Chapter 93 Work Arrangement 2

"I know you've had some opinions about what I've been doing lately. Feel free to voice your opinions later."

He glanced around at everyone, then began assigning tasks with a serious expression.

"Bai Ying, you broadcast the radio show every day this afternoon. Don't slack off just because you can broadcast it now. Keep practicing your script and your pronunciation. If I find any regression, I will replace you. Everyone will be the same."

"Tan Hai, the evening broadcast is temporarily in your hands. You also need to write the script, practice at least one script every day, and continue to practice your pronunciation."

Bai Ying and Tan Hai exchanged a glance and nodded to indicate that they understood.

"Ya Ping, Bai Ying, go to the archives and see if there are any novels by Eileen Chang or Sanmao. Pick one that you think is good to practice your pronunciation. If not, ask Station Master Qian for one."

"The others should keep working hard. As I said before, the broadcasts are for those who are capable. Whoever is capable will get on. If anyone is envious, they can come and talk to me. As long as you are capable, I can let you on anytime."

"Ya Ping, Tan Hai, should you hand over the work of organizing the files? Is it too strenuous?"

Zhuang Yaping thought for a moment, exchanged a glance with Tan Hai, and said, "Director, I think we don't need to pay for now. I can handle it."

Tan Hai nodded in agreement, "We all think it's still okay to do it for now, and we don't need to pay."

"Okay, if you find it difficult, just let me know and I'll arrange for someone else to do it. Bring over your general ledger in a bit so I can take a look."

"Does anyone else have any questions? If not, the meeting is adjourned."

Lu Lili hesitated before speaking, "Director, what about us? You didn't mention our work."

“You guys practice writing one article every day, and I see some of you can’t even teach them properly. Stop going out and yelling at me for a while, and you’ll be able to write articles. You haven’t even mastered writing articles, so what kind of work do you want me to assign you?”

Qin Lu slammed her hand on the table and stood up. "Lin Wanwan, stop trying to target me. I'm not falling for that."

"I don't know which approach you take, but I do know that you're incompetent and have a terrible temper."

Qin Lu was furious. "You still say you're not targeting us? The four of us learned broadcasting from you, and the other three can broadcast now, so why can't I?"

"Because they are all better than you, because they are all more hardworking than you, because they are more professional than you."

"What gives you the right to say that about me? What's wrong with me?"

Lin Wanwan tossed a manuscript in front of her, "Read it."

Qin Lu picked up the manuscript and began to read it aloud.

Lin Wanwan shook her head and sighed more and more as she listened, interrupting her and saying, "You think you're not bad?"

"Tan Hai, read this aloud."

Tan Hai took the manuscript and quickly read it twice. After nodding to Lin Wanwan, he began to read it halfway through the manuscript.

When he read the same passage as Qin Lu, Lin Wanwan interrupted him, "That's enough, let's leave it here."

Looking at Qin Lu, he asked, "Do you still think you're not bad?"

Qin Lu blushed and remained silent. Lin Wanwan was too lazy to pay attention to her either, as she couldn't stay for much longer and didn't want to argue with her.

He glanced at everyone and said, "If you think you can do it too, feel free to come find me anytime."

"The meeting is adjourned if there's nothing else. Feel free to raise any further opinions; we'll take them all in."

Lu Lili hesitated for a moment and said, "Director, we may not be as good as you, but have you really been teaching us properly?"

“How old are you? I asked you to write an article and submit it within one day. You thought the time was too short and not many of you submitted it. Later, you did submit some, but others submitted two or three articles while you only submitted one. Everyone else knew to work hard, but you didn’t.”

"Then why didn't you explain it to us clearly so that we could write more articles when we had time?"

Lin Wanwan glanced at the person who spoke. He was a thin, weak boy who wore glasses and didn't talk much, so Lin Wanwan still didn't know his name.

"Are you kindergarten kids? Or toy frogs that jump when poked?"

"If there's nothing else, let's adjourn the meeting. Don't keep bringing this up; I'm very busy."

After packing up his things, he went to Qian Senlin's office. "Old man, did you enjoy the show?"

"Hahahaha, you're so capable, you don't need my help at all."

"Stop laughing, I have something to tell you."

"What's wrong? Tell me about it."

"Are all those people in the office going to stay?"

"You mean resign?"

"Why keep so many people? It's better to fire them. If you feel you don't have enough manpower, you can continue to recruit and train people again."

"Isn't that too cruel?"

Lin Wanwan rolled her eyes. "Is this how you handled personnel when you worked at the newspaper?"

“I understand what you mean. I’ve already considered this. Besides the three people you choose, you can keep two others for other tasks. The files need to be organized, and the office chores also need to be done.”

"I know that not everyone is suited for broadcasting, but I think that even in other jobs, one still needs good character. In that case, you can decide on the personnel matters yourself. I'm leaving after the New Year anyway."

"Trying to dump the mess on me?"

"This was originally your business; I'm just here to help you out."

Lin Wanwan stood up and said, "I'm leaving, I'm off work."

Xu Zhang is inviting the Bai siblings to her place for dinner tonight, and Lin Wanwan and Lu Feng will naturally be going.

When Lin Wanwan returned to Xu Zhang's house, Xu Zhang was already busy in the kitchen.

"Mom, I'm back. I'm here to help."

"You rest, I can manage on my own."

“It’s okay, Mom,” Lin Wanwan thought for a moment, “I’ll go call Tuanzi. I really miss him.”
