Chapter 20 The Money is Gone
Fu Yuling rushed to the hospital in the car he had robbed.
There are more people during the day, so to prevent her car from being stolen, she locked it to an iron bar.
After all, it’s not your thing, so you have to pay for it if you lose it.
What she didn't know was that she was seen riding her bike out early in the morning by a woman, who then spread the news here and there, quickly sparking discussion among all the villagers.
The central figure of the topic has always been Fu Yuling.
When Fu Yuling went up, she almost bumped into someone when turning a corner. Fortunately, she reacted in time and pushed him away so that she did not come into contact with him.
It was a person wearing a brown long gown. There were many dirt stains on his face, but Fu Yuling still realized at the first moment that this person was a girl.
Because this person's wrists are relatively thin, and some parts of his neck are so white that they are dazzling.
After passing by each other, Fu Yuling didn't take it to heart and walked straight to Fu's father's ward.
The patient next to Mr. Fu was surrounded by relatives, who were concerned about him.
Compared to this side, Fu's father was relatively quiet. Fu Qi was sleeping uncomfortably on the side, but he didn't wake up.
Mrs. Fu is not here. She must have gone out to buy breakfast.
Fu's mother doesn't care much about money. As long as the money is spent properly, she won't care too much.
Father Fu saw her the first time, and his eyes were dark and blue, probably because he hadn't slept all night.
Seeing that Father Fu seemed to have something to discuss with him, Fu Yuling put down his things and went over.
"Dad, what's wrong?"
"Lingling! There's a jar in the drawer of your room at home. The money is in it. Take it first. If it's not enough, dad will give you more later."
While he was speaking, Mr. Fu looked as if he had aged a few years and was weak and powerless.
She naturally understood what Mr. Fu meant. He simply knew that he had paid for her medical expenses and was worried that she wouldn't be able to make ends meet.
The jar that Mr. Fu mentioned must contain all the family's belongings, and she definitely wouldn't want it.
"Dad, what are you talking about? I have my own money, so don't worry about it."
Mr. Fu looked unconvinced. Fu Yuling touched her pocket and her face looked unhappy. The more than one dollar she had put in her pocket was gone.
Her memory suddenly turned to the woman disguised as a man, and she chuckled softly, her money was not so easy to take.
She had no choice but to take out a few hundred dollars from her space and secretly show it to Father Fu.
"Dad, I have my own money, don't worry about me. Let's get well first."
When Mr. Fu saw the red pictures, he was so scared that he quickly covered them with his hands and looked around.
"Don't let anyone see us," Father Fu hesitated, "where did you get this money...?"
She had already thought of her excuse when she received the two thousand yuan.
"Dad, some of it is what I earned recently, and some of it is what Jingsi sent over the past few years and saved."
"You! Don't worry, I made some soup for you. I promise you'll get better soon."
After saying that, Fu Yuling went to get a bowl to serve soup to Fu's father.
When he turned around, the bowl in his hand was snatched away by someone. It was Fu Qi.
He must have just woken up, his eyes were still a little hazy, and the dark circles under his eyes were similar to those of Fu's father.
"I'll take it. Have you eaten it?"
Fu Yuling was surprised by Fu Qi's concern for her and answered truthfully.
"Eat it. I brought it especially for you. There are some sesame cakes in the basket, take them too."
When Fu's mother came back, she was holding some buns in her hands. Seeing that they were already eating, she was confused until she saw Fu Yuling.
"Why are you here so early? Your brother and I are here, so you don't have to come here so early in the morning."
