Hu Qing pointed at him and said, "I've never seen you talk so slyly before. Who taught you that?"
Cheng Jinyan didn't speak, but his eyes glanced directly at Lin Wanwan.
Lin Wanwan immediately took a step back. "What are you doing? I didn't corrupt you. Don't try to blame me."
"Hahahaha," Hu Qing was amused by the two clowns, "Senior brother is so lucky, all his students are excellent."
Lin Wanwan was taken aback when he called her "senior brother" and looked at Cheng Jinyan with a questioning look.
Cheng Jinyan explained, "Director Hu is the teacher's junior brother, so you could call him your senior uncle."
Hu Qing smiled and said, "Study hard, and you'll be able to get a job in our department someday."
Lin Wanwan nodded frantically, "Of course, I'm working so hard to get in."
Hu Qing nodded in satisfaction, "You've inherited your grandfather's mantle. Is your godmother back?"
Lin Wanwa was slightly surprised to see how well he knew about her situation.
"Yes, I'm back. It's been almost half a month."
Seeing her surprise, Hu Qing smiled kindly and said, "Your grandfather called me several times, telling me not to scold you and that if I bullied you, I wouldn't have a good time."
Lin Wanwan was a little embarrassed. "My grandfather saw that I was pregnant and was worried that I would be mistreated outside. Please don't blame him, Uncle."
When Hu Qing heard her call him "uncle-master," he pointed at her and said, "Your whole family is so protective of each other. Your grandfather invited me to dinner at his house tonight. Are you going?"
"Since my uncle has said so, I will definitely go, and my senior brother will go too."
Just then, a knock sounded at the door. Hu Qing, with a stern face, said to the person outside, "Come in!"
The person who came in was Qin Su. Lin Wanwan knew what it was about and stood up to leave.
Hu Qing stopped Cheng Jinyan and said, "You'll be in charge of this event, and Wanwan will assist you. If you're busy, just let her handle things."
Qin Su panicked for a moment when she heard his words, "Director!"
Hu Qing ignored her and nodded to the two of them, "You two can go out first. Be careful, I'll have Qin Su come to you to hand over the work later."
As the two went outside, Cheng Jinyan looked down and asked her, "What happened? Director Hu actually replaced someone at the last minute."
Lin Wanwan briefly recounted what had happened that day.
"She insisted on going to complain, and ended up digging her own grave. What can I do?"
"There are no precautions for personnel in the materials?"
"No, the information is very simple, just the most basic personal information."
Cheng Jinyan's expression was somewhat serious. "Don't tell anyone about this yet. Leave it to me and my martial uncle."
"Yes, I know. I was planning to call you tonight and mention it."
"Is someone bullying you?"
Lin Wanwan looked at him amusedly, "Senior brother, do I look like a little white rabbit?"
Cheng Jinyan couldn't help but reach out and pat her head.
When he looked up, he saw Qin Zijun standing in front of the corridor, watching him and Lin Wanwan.
Cheng Jinyan frowned as he looked at her.
Lin Wanwan also noticed his unusual behavior and looked up ahead.
"Senior sister, what a coincidence! Didn't senior brother say you were in another building?"
Qin Zijun smiled and said, "It is quite a coincidence."
Lin Wanwan felt the atmosphere was a bit awkward, so she looked up at Cheng Jinyan and said, "Director Cheng, may I make a phone call?"
When Cheng Jinyan heard her call him "Director," he almost couldn't help but laugh. "Let's go, I'll take you there."
He didn't even glance at Qin Zijun.
Qin Zijun watched their retreating figures, bit her lip, and said nothing.
Lin Wanwan asked Cheng Jinyan after she had walked a distance away, "Is she pursuing you?"
Cheng Jinyan raised an eyebrow and looked down at her with a half-smile.
Lin Wanwan said awkwardly, "Well, it's a woman's intuition, and the way he looked at me, it was like he was treating me as a potential enemy."
Cheng Jinyan patted her head, "Children shouldn't meddle in adult matters."
Lin Wanwan was furious and glared at him, saying, "I'm going to be a mother soon."
"Even as a mother, you're still a child."
Lin Wanwan called home, and Jiang Dongsheng answered. "Sister-in-law, when are you coming back? I haven't seen you in so long, I miss you terribly."
Lin Wanwan was embarrassed. "Um, where's Lu Feng? I need to talk to him."
Before Jiang Dongsheng could say anything more, Lu Feng kicked him away. "Wanwan, what's wrong?"
Lin Wanwan mentioned dinner that evening, saying, "Why don't you go over earlier and buy some snacks for Grandma, and some tea for Grandpa? Oh, and the dresses I made for Godmother and Grandma before, you can take those with you too."
Lu Feng listened quietly to her arrangements, a warm feeling welling up inside him, and he felt very lucky to have married her.
"I know, should we bring Tuanzi?"
"Hmm, let's not bring her today. We'll bring Tuanzi over to play next time."
Lu Feng nodded, "I understand, don't worry, shall I pick you up later?"
"I won't answer. I'll go with my senior brother."
After finishing her call, Lin Wanwan chatted with Cheng Jinyan for a few more minutes before leaving.
Cheng Jinyan suddenly stopped her, "Qin Su is Qin Zijun's sister. She's not a full-time employee, but she's high-profile and extreme. Director Hu will probably fire her this time, so be careful when you go back."
Lin Wanwan nodded, "I understand, I won't go looking for trouble."
As they strolled back to the training room, a team member approached and asked, "What's wrong? You've been gone for so long. Qin Su went too, and she still hasn't come back."
Most of the people in the training room disapproved of Qin Su's bullying, but a few others fawned over her and became her lackeys.
Lin Wanwan's group only had four people, and none of them liked Qin Su. They often gossiped about her when they were together.
"Qin Su's sister works in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Did you offend Qin Su? Will you be in trouble?"
