Chapter 163 Does he even deserve it?

Bai Ying didn't say anything, but just leaned on her shoulder and wiped her tears before speaking after a while.

"I can't concentrate on my studies these past two days. I'm feeling anxious because the college entrance exam is coming up soon, and I'm afraid I'll fail it."

"Did something happen at school? Are you under too much pressure? Or are your teachers treating you badly?"

How do you know everything?

"Tell me about it?" Lin Wanwan didn't press her, but simply waited quietly for her to finish crying.

Bai Ying wiped away her tears and began to recount what had recently happened.

“Recently, my teacher has been giving me a lot of trouble. She said that I don’t study properly and only know how to seduce boys. She said that I have bad intentions and that the boy’s family seems to have some power. Now he comes to block me after school every day.”

"Don't worry about the teacher for now. What's that shameless bastard's name?"

"It's okay, I'll graduate soon anyway, I can just bear with it a little longer."

Lin Wanwan glared at her, reached out and poked her forehead, "You're so useless. You've been talking to me for so long, how come you haven't learned any of my good qualities? You go crazy when things happen, and you throw tantrums anytime, anywhere. How come you haven't learned any of those good qualities?"

Bai Ying was stunned by what she said, touched her forehead, and immediately burst into laughter through her tears.

Lin Wanwan said irritably, "Endure what? Are you enduring like a turtle?"

"Wanwan, I'm afraid it will cause trouble and disqualify me from the exam."

Did your teacher threaten you?

Bai Ying bit her lip and remained silent, but Lin Wanwan felt she had guessed most of it.

"Don't worry about this. Don't go to school next week. You've finished your studies, so you should start reviewing, right?"

Bai Ying nodded.

"Then you can stay home for now. I promise I'll have your teacher come to your house to apologize to you on Wednesday, don't worry."

Lin Wanwan turned to leave, but Bai Ying grabbed her arm.

"Wanwan, what are you doing?"

Lin Wanwan shrugged. "What can a pregnant woman like me do? Do you think I'd bully people? Are you saying we're allowed to bully people, but I'm not allowed to retaliate? He's a teacher, dedicated to educating and nurturing students, yet he dares to threaten you. This wasn't even your fault. Instead of dealing with the culprit, he's threatening you. I want to see what kind of person that bastard is."

"No, you're looking for Uncle Lin? Don't go, don't bother Uncle Lin."

"How can being family be considered a burden? My parents treat you like their own child, can't you feel that?"

Lin Wanwan patted her hand reassuringly, "You should focus on your studies first. You absolutely cannot let this cause your grades to drop. Doing so will only embolden those bad guys. You need to cheer up and study hard to get into the Communication University of China and get revenge."

Bai Ying nodded, "I know, I won't slack off in my studies, I will work hard to get into my dream university."

"That's good. Leave everything else to us. Just focus on your studies."

Lin Wanwan walked and cursed, still looking angry when she reached the living room.

Lu Feng reached out and put his arm around her. "Is Bai Ying not feeling well?"

"She's hiding in her room crying. She's so angry. What a terrible teacher! Is this how he teaches and educates students? It's clearly that bastard who's been harassing Bai Ying. He even scolded Bai Ying for not studying and only knowing how to seduce men. He also threatened Bai Ying not to tell anyone, or he would disqualify her from the exam."

Lin Wanwan's face turned red with anger, and Lu Feng patted her back to help her catch her breath.

"Don't be angry, have some water first," Lu Feng handed her a glass of water.

"Could you help me find out who this Jian Sui is?"

Lu Feng remained silent, while Jiang Dongsheng smiled and said, "Lao Lu has already called someone to help investigate, and we should have news soon."

Lin Wanwan looked up at Lu Feng in surprise, "So fast?"

"Yes, I just asked Xiao Hai. Don't worry too much, I'll look into this."

“There are just too many powerful and influential people in the capital, like the Jian family, who are powerful and influential…” Jiang Dongsheng turned to look at Xia Yang with a half-smile.

"Ask Old Xia about this. His maternal grandfather's family name is Jian. But I remember that both of your uncles had two daughters. What's the background of this Jian Sui? Is he a distant relative of yours? Or is there some newly arrived wealthy family in Beijing that we don't know about?"

Xia Yang said coldly, "He is my uncle's illegitimate son. It's been many years. Recently, that woman has been making a fuss about getting a title, and my uncle is already at his wit's end."

Xia Yang was speechless. After a moment of thought, he said, "I didn't know this person would dare to use the Jian family's name to swindle and deceive people."

Jiang Dongsheng stared at his profile, somewhat lost in thought. Xia Yang seemed to sense something and turned to look at him.

Xia Yang then lowered his head and continued, "Sister-in-law, you can leave Jian Sui to me. It's not convenient for me to get involved with the school."

"Why didn't you say so earlier? I even had someone investigate," Lu Feng asked, frowning.

"I didn't realize it for a moment. He's just an illegitimate child. Does he deserve my attention? It was only when Dongsheng mentioned it that I realized it."

Lu Feng was still a little worried. "Is it convenient for you to go? If not, let Jiang Dongsheng go. Anyway, he's shameless and has the reputation of being a troublemaker outside."

"Can't you be reasonable? I'm taking the blame for you guys. When we were kids, it was all because of that bastard Zhou Ming. Otherwise, would I have been carrying this reputation for so many years?"

Xia Yang chuckled lightly, "It's nothing, just an illegitimate child. He's shameless, so I don't need to be shameless for him either."

Seeing Lu Feng frown, Jiang Dongsheng smiled and said, "Don't worry, with me here, what could possibly happen to him?"

Lin Wanwan's eyes darted between their faces, her heart filled with curiosity, but she didn't ask them anything about their dreams.

"Since you and Lu Feng are friends, I won't say thank you; it would be too formal. Although I'm not very capable, feel free to contact me anytime if you need anything. I'll do my best to help if I can."

"As long as my sister-in-law says so," Jiang Dongsheng said, leaning back on the sofa with a nonchalant air.

That evening, Lin Wanwan was still worried, so she called Lin Jianbang.

Lin Jianbang angrily smashed his cup on the other end of the line. Bai Ying and Bai Qi were his deceased children, and he would take good care of them regardless of the circumstances.

Now that something had happened to his child right under his nose, he naturally wouldn't sit idly by, and that very night he called the principal of the affiliated high school.

Lin Wanwan didn't know exactly what was said, only that Bai Ying didn't go to school on Monday, and that afternoon the homeroom teacher came directly to her house.

Song Lanzhi had her aunt bring the person directly to the living room. The teacher only said that Bai Ying hadn't come to school and that she had come to find out what was going on.

Song Lanzhi dismissed the person with a few words, without mentioning whether Bai Ying would go to school the next day.

After receiving a call from Song Lanzhi that evening, Lin Wanwan went back to her dorm and thought about it. The next morning, she decided to take the day off and go home.

As soon as she arrived at the school gate, Lin Wanwan sat down on a flower bed to rest.

Where to?

Lin Wanwan looked up, smiling happily, "Senior brother, what brings you here?"

"I was running errands nearby and was originally going to bring you some dessert, but luckily I saw you, otherwise I would have missed it. Do you want to go out?"

"Yes, I want to go home. Bai Ying has something to do, and I'm worried about her, so I want to go back and check on her. I'm tired from walking, so I'll sit down and rest."
