Chapter 23: Home Arrangement

Song Jin was not affected at all. She had just arrived and was not planning to make any big noise.

I'm just laying the groundwork now so that you don't have to hide the delicious food in the future.

For the rest of the time, Song Jin didn't go out again and started to clean up her new home.

I opened a few packages and put things in place. There were just two stove holes in the kitchen, and I placed two iron pots, one large and one small.

The coal stove was taken out and placed in the kitchen, with a casserole pot on it, in case I needed to make soup or something. I also took some coal out of the space and placed it in the corner of the kitchen.

The bowls, chopsticks and spoons were put back in place one by one, and a few small earthenware jars were taken out from the space. Salt, pepper powder, chicken essence, MSG and sugar were all sorted and put into them and arranged.

I found a few empty bottles without any labels, and washed and removed all the labels. I took out the oil, vinegar, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cooking wine, light soy sauce, and dark soy sauce and arranged them all.

I looked around and saw that the kitchen was still missing a cabinet. I need to put things in there. I'll talk about it later.

After the kitchen was ready, the room on the right was transformed into a living room, so guests could come in. They also ate here. There was a mat on the kang, which Chen Liang had wiped clean. Song Jin found two large mattresses and spread them on them, then took out a sheet and spread it on top. If it wasn't enough, they would just join two mattresses together.

After laying the kang, I placed a kang table in the middle of the kang according to the layout here. It was perfect.

The large table I bought earlier was placed in the middle of the room, with four chairs arranged. I took out the cups from the space, two enamel pots, two thermoses, and a large plate with several small glasses on top. Well, I'm a sophisticated girl again today.

He took out the radio he had collected from his home in Beijing and placed it on the original table in the room, right in the middle of the wall.

You can’t take out the sewing machine or something like that yet, after all, it can’t fit in the package.

While arranging the room, Song Jin wrote down in a small notebook what was missing. He looked at the main room which was still half empty and realized what was missing: a sofa, a coffee table, a TV cabinet and a TV.

well……

Then I took out the curtains I had stockpiled before, and soon, curtains were hung in both rooms. Fortunately, I had specifically chosen solid colors.

In her bedroom, Song Jin tried her best to hang two layers of curtains, sewing them together so that they could not be seen. She was afraid that if someone came in and saw the two layers of cloth, they would be jealous to death.

In those days, you needed cloth coupons to buy cloth. People in the city would also issue coupons, but they were not many and you had to save them all the time. You would only go out to buy cloth when you had enough to make clothes.

It was even harder to get cloth coupons in rural areas, so all you saw were villagers wearing patches upon patches. Whether they had money or not was one thing, but the main thing was that they didn't have cloth.

Fortunately, these two windows are small and not much cloth is used. Although the villagers may be shocked when they see it, it is not too unacceptable.

Miss Song’s character must be maintained, and she must find a way to find some backers for herself later.

In the bedroom, there was a kang cabinet on one side of the kang and a newly made wooden box on the other side. There was a large wardrobe on the floor against the wall. I simply packed a few skirts and hung them in the wardrobe. The wooden boxes were placed against the edge of the kang on the floor. One of them contained some small things, such as snacks and biscuits, and the other contained some cloth.

There are desks and chairs on the floor.

The utility room was turned into a bathroom, and the newly made bathtub was put in it. It will be used tonight.

A small stool was dug out from the space and placed inside. I heard that you have to sit on it when washing, otherwise you will easily drown.

I found another clothes hanger and used it to store clothes.

I changed the packaging of shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, etc. and put them all in the bathroom.

I also put all the wooden basins I bought into it, and I will use them to wash clothes in the future.

Very good, everything has been arranged.

The dirt in the yard is a bit unbearable. I guess I have to go to the river to pick up some stones to decorate it one day.

In the afternoon, Song Jin cleaned up the vegetable garden, pulled out all the weeds and threw them away, then sneaked out of the space pool to flood the field.

I also planned an area in the yard and planned to plant a tree. Since it was Taolin Brigade, I decided to plant apricot trees because she loved eating them.

We need a small table under the tree, and with that we need a small stool and a rocking chair. Remember this.

By the time everything was put in place, it was already dinner time, and Song Jin started firing for the first time since he arrived at the Taolin Battalion.
