Chapter 235 It’s still my fault
Fu Qi thought that she still cared about what Fu Yuling said.
"sister······"
He shouted.
Fu Yuling put away her things and looked at him with a kind of longing. The next second, her eyes became emotionless again.
"You still blame me."
His shoulders slumped, and he felt exhausted.
He muttered to himself and turned to leave. Fu Yuling did not stop him.
"It's still my fault..."
He walked away and returned to his room.
If Fu Yuling came into this room, he would find that there were many things that did not belong to boys. Many of them belonged to the original owners and were placed there, which were out of tune with the furnishings of the room.
Returning to the familiar place, he could no longer be strong. He began to quietly lick his wounds like a little animal, swallowing all the grievances alone.
Before, he didn't cry when Fu's father went to the hospital, and he didn't cry when Fu Yuling lay on the ground and he carried her to the hospital. But now, he blamed himself for not calling her "sister" for several years and felt guilty, and broke down in tears.
He blamed himself for what happened back then. He blamed himself for having such a shameful sister. He blamed her for being lazy and good-for-nothing except following He Jingsi around. He blamed her for using the family money just to buy nice clothes and show off outside.
But he was always there, every time he took money, he would put it in a place where it would be easy for her to find it. Every time she went out, he would worry about her and follow her silently.
During that dark time, he was constantly resentful and yet constantly wanted to love and protect her. He was conflicted.
Humans are complex creatures. No one is flawless, standing on high like a god, speaking the truth like a judge. Contradictions like these are more real, more like living people.
There was a rustling sound outside. The wind could not blow into the young man's heart, but it could still stir up huge waves.
The whimpering in the darkness is never known to the light. People are always used to hiding their scars one by one, leaving no trace.
That night, many people stayed awake all night.
When I woke up in the morning, the Fu family's house was so quiet that I could hear a pin drop.
The four kids don’t like being in a commotion, so even when they get up, they just do their own things as they do at home, quietly and without disturbing each other.
However, as long as there was any trace of Fu Yuling, they would be able to find out quickly, and four pairs of eyes would look over at the same time.
They were worried about Fu Yuling and wanted to know that this person was always there for them. Only then could they feel at ease.
Fu Yuling tidied the quilt on the bed, folded the extra ones and put them in the cabinet before walking out.
Normally, Fu Qi would be outside fetching water, but today he was nowhere to be seen. Mother and Father Fu were supposed to be in the kitchen, too, and Mother Fu had even knocked on the door.
But, there is none.
Fu Yuling didn't know what to do with them.
She didn't know when Mother Fu knew she wasn't the original owner's. If she hadn't picked up the clothes yesterday and saw someone pick up the one that suited her without hesitation, she really wouldn't have suspected it.
Fu Qi, in fact, did nothing wrong. When the original owner was forced to follow the plot, he was the one who dealt with all the consequences. No one knows how much he paid for this. However, for the original owner who was suppressed by the plot and finally woke up, he still felt sorry for her.
No one can say whether these things are right or wrong, and no one has the right to blame anyone.
