Chapter 44: Work is settled

The next morning, Song Jin woke up early, packed up, and ate breakfast in her space. A bowl of beef noodles with a meat and egg, she then headed for the machinery factory. She had stored her bicycle in the shed at the entrance to the guesthouse, a short distance away, and she walked there.

It was not even eight o'clock when we arrived at the entrance of the machinery factory, but there were already at least a dozen people queuing at the door.

It seems that quite a few people know about the recruitment information. The security guard maintains order at the gate and checks everyone's letter of introduction.

When it was Song Jin's turn, he pretended not to know him. He checked the letter of introduction and verified the name in a businesslike manner before letting him in.

The exam is held in the auditorium of the machinery factory. It starts at 9:00 sharp and the written test lasts for one hour. After the exam, there will be people marking the papers on site, and everyone needs to wait outside the auditorium for half an hour.

At half past ten, a special person will come to call the roll. Those whose names are called will continue to take the recruitment exam. Those whose names are not called will fail the written exam and can go home.

Soon it was time for the written test. There was a large stage in the auditorium, and four or five rows of tables, chairs and benches were placed below, with each person sitting far apart.

Song Jin took the test paper and looked at the questions first. Sure enough, they were different from what she expected.

Question 1: Capitalize ten numbers

Song Jin: ...

Question 2: Please write out the 26 capital letters of the English alphabet

Song Jin...who does he look down on?

Question 3: Supplementary idioms

Straightforward, responsible, and continuous

Not a penny, unique, and limited benefit

Integration, achievements, and rapid development

It's out of reach

Song Jin swore that this was the easiest test she had ever taken.

She finished answering all the test questions in ten minutes and spent the rest of the time pretending to think about the answers.

I don't know if other people were like her, but no one left early. They all waited until the time was up and the staff collected the test papers before everyone left to wait for the results.

Song Jin took advantage of this half hour to walk around the factory and got a rough understanding of the factory's layout.

As expected of the largest factory in the county, the cafeteria alone took up a quarter of the space, and there was even a dedicated lounge. However, judging by the sign at the door, it seemed that only supervisors had separate lounges.

It was exactly half an hour after I came back from my stroll, and just as I was standing there, someone came out.

Grab a piece of paper and start reading the list:

"Song Jin 100 points, Zhang Jun 100 points, Lin Zixiang 95 points, Cao Meimei 90 points. The four people whose names I called can stay. The others can leave."

Song Jin was stunned. He didn't know how the three questions were scored, nor how the other two people's scores of 90 and 95 were calculated. He also didn't know why the other dozen people couldn't even get 90 points on such a simple question.

Before she could figure it out, the man urged the four of them to follow him in.

Back in the auditorium, the tables, chairs and benches had been put away, leaving only a row of tables and chairs, on which sat five leaders of the machinery factory.

The four of them were taken directly onto the big stage and stood side by side.

Song Jin remembered that interviews on TV seemed to be like this.

Sure enough, as soon as they stood still, the people below started talking.

"Congratulations to the four of you for passing the first round of the written exam. Being able to stand here shows that you are all very capable and highly educated people. I hope you can continue to excel in the upcoming exams."

Song Brocade...

The man continued, "My first request is that you please introduce yourselves for one minute. You can decide the order."

As soon as the man finished speaking, Cao Meimei stepped forward first.

"I look like the youngest, so I'll go first. Hello, uncles and aunts. My name is Cao Meimei, I'm 19 years old, and I just graduated from high school this year. My father is Cao Zhu, the head of the security department..."

Before Ren came out, someone coughed. Cao Meimei paused and continued:

"I have a deep affection for our machinery factory. I grew up in the factory and have always wanted to work here and do things for it. I believe I can do it. Even if I encounter problems, the uncles and aunts will help me solve them. I am full of confidence..."

Song Jin was too tired to complain. Has using backdoors become so rampant in this day and age?

The person who was not said just now must be the director. I'm afraid this position has already been decided.

Next, Song Jin did not take the initiative to speak. She waited until the two male comrades had introduced themselves before speaking.

"Hello everyone, my name is Song Jin. I'll be 18 soon and graduated from high school last year. I'm fluent in English and can translate professional books. I'm steady and down-to-earth, conscientious and responsible, and have strong execution. I hope the leaders will consider giving me an opportunity. Thank you."

After listening to Song Jin's introduction, Cao Meimei and the other two felt that they had not performed well. People of this era are reserved. Even if they feel that they are very capable, they will not say it out loud. This is the first time they have seen someone promote himself as directly as Song Jin.

But it must be said that the effect was very good. Four of the five people in the audience showed a clear interest in Song Jin.

The following questions were also directed to Song Jin, and she answered them one by one.

Finally, they were notified to come in three days to complete the start-up procedures. Besides her, Cao Meimei was also there.

The reason for admission was that female office clerks were more careful, so female comrades were chosen.

Song Jin breathed a sigh of relief, finally able to say goodbye to farm work.
