Chapter 251

He Yumei said with a smile, "She just won't listen to reason, she's very opinionated."

"By the way, Uncle Xu, Aunt Qian, I think the weather has cooled down a bit recently. Let's go to Jiangnan for a while. We've returned our ancestral home. Wanwan, you had it renovated. It's perfect for us to stay there for a while. The garden there is so beautiful."

"Jiangnan?" Xu Zhe turned his head to look at Lin Wanwan.

“Yes, my mom said today that she wants to go back and stay for a few days. She has been away from home for so many years. She rushed to Beijing for my grandma's health, but she didn't stay for more than a few days. I thought that the weather is getting cooler, so you should all go and stay with her. My mother-in-law will go too.”

Qian Qian was somewhat tempted, but after thinking about it, she shook her head. "It's too far. Your grandfather and I are too old to go."

Lin Wanwan grabbed her arm and said, "Don't worry about that. I've talked to my older brother, and we'll charter a plane. Grandpa, Grandma, Uncle, and Aunt will all go, and we'll bring three aunties along. They can take care of you. I'll ask Grandpa and Grandma Cheng if you can have a good time and stay for a few more months."

He Yumei also smiled and said, "Go ahead, the garden over there is huge and the scenery is beautiful, just treat it as a vacation."

After discussing it with Xu Zhe, Qian Qian finally nodded in agreement.

"Then I'll go and make the arrangements," Lin Wanwan said with a smile.

After finishing her meal and returning home, Lin Wanwan went to discuss the matter with Lu Anyang.

He knocked on Lu Anyang's door, but Zhang Junyi opened it instead.

Lin Wanwan paused for a moment and said, "Where's my older brother? I need his help."

Zhang Junyi's face turned slightly red. "He's taking a shower; he should be out soon."

Lin Wanwan thought for a moment, "Then I'll come again tomorrow, there's no rush."

Without waiting for Zhang Junyi to speak, he turned and left.

Seeing that she returned so quickly, Lu Feng asked, "Why are you back so soon?"

Lin Wanwan said with a grin, "It seems like my older brother is taking a shower. I have to avoid suspicion. I'll discuss it with him tomorrow, and I also need to talk to my senior brother, Aunt Chen, and ask Mom."

Lu Feng listened as she counted them carefully.

"Once they're gone, you can finally get a few days of rest. You've really lost weight lately."

Lu Feng held her tightly, his heart aching.

"Yes, I'm just worried about my godmother."

"Don't worry, Dr. Jin said that as long as Godmother can eat, she will definitely get better."

Lin Wanwan nodded. "Yes, I hope so."

The next day, Lin Wanwan didn't rest at all. She first discussed it with Song Lanzhi, who was naturally willing, but she was worried about the two little ones.

"Don't worry, Mom. We have a housekeeper and I. We'll take good care of them."

"Then let An Yang and Lu Feng take care of them. Don't overwork yourself. You're getting thinner and thinner. I'm telling you, you worry too much."

"What can I do? I'm just destined to worry."

Lin Wanwan turned to Lu Anyang to discuss the charter flight.

"No problem, I'll arrange it."

"Then thank you in advance, brother."

Lu Anyang glanced at her. "Do you have to be so polite with me?"

Lin Wanwan smiled.

After arranging everything, Lin Wanwan decided to take them there herself, as she was really worried about them. Lu Feng and Gu Beidou couldn't leave, and Lin Xiaohai had also started school.

As soon as he got off the plane, Lu Anyang found a minibus to drive to the airport tarmac to pick him up.

The driver got out and looked at Lin Wanwan, asking her a question.

“Miss Lin, right? I’m the driver Mr. Lu hired. He rented this car for a month. If you need a car recently, just contact me. My surname is Wang, you can call me Master Wang.”

Lin Wanwan nodded, "Let's go back first, tidy up and let the old man rest."

Mr. Wang naturally had no objections. The employer was so generous, giving so much money and providing food and lodging, so it was up to the employer to decide where they went.

"Okay, I'll go help carry the luggage."

The group arrived at their destination, put their luggage away, and rested.

Lin Wanwan brought three aunties with her.

With so many people, including elderly, I'm worried we won't be able to take care of everyone.

"Aunt Zhang, I'll have to trouble you with this."

"Xiao Lin, don't be so polite. I've been helping the Lu family for so many years. You are all very good people, I know that."

“I’ll find a few more aunties from the neighborhood to help you with cleaning, laundry and other chores, but you’ll have to take care of them.”

Okay, I understand.

Seeing that she was busy, Lin Wanwan told her not to cook dinner and that they could stay out together.

"Mom, aren't you tired? Why are you sitting here?"

Lin Wanwan walked to the pavilion and looked at Xu Zhang, asking, "Godmother, are you tired?"

"No, I'm not in such bad health, don't worry."

Lin Wanwan smiled and said, "I'm just afraid of tiring you out, or my godfather will cause me trouble again."

Xu Zhang slapped her lightly, clearly annoyed.

He Yumei looked at her daughter, momentarily dazed. This was the place where she grew up. At 16, she studied nursing and, with a heart full of enthusiasm, went to serve her country. Ignoring her family's objections, she went to the front line. After so many years, she brought her daughter and friends back for a short stay. She couldn't quite describe her feelings.

He Yumei regretted not staying here when she came before.

Looking at her daughter's face, which resembled her own, He Yumei felt as if she were seeing herself back at home, just as fond of acting spoiled with her parents and brother.

"Mom, what are you thinking about?"

He Yumei snapped out of her daze, looked at her, and smiled, "Looking at you is like seeing my younger self, acting all cute and spoiled in front of your grandparents and uncles."

Lin Wanwan smiled and took a sip of tea. "Am I prettier?"

He Yumei was amused by her, "Aren't you ashamed?"

"Mom, you two sit for a while and then go back to rest. I told the housekeeper that we won't be cooking at home tonight. We're all tired, so let's eat out."
