Hu Qing was happy today, and a smile was on his face the whole time.
"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is facing an increasing number of tasks and a shortage of manpower. They are looking for external assistance, mostly students from universities. This decision was made by higher authorities, so it is not easy to get in. They also have to sign a confidentiality agreement, and the political vetting is very strict."
Xu Zhe's expression softened a little after hearing what he said.
"That would be fine, Wanwan, what do you think?"
Lin Wanwan nodded excitedly, "Okay, okay, I'm willing."

Xu Zhang asked nervously, "Is it still very painful?"

Qian Qian came over to comfort her, "It's okay, they probably disturbed the child. You were just too happy. It's alright, rest here for a bit, you'll be fine in a little while. I'll have the nanny bring over some food, is there anything else you'd like to eat?"
After Lin Wanwan changed the child's position for a while, the child indeed stopped kicking her. "Grandma, I can't eat right now. Go eat, Niemining. I'll rest here for a bit."
Qian Qian nodded, "Just have Lu Feng go to the kitchen and tell Auntie what you want to eat."
Lin Wanwan nodded and urged her and Xu Zhang to go eat.
After the two left, Lu Feng still frowned as he looked at her stomach.
"It's okay, we're not playing anymore."
Lu Feng placed his hand on her stomach and leaned closer, saying, "If you keep kicking people randomly, I really will hit you."
Lin Wanwan found it amusing, but she ignored him and told him to lower his head and talk to the child.
Whether it was from the intense pain or from being too tired today, Lin Wanwan fell asleep on the sofa without realizing it.
She was sleeping soundly, so Lu Feng didn't carry her back to her room, afraid of waking her up.
He simply found a blanket and draped it over her stomach.
When Qian Qian and the others arrived, they saw that she was asleep, so they unconsciously lowered their voices to chat.
After Cheng Jinyan and Hu Qing left, Lin Wanwan was still asleep.
Lu Feng had no choice but to wake her up, "Do you want something to eat?"
Lin Wanwan was indeed hungry. "What time is it?"
"It's past nine o'clock, are you hungry?"
Lin Wanwan nodded, "I'm hungry, is there anything else to eat?"
"You weren't feeling well earlier, so I asked the housekeeper to stew a pigeon. It's been over two hours, so it should be ready to drink now. Would you like to drink it now?"
Lin Wanwan thought for a moment and nodded, "Will it taste good now? There probably isn't enough time."
“I’ll go take a look,” Xu Zhang said, standing up.
"Mom, I want to eat steamed egg with minced meat. Do you still have the spare ribs from earlier?"
"Yes, I'll make it for you."
Watching her leave, Qian Qian pinched Lin Wanwan's nose and said, "Your mom is so happy with your sweet talk."
Lin Wanwan smiled and didn't say anything, leaning against Lu Feng.
"The event is almost here, are you feeling alright?"
Lin Wanwan shook her head, "I've looked at the event schedule. The activities each day aren't scheduled too intensively, and there are four people in each group, each responsible for one engineer. It'll be fine."
Xu Zhe nodded, "If you need anything, go find your senior brother. He's in charge of you guys now, right?"
"Hmm, did the teacher say that?"
"You said you were bullied?" Xu Zhe asked her with a smile.
"No, it wasn't bullying. Besides, I'm not someone to be trifled with; I won't just stand there and let myself be bullied."
"Hahahaha," Xu Zhe laughed, "I've met Ziju's younger sister a few times. She's very willful. Since you're pregnant, don't go against her when you meet her later."
“I know, Grandpa, why isn’t my brother here today?”
Xu Zhang sighed, "He's on a mission, he's not here."
Lin Wanwan knew she couldn't ask anything else, and no one would know anyway, so she could only nod.
After the meal, the two didn't go back home but stayed at the Xu family's house.
The next day, the Lu family was moving. Lu Feng took Lin Wanwan to the ministry and then drove straight home.
As soon as Lin Wanwan got out of the car, she noticed that many people were staring at her.
Lin Wanwan ignored it, waved to Lu Feng, and then walked into the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She showed her work ID, went through the inspection and registration process, and none of the procedures could be skipped.
As soon as she went inside, she saw Jinling waiting for her. "Did your husband bring you here?"
"Yes, I was at my maternal grandfather's house yesterday, and he brought me here this morning."
Jinling looked around and whispered, "So many people have been watching you these past few days."
"Let them look. I'm so beautiful, why would I be afraid of them looking?"
Jinling laughed heartily at her joke.
Everything proceeded smoothly on the day of the event.
They were all wearing the same custom-made clothes that day. When Lin Wanwan first received them, she was a little surprised. The girls wore cheongsams, and the boys wore Zhongshan suits.
Lin Wanwan was pregnant, so she could only make loose-fitting, wide-sleeved styles, but all the designs were the same, with each person wearing a work badge on their chest.
