sugar. Besides, I couldn't reach you when I called you. You were in military training. And when I woke up, I was already in the hospital and didn't know anything."

Lu Feng hugged her and couldn't resist leaning down to kiss the top of her head.

Lin Wanwan looked around, thankfully it was dark and no one was paying attention to them.

"Why did you come here? I was planning to pick you up first thing tomorrow morning, but after hearing about what happened to you from Mom, I rushed over. Shall we go home now?"

Lin Wanwan nodded. "I called my roommate. Mom said she wanted to thank her for taking me to the hospital last time."

Lu Feng nodded. "Go ahead, I'll wait for you downstairs."

Lin Wanwan turned to go back to her dorm when she heard someone call her, "Wanwan~~"

Lin Wanwan turned around and saw Mu Lin. She smiled and said, "Why did you come here?"

"I came to find you. Where did you come from?" Mu Lin quickly ran to Lin Wanwan's side.

Lin Wanwan walked up to Lu Feng with a smile, "Lu Feng, this is Mu Lin, we grew up together. And this is Brother Qin Mu, the son of my godfather's former brigade commander. I'll introduce you to him another time."

Turning to Mu Lin, he introduced her, "Mu Lin, let me introduce you. This is my husband, Lu Feng."

The two exchanged a handshake and then fell silent.

Sensing the awkward atmosphere, Lin Wanwan asked Mu Lin directly, "Are you going home tomorrow?"

"What's wrong?"

"Let's go to Grandpa's house for dinner. He's Gu Bei's grandpa, you know him, right? I'll also invite Qin Mu, I haven't seen him in a long time."

Mu Lin thought for a moment and then nodded, "Okay, how about I go and call Brother Qin Mu? I don't know if he's free."

"Okay, Brother Qin Mu knows where it is, you two come over together."

Mu Lin nodded. "Then I'll head back now."
