Chapter 25 Apology 2

Seeing her like this, Lu Feng couldn't help but ask, "Why won't you kiss me?"

Lin Wanwan looked at him as if she'd seen a ghost. "Lu Feng, are you possessed? Why are you jealous of your son?"

Seeing that Tuanzi was nodding sleepily, Lin Wanwan picked him up and coaxed him until he fell asleep in a few minutes.

After putting the child in the crib, Lin Wanwan noticed Lu Feng sitting on the sofa, staring at her intently.

"What are you doing?" Lin Wanwan looked at him speechlessly.

"Aren't you going to kiss me?" Lu Feng asked, staring at her with a mournful expression.

"How old are you, young master? Why are you jealous of a child?" Lin Wanwan sat down next to him and kissed his cheek.

Lu Feng then cupped her face in his hands and kissed her, satisfied. "What are you planning to do this afternoon? Do you want to take a nap?"

"I'm not going to sleep. I'm going to sew some curtains and sofa covers myself this afternoon to decorate the house."

"What do you need me to do if I'm with you?" Lu Feng asked, putting his arm around her waist.

Lin Wanwan thought for a moment, "Hmm, I haven't thought of anything yet. I'll call you if there's anything I need you to do later."

Lu Feng hugged her and kissed her. "Go ahead, I'll go with you."

"Lu Feng, aren't you being too clingy? Were you always like this? I never would have guessed," Lin Wanwan said, looking at him strangely.

"It seems like I'm only clinging to you right now, and I've only ever been clinging to you."

Lin Wanwan cupped his face and kissed him, then turned and went inside to find some cloth.

"Lu Feng, wait half an hour for Xiao Hai to get up and study. This is the first task I'm giving you. Please make sure you do it well, Comrade Lu Feng."

Lu Feng laughed heartily, "I know, my dear wife, I promise to complete the mission."

Lin Wanwan found the floral fabric and lace fabric she had bought before, as well as a small roll of green plaid fabric and gauze curtains.

Lin Wanwan decided to make the bedroom curtains first. With two windows, she used chiffon floral fabric for the curtains, lace for the valance, and a layer of white gauze curtain, with a piece of floral fabric sewn under the gauze curtain.

Lin Wanwan finished making a window in no time. "Lu Feng, your job is here!"

Lu Feng put down the book he was holding, walked in, and asked her, "What do you need me to do?"

"Can we cut down the trees in the mountains?" Lin Wanwan asked him, looking up at him.

"Okay, but do we need a tree?" Lu Feng asked, puzzled.

“We originally needed an iron rod, but it’s too difficult to lift things, so we’re using a wooden stick instead. Can you help me, honey?” Lin Wanwan said with a smile.

"How many do you want? I'll get them."

“Besides the kitchen, every room needs one. You need to measure the dimensions and think of a way to fix the wooden sticks so that they won’t fall when you draw the curtains, and also make it easy to remove and wash the curtains.”

Seeing that Lu Feng didn't speak, Lin Wanwan looked up at him and said coquettishly, "Thank you, honey, you've worked so hard."

Lu Feng pinched her cheek and turned to leave. "Hey, wait, is Xiao Hai awake yet?"

"I'm up, I'm reading. Do you want to go take a look?" Lu Feng asked her.

Lin Wanwan stood up and took his arm. "Yes, I'll go check if he's slacking off."

Pushing open the door, Lin Wanwan saw Lin Xiaohai fast asleep on the table. Furious, she slapped him on the back.

Lin Xiaohai was so slapped that he was wide awake. When he turned around and saw that it was Lin Wanwan, he swallowed the words he was about to say.

“Take the book to the living room and read it at the dining table,” Lin Wanwan flipped through his book. “Start from this page and count twenty pages from here. If you don’t finish reading it this afternoon, you can skip dinner.”

Lin Wanwan pointed at him with a stern face and said, "Don't you dare try anything funny. After you finish reading this afternoon, I'll give you some questions tonight. If you dare to get them all wrong, you can stay here and study in high school."

Lin Xiaohai wailed, "Sis, do you have to be so cruel? Be careful, or my brother-in-law will dislike you."

“I love your sister no matter what she’s like. I would never dislike her. Don’t try to sow discord between us.”

After Lu Feng finished speaking, Lin Wanwan glared at Lin Xiaohai and said, "Do you think twenty pages is too few? How about we read forty pages?"

"That's enough, sis, I'll take it to the living room to look at it right away."

Seeing that he was engrossed in his book, Lin Wanwan went to do her own thing.

While agonizing over what fabric to use for the living room curtains, Lin Wanwan was so startled by a knock on the door that she almost stepped on her own hand with the sewing machine needle.

Lin Wanwan said irritably, "Go open the door and see who it is. Knocking on the door like you're attending a funeral is so annoying. Don't you have any manners?"

Lin Xiaohai obediently stood up to open the door. Lin Wanwan didn't hear any movement for a while and thought something had happened, so she stood up and walked towards the door.

As soon as Lin Wanwan entered the living room, she heard Lin Xiaohai say, "What are you doing here? You're not welcome in our house. We haven't settled the score for you insulting my sister last time. What? You want to come to our house and insult her again? Last time I didn't hold it against you because of my brother-in-law and because you're a woman, but I'm not so easy to talk to now. We won't let you in. If you want to bully my sister, you'll have to see if I agree to it."

Lin Wanwan couldn't help but find it amusing when she heard him say that.

In his own novel, the younger brother's ending isn't very good; besides causing trouble every day, he also asks his parents and sister for money.

He was eventually arrested for selling white powder, sentenced to life imprisonment, and ultimately committed suicide in prison.

Lin Wanwan wanted him to study and go to university so that he could stay away from those friends. Lin Wanwan wanted to try to change the ending that involved him. Her own and Lu Feng's fates had changed, so he should be fine too.

Hearing that another argument was about to break out outside, Lin Wanwan came out and said, "Xiaohai, let them in. What kind of behavior is it to block the door? I don't care if others are ill-mannered or have no manners, but we can't act like this. How did our parents teach us?"

Hearing Lin Wanwan's sarcastic tone, Xiao Hongjun's expression also turned sour.
