Xie Leying was reluctantly led to the nurses' station by Chen Jing. From the moment the camera was turned on and pointed at her, she put on a smile.
"Hello everyone, my name is Xie Leying, and I am a doctor in the Department of Cardiac Surgery at the Central Hospital of Beijing. I just returned from abroad a few days ago, so I am not very familiar with this place yet."
However, my medical skills are definitely not a problem, so please don't worry. I will work with Jiayi and Dr. Yu these next few days to familiarize myself with the hospital as quickly as possible. Thank you all!
Chen Jing scratched his cheek, looking somewhat exasperated. Xie Leying's words weren't inherently wrong, but he felt that broadcasting them like this would make the Capital Central Hospital appear unprofessional...
"Um, Dr. Xie, how about we record another take?"
I think if you say you're not very familiar with hospitals, it might make the audience think that Beijing Central Hospital isn't very professional. So, could we replace this part with something else?
"Change it to what?" Xie Leying asked indifferently.
"A simple self-introduction is fine, just don't say anything like you're not familiar with the hospital environment," Chen Jing replied earnestly.
Xie Leying nodded, put on a smile, and began her self-introduction again, speaking in her sweet, delicate voice.
"Hello everyone, I am Xie Leying, a new cardiac surgeon at the Capital Central Hospital."
I am honored to be an attending physician at this hospital, and even more honored to be able to receive the great star Jia Yi as soon as I entered the hospital.
Over the next three days, I will do my best to teach Jiayi some basic first aid knowledge. In the process, I will also consult with senior staff at the hospital for some professional knowledge.
I look forward to growing through this process. Go for it!
Chen Jing clapped his hands. The difference between Xie Leying's two statements was huge. If she was bad in the first part, she was good in the second.
"Okay, now that the self-introductions are recorded, let's get ready to start filming."
Chen Jing said to Ming Jiayi and the other two,
"Dr. Yu, could you please show us around those four departments? Thank you."
Yu waved his hand dismissively and said, "It's no big deal. Let's go visit the cardiac surgery department first."
Two teaching assistants walked in front, with Ming Jiayi beside them, while Chen Jing carried the camera and followed along.
The layout of any department in a hospital is generally not that different; it's basically just offices, wards, and some equipment—there's nothing particularly interesting about it.
They just went through the motions and recorded footage of themselves in those departments.
However, most of those shots were of Yu Jianyan introducing the origins of each department, what types of diseases they mainly treat, and so on, without anything particularly special.
Because the hospital director had explicitly forbidden anyone from joining in the fun, and everyone was extremely busy, no medical staff had time to pay attention to the people filming.
As for the patients, some of them wanted to go up and ask Ming Jiayi for an autograph and a photo, but they were all stopped by GF's bodyguards.
Based on all of the above, the four of them made exceptionally fast progress. The tour of the department was originally expected to take 3 hours, but they finished filming in 1.5 hours.
Chen Jing watched the footage from the camera for a while and felt it was almost ready, so he said to the three of them,
"We filmed a bit too fast, beyond my expectations. It's not time yet for the meeting with the experts. Why don't you take a break for a while?"
"Okay," Yu Jianyan replied cheerfully.
Xie Leying bent down and gently massaged her ankle, saying sleepily,
"Normally, when I'm busy, I don't feel that tired even if I walk around the hospital a lot. But now, walking around and stopping to film videos, it's a really different experience."
"Yes." Yu Jianyan glanced at Xie Leying, who was wearing high heels, and asked, "Are your feet uncomfortable from walking in high heels for too long?"
Xie Leying nodded and replied softly, "Yeah. Because I have to change into special shoes when I have surgery, and I'm mostly sitting, so I'm used to wearing high heels to work."
"Do you have spare shoes in your office? You can go change now," Chen Jing said.
Xie Leying gently stroked her ankle a few times, then lowered her head and said meekly,
"Yes, I do, but I'm a little tired right now... and my shoes are rubbing my feet, it's hurting a bit when I walk... so I'll come back later, I need to rest first..."
Seeing Xie Leying's appearance, Yu felt a pang of pity and volunteered to help.
"It's okay, you rest here, I'll go get it for you."
Xie Leying gently took Yu Jianyan's hand, smiled at him, and said in a soft voice,
"You're so kind~ But no need, you've been introducing things the whole time, you must be tired."
Yu Jianyan scratched his head somewhat embarrassedly, his face unconsciously turning a little red. "It's okay, I'm fine. I'm used to it."
"No, please..." Xie Leying said in a coquettish voice.
Suddenly, Xie Leying shifted her gaze to Mo Xing, and then she said with an expectant look,
"Excuse me, assistant, could you please get my shoes for me?"
Mo Xing, who was lazily leaning against the wall, thought: "???" She had been following behind them the whole time... They were worried that Dr. Yu would get tired, so they asked her to get it? What kind of logic is that?
Just as Mo Xing reluctantly got up to help, Ming Jiayi quietly pulled her back.
Ming Jiayi, looking slightly tired, rubbed her forehead, seemingly having completely ignored Xie Leying's words, and weakly gave instructions to Mo Xing.
"I was in such a rush this morning that I didn't have time for breakfast. I feel like I have low blood sugar. Mo Xing, could you go and buy me some breakfast? And also bring me a few bottles of water."
Mo Xing's eyes showed worry. She helped Ming Jiayi to sit on a bench and then said somewhat anxiously,
"How could you suddenly have low blood sugar... You sit here, I'll go buy it for you right away."
"Well, you didn't eat this morning either. You can eat first and then come back," Ming Jiayi hinted cryptically.
Mo Xing shook her head and replied seriously, "I'm not hungry, I'll buy it for you first."
Xie Leying glanced sideways at Ming Jiayi, feeling slightly disdainful of Ming Jiayi's clumsy acting skills.
"Jiayi, I really envy you. Your assistant is so good to you." Xie Leying said with a smile as she looked at Mo Xing's back. "She didn't even care whether you really had low blood sugar or not. As soon as she heard you say that, she went to buy you breakfast."
