After laying out the bamboo mat, Lin Wanwan fetched a basin of clean water and wiped the dust off the mat. She wiped it three times and changed the water three times before she felt relieved.
Then he took his things to another bedroom to tidy up, and waited until Lin Wanwan finished tidying up.
Wang Lin and his men were already clearing the table when Lin Wanwan quickly said, "Don't bother, I'll do it."
“Alright, let’s go move our things. We’ll leave this to you, sister-in-law,” Wang Lin said without any hesitation, and led the group to move more things.
The group didn't finish until 10 p.m. Lin Wanwan thanked them and saw them to the door, saying, "We'll invite you over to play again after we've cleaned up. You must come! I'll cook you something delicious."
"Sure, sister-in-law, we'll come over as guests after you've finished tidying up. Don't hesitate to ask if you need any help, and don't be shy about asking us," Wang Lin said before leaving with his entourage.
When Lin Wanwan returned to the room, she saw that Lin Xiaohai had already washed the dishes, tidied the table, and was boiling water in the kitchen.
"Did the sun rise in the west? So diligent?"
"Sister, you should look at me with new eyes after three days of separation. I am no longer the person I used to be."
"Oh, you can use idioms now? It seems that having you study has been effective. Study hard tomorrow."
"Sis!! Do you have to be like this? You're such a skinflint!!"
"I'll slap you, you believe me?!" Lin Wanwan glared at him.
"Brother-in-law, can't you control your wife?!"
Lu Feng put his arm around Lin Wanwan and kissed the top of her head. "Go take a shower. Aren't you tired after a long day?"
Lin Xiaohai rolled his eyes, went back to his room, and closed the door.
Lin Wanwan blushed and pushed him away, saying, "What are you doing? We're arguing right now."
"Your brother has asked me for help, I have to help him!"
"Is this how you help me? You're being a scoundrel, Lu Feng," Lin Wanwan glared at him.
Lu Feng kissed her eyes again, "Go take a shower, the water's all boiled."
Lin Wanwan lay on the bed. Although it wasn't as soft as her bed at home, it was big enough for her to roll around in.
When Lu Feng came in, he saw Lin Wanwan rolling around with a pillow in her arms, her nightgown rolled up around her waist, revealing her lace thong underneath.
He went up to her and patted her on the bottom, "What are you doing? Why aren't you asleep?"
"Lu Feng, can you stop being such a scoundrel? I'm calling the police!!" Lin Wanwan glared at him.
“A legally married couple,” Lu Feng pointed to the photo frame on the desk, which contained two marriage certificates.
Lin Wanwan rolled over again, turning her back to him, and said, "Go to sleep, turn off the light."
Lu Feng didn't speak, but chuckled softly.
After turning off the lights and getting into bed, Lu Feng hugged Lin Wanwan and tried to kiss her, but Lin Wanwan quickly covered his mouth, saying, "Aren't you tired? Go to sleep."
Lu Feng rolled over with her in his arms, letting her lie on top of him, and his hands wandered around her lower back.
Lin Wanwan released her hand from his mouth and then pulled his lower back. "Don't make a fuss. Tuanzi is still sleeping there. You'll wake him up if you disturb him."
"Then keep your voice down, so you won't wake him up," Lu Feng said, turning over and pinning her down.
Before Lin Wanwan could say anything, Lu Feng kissed her on the lips.
Lin Wanwan slept until after 10 a.m. before getting up. When she opened the door, she found that no one was home.
"Where did everyone go? Honestly, they didn't even call me," Lin Wanwan muttered as she washed up.
After washing up, Lin Wanwan chose a beige striped cheongsam made of cotton and linen, which was breathable and comfortable to wear in the summer.
I found a pair of white, square-toed, lace-up flat leather shoes. The uppers have a layer of embroidered lace, which looks very nice, and they're not tiring to walk in.
Actually, Lu Feng bought these shoes before he left, and Lin Wanwan was very touched to see what he had prepared.
Lin Wanwan didn't want to put on makeup today. She just tied her hair into a side braid and tied a silk scarf on it as decoration. After looking in the mirror, she prepared to go out to find someone.
Lin Wanwan was a little hungry and regretted leaving the house as soon as she stepped out, thinking she should have eaten something before going out.
As she approached the entrance of the family compound, she saw a group of military wives surrounding a man. Upon closer inspection, she realized that the man in the middle was none other than Lin Xiaohai.
Lin Xiaohai was surrounded by a group of middle-aged women and older women, and he couldn't squeeze out of the crowd. He was so anxious that he kept turning around in circles. When these military wives heard that he was Lu Feng's brother-in-law, they surrounded him and asked him all sorts of questions. They even wanted to hold Tuanzi, but Tuanzi was shy and cried loudly.
"Xiao Hai," Lin Wanwan called out to him.
Hearing his sister's voice was like seeing a savior. He turned around and ran over when no one was paying attention. "Sister, help! These military wives are scary! I just brought Tuanzi out to play."
Lin Wanwan gave him a reassuring look and went to hug Tuanzi, who had already reached out his arms.
"Tuanzi, why are you crying? Who bullied our little darling?" Lin Wanwan had a handkerchief on her person when she went out, and now it came in handy. She took it off and wiped Tuanzi's tears.
"Did you get scared, Tuanzi? Don't be afraid, Mommy's here," she said, and then kissed Tuanzi.
At this moment, a voice came from the crowd, "Mom? Who do you think you are? Did you give birth to me? You think you can just let people call you Mom? How shameless!"
Lin Wanwan didn't even raise her head, her expression gentle, and she said in a calm voice, "I'm Lu Feng's wife. If he doesn't call me 'Mom,' should he call you 'Mom'? I see you're quite old, do you really want to marry Lu Feng? Why don't you come with me and ask Lu Feng if he's willing? Or I'll give up my seat for you?"
Lin Wanwan didn't know who the speaker was, but she was not someone to be trifled with.
"What nonsense are you spouting, you brat?"
"So you know the idiom 'talking nonsense'? I thought you didn't. You just spout it off without thinking. Do you think this is your own backyard? Do you think I'm your cat or dog? You can just beat and humiliate me at will? Why don't you go ask the political commissar and the regimental commander now, if this child calls me 'Mom,' is it me who's shameless, or you, you old hag, who's shameless?"
