Her lips trembled, and her voice, as she spoke again, carried an undisguised excitement: "I heard long ago that the giant roc raised by the Seventh Princess saved the people of the North Sea. Siqi's life must have been saved by this bird you raised."
"Madam Xia, what are you doing? Please get up." Consort Shu held Madam Xia's arms with both hands: "There is no divine bird. These are just coincidences."
“No,” Madam Xia said firmly, “this is not a coincidence.”
Late last night, everyone was asleep, but she couldn't sleep.
When that bird flew in.
She was resting with her eyes closed.
She saw the bird fly to the bedside.
She was still thinking at the time.
Why would a bird suddenly fly in out of nowhere?
I was just about to get up and shoo the bird away.
Then I saw that the bird seemed to be carrying something in its beak.
Under the moonlight.
There was a sliver of light, which seemed to be still wriggling.
The bird moved its head a few times towards Xia Siqi's lips, and then the glimmer of light disappeared.
It seemed to be saying something, or perhaps chanting some kind of spell.
Xia Siqi suddenly opened her eyes, gripped the bed sheet tightly with both hands, and struggled painfully for a moment.
It was only for a short while.
She fell into a deep sleep again.
She was terrified.
They thought the bird had fed Xia Siqi something dirty.
She hurriedly summoned the imperial physician.
She didn't even have a chance to mention the bird.
The imperial physician, whose fingers were on Xia Siqi's pulse, suddenly brightened up and stood up from the ground.
He gently pried open Xia Siqi's eyelids.
He exclaimed several times, "A miracle! It really is a miracle!"
Xia Siqi miraculously returned from the brink of death.
She was both happy and excited at the time.
The imperial physician hurriedly changed the prescription and prepared the medicine again.
Seeing that her daughter was getting better.
She was completely relieved.
When she calmly recalled what had happened that night...
She felt that Xia Siqi had miraculously survived.
It must be related to that bird.
"My husband and I will always remember the life-saving grace of Consort Shu. If there is ever a need for us in the future, we will go through fire and water without hesitation." Madam Xia's eyes were red.
"Madam Xia, you are too kind. It is a great blessing that Siqi is alright. We can discuss the rest later." Consort Shu breathed a sigh of relief.
"His Majesty has arrived."
"Long live the Emperor!"
Upon hearing the sound, Madam Xia hurriedly stood up from the ground.
Emperor Yuanwu carried Mu Qianqian into the side hall.
"Greetings to His Majesty, may His Majesty be blessed."
"How is Siqi?" Emperor Yuanwu glanced into the hall.
"Your Majesty," Madam Xia knelt on the ground, "Thank you for your meticulous care, Consort Shu. My daughter is now much better."
"That's good." Emperor Yuanwu nodded and turned to walk into the courtyard: "The Imperial Medical Academy must take good care of him."
All the imperial physicians: "Yes!"
"Respectfully seeing off Your Majesty." Lady Xia knelt and bowed in the direction where Emperor Yuanwu had left, saying, "Respectfully seeing off Consort Shu."
Consort Shu followed behind Emperor Yuanwu. After hesitating for a moment, she said, "Your Majesty, I have a request."
"My beloved consort, please speak freely," Emperor Yuanwu said solemnly.
"Your Majesty, although Miss Xia has survived the danger and is out of danger, the fact that such a thing happened at Qianqian's 100-day celebration makes me very uneasy, and I am worried that it will ruin the Seventh Princess's fortune."
After speaking, Consort Shu knelt on the ground: "I beg Your Majesty's permission that I take the Seventh Princess to Huguo Temple to burn incense and pray for blessings..."
