Chapter 123 Holiday Party 2

Lu Feng looked down at her, carefully examining her features. She seemed different from when he first met her, and also different from when they were children.

"What's wrong? Are you unhappy?" Lin Wanwan asked, looking into her eyes.

Seeing her cautious manner, Lu Feng felt a pang of sadness. He didn't like it; he preferred to see her smile brightly.

"You don't need to do this, I'm fine."

Lin Wanwan released her grip on him, took a step back, and looked at him, saying, "You seem alright? Lu Feng, if something's wrong, just say it."

The two stared at each other in silence. Seeing that he had no intention of communicating, Lin Wanwan turned and went to the side room to wash up.

After washing up, Lu Feng was still standing in the same spot, motionless.

Lin Wanwan paused for a moment, then stepped forward, trying to suppress her irritation, and said in a softer tone, "If you don't want to talk about it, wait until you do. Go wash up, it's late."

Seeing that Lu Feng still didn't move and didn't even look at her, Lin Wanwan turned around and left.

While lying in bed, I still couldn't hear any movement from inside the room.

Lin Wanwan felt a little wronged, and tears involuntarily fell, spreading like a white flower on the pillow.

She didn't know what was wrong with her; she was so delusional, thinking that she and Lu Feng were deeply in love.

Lin Wanwan didn't know what to do. She had no experience with this in either her previous life or this one.

The only thing she could think of was that if Lu Feng didn't want to be with her anymore, she would have to let him go, which was something the two of them had agreed on before their marriage.

I thought I could be carefree, after all, I've only known Lu Feng for less than a year, so why am I crying?

Lin Wanwan cried herself to sleep and didn't know when she fell asleep. All she knew was that Lu Feng didn't come to hug her until she fell asleep.

When Lin Wanwan woke up the next morning, she was alone in bed.

Lin Wanwan lay on her side, looking at the pillow next to her that had lost its warmth. She felt inexplicably sad, as if a large part of her heart had been emptied.

I lay in bed in a daze for a while before getting up. I sat on the edge of the bed, stunned, not knowing what to do.

Before, Lu Feng would always wake her up at home. If she was reluctant to get out of bed, Lu Feng would considerately dress her and even wipe her face.

Lin Wanwan lowered her head, picked at the embroidery on her nightgown with her fingers, and a tear fell onto her finger with a pat.

It wasn't until Bai Ying knocked on the door that Lin Wanwan came to her senses, her body feeling ice-cold.

After changing her clothes, she opened the door, pretending to be still half asleep, and asked, "What's wrong? Are you going to Grandpa's?"

Bai Ying nodded. "Auntie asked me to wake you up. Would you like some breakfast? It's almost ten o'clock."

"Okay, I'll come right after I wash up. Have you eaten yet?" Lin Wanwan asked, looking at her.

"What happened to your eyes?!" Bai Ying exclaimed in surprise.

"What's wrong? Don't make a fuss. I was thirsty last night and drank too much water. Is it a little swollen?"

Bai Ying nodded quickly, "It's red and swollen, are you sure it's okay?"

"Nothing's wrong," Lin Wanwan asked casually. "Where's Lu Feng?"

"He went to pick up your parents, first to your maternal grandfather's place, and then came back to pick us up. Didn't he say that?"

"I just got up. Where did he go to tell me? I'll go out right after I wash up. Could you go and see if Auntie has made me any soup dumplings?" Lin Wanwan said with a smile.

Bai Ying found it a little strange, but seeing that she seemed fine, she didn't ask any more questions. "I've done it, take your time, there's no rush."

After Bai Ying left, Lin Wanwan's shoulders slumped, and she wrung out a cold towel and applied it to her eyes.

After applying the ointment several times, Lin Wanwan finally felt that her eyes were not so swollen.

As soon as Lin Wanwan entered the main room and greeted Song Lanzhi, Tuanzi came running over.

"Mommy, hug me."

Lin Wanwan felt a pang of sadness in her heart upon hearing this, and hugged and kissed Tuanzi, "Baby, have you eaten yet?"

"Food, Mommy, let's eat," Tuanzi hugged Lin Wanwan's face and kissed her again and again.

Lin Wanwan smiled and said, "Mom's going to eat soon. Are you going to eat or not?"

After breakfast, Lin Wanwan sat on the sofa, holding her child, lost in thought.

Lu Feng returned shortly afterward, and as soon as he entered the house, he picked up Tuanzi from the sofa and bounced him around.

Tuanzi giggled happily, repeatedly calling out, "Daddy~"

Song Lanzhi stood up and said, "Let's go, let's go to Grandpa's house."

Lin Wanwan, Bai Ying, and Zheng Yan squeezed into the back seat, while Song Lanzhi sat in the passenger seat with Tuanzi in her arms.

The carriage was silent. Lin Wanwan hugged Bai Ying's arm and leaned on her shoulder, pretending to sleep.

Bai Ying looked down at her and asked, "Aren't you awake yet?"

Lin Wanwan responded softly and didn't say anything more.

When they arrived at the Xu family's house, Lin Wanwan carried Tuanzi into the courtyard. Zheng Yan noticed that Lin Wanwan was in low spirits, so she reached out and took Tuanzi, saying with a smile, "I'll carry you. You need to rest now."

"Don't exaggerate like that, okay? Tuanzi isn't that heavy," Lin Wanwan said with a smile, pinching Tuanzi's cheek. "Isn't that right, baby?"

Upon entering the house and seeing Xu Zhang, Lin Wanwan looked at her with surprise and delight, exclaiming, "Godmother!" She ran up to Xu Zhang, hugged her shoulders, and shook her.

"Godmother, when did you get back? Why didn't you tell me?"

"You don't know what happened the day before yesterday?" Xu Zhang chuckled and patted her arm. "Don't whine, you're just having a nightmare and you're feeling listless."

Lin Wanwan said with a smile, "I'm still sleepy."

"Mom and Dad," Lin Wanwan introduced Zheng Yan and the others, "this is my good friend from school, her name is Zheng Yan."

He Yumei pulled her aside and scolded, "Why didn't you tell your family about what happened to you? Did you try to hide it from us?"
