"I know it's not right for me to be like this, but I can't help it. I'm just so envious. I envy how good they are to you. Even though you're not their biological child, they're still so good to you. I just... I just... I just can't accept it."
"People are all about reciprocity. My kindness to them is genuine. I treat them like family, and they naturally treat me the same way, as if I were one of their own."
Lin Wanwan stood up and looked down at her. "I don't want any conflict with you. I just hope that now that they've moved out, you can live your own life with my brother."
Li Zimu kept his head down and shed tears.
"sorry."
"No need. They're the ones who've been so open and honest with you, and you're the one who's wronged. Go back soon, my brother will worry about you."
"I know."
Seeing that Lin Wanwan was about to leave, Li Zimu stood up and said.
"I'm sorry, could you please not hate me?"
Lin Wanwan didn't stop walking; she got into the car and left.
I went home and complained to Lu Feng about it.
Lu Feng sighed helplessly, "If we live separately from now on, there won't be so many problems. Don't take it too seriously. After all, he still has to live with your brother."
“I know that. As long as she doesn’t bully her grandparents and godparents all the time, who would want to argue with her?”
"I see now, this protectiveness is hereditary."
Lin Wanwan nestled in his arms, laughing incessantly.
"Your genes are pretty good. If you dare to bully me, I have plenty of people to help me."
"I wouldn't dare. My mom is always thinking about you. How could I dare to bully you? That would be courting death."
Lin Wanwan laughed non-stop, "You know that's good. Don't mess with me in the future, or you'll become the target of everyone's criticism and be cursed to death."
"I wouldn't dare. I wouldn't dare offend anyone but Miss, would I?"
Lin Wanwan propped herself up on her arms and looked at him, "Have you been corrupted by your older brother, or by Brother Bei?"
"Yes, they all exist; these are all ways to survive."
Hahahahaha
The next morning, Lin Wanwan and Lu Feng drove to the Xu family's house.
As soon as they reached the door, Lin Wanwan called out, "Grandpa and Grandma, let's go out!"
"Kid, keep your voice down. It's only a little past seven. What are you shouting for?"
"Grandma, why are you scolding me so early in the morning?"
"Let's go, let's go, stop shouting, we're all ready."
"So fast?"
Xu Zhang came out and poked her forehead, "What are you shouting for? You'll wake up the whole building in a minute."
"My voice isn't that loud."
Lin Wanwan took Qian Qian's arm. "Let's go, let's go have some morning tea, and then we'll go look at houses."
After finishing their morning tea, the group arrived at the villa area around 11:30 a.m.
Lin Wanwan used the key to open the iron gate.
"Grandma, here's a bunch of keys for you. It says on them which door they open."
Qian Qian smiled and replied, "Then I won't stand on ceremony. Just like your grandfather said, a family doesn't need to talk about such empty words."
"Of course, if you keep making excuses, I'll get angry."
The garden is decorated in a Chinese style. To the left of the entrance is a parking garage, and to the right of the iron gate is a rockery landscape, as well as a particularly beautiful welcoming pine tree.
You have to walk around the artificial hill to officially enter the garden; the flowers here have been planted for almost a year now.
The wall was covered with climbing roses, and on the left was a stream leading to the artificial hill outside. Lin Wanwan designed a small bridge here.
The bridge used to be a flower shed, covered with wisteria. Now that the season of its lush blooming has passed, there are only a few sparse clusters of flowers left.
There's a small round table under the flower trellis; it's so comfortable to sit here and cool off in the summer evenings.
"This place is so beautiful," Xu Zhang couldn't help but exclaim.
Xu Zhe stroked his beard. "Now you know it's pretty? You said you didn't before."
"Dad, can you stop undermining me?" Xu Zhang said helplessly.
Lin Wanwan immediately grabbed Xu Zhe's arm, "That won't do, it's your fault for always undermining me."
Xu Zhe chimed in, "That's right, it's your fault for always undermining others."
