Chapter Five: Personnel Change

The man casually picked up a nearby tripod and chased after it, gritting his teeth, much like a primitive animal that hadn't evolved, his mind completely dominated by emotions.

Gu Shaojin, who had just reached the elevator, heard the loud cries for help and couldn't help but look downstairs again.

Ming Jiayi had already hidden behind the director, her face filled with fear.

Adding to that, the bleeding wound on her forehead made it seem as if she had just been severely beaten.

"Director, help! He's going to kill someone!"

Her hand trembled as she pointed at the person holding the tripod, her voice filled with utter fear, her face contorted with extreme terror.

"What's wrong with you? Are you trying to kill someone?" The director's face was rather ugly, and his tone was cold and fierce.

The man's eyes widened, his face flushed red, and he stared at Ming Jiayi, who was hiding behind the director and peeking out with half her head peeking out. His breathing became heavy.

Ming Jiayi raised an eyebrow, a hint of mockery flashing in her eyes.

Why don't you come and hit me? Don't control your anger!

Hurry! Charge over here! Grab your tripod and beat me up!

She looked at the person in front of her who remained motionless, but whose eyes seemed to want to kill her a hundred times over, and helplessly rubbed her forehead.

Oh, right!

Forehead!

Ming Jiayi held her forehead, her voice gradually slowing and weakening, but the accusation in her words was extremely obvious, "My head hurts so much, and he even tried to hit me... Could it be that he's the one who broke the wires..."

These words immediately caused an uproar in the room, with sighs and gasps filling the air.

The director seemed to suddenly realize something, and looked at the person with a questioning expression.

"Stop falsely accusing me!" the man shouted angrily, and threw the tripod he was holding at Ming Jiayi's head.

A fleeting smile crossed Ming Jiayi's face, but it vanished almost instantly.

"Director, watch out!" Ming Jiayi pulled the director aside with lightning speed, her tone surprised and somewhat affected. "You hit me, fine, but you're going to hurt the director too?"

"Are you crazy?" The director looked at the tripod that had been smashed on the ground, his face pale, still somewhat shaken.

This is exactly the effect I wanted.

It's absolutely gorgeous.

In the blink of an eye, Ming Jiayi clutched her forehead and slowly collapsed to the ground, "My head is so dizzy..."

Second floor

Gu Shaojin stood there motionless, like a statue, but he had already taken in everything that had just happened, including Ming Jiayi's slight smile.

Gu Shaojin raised an eyebrow slightly, and her originally calm eyes now showed some ripples.

If he hadn't just seen Ming Jiayi's smile, he might actually feel a little sorry for her.

No wonder he's an actor.

It would be a disservice not to give her an award for her acting skills.

“Chi Ye.” Gu Shaojin dialed the number, her tone as cold as ever, “I remember the company is looking for a spokesperson recently.”

"Yes, Mr. Gu."

"Ming Jiayi is good."

"But Mr. Gu, the publicity department has already found a suitable spokesperson, it seems to be Xiang Wanqiu."

Gu Shaojin shifted his gaze from Ming Jiayi to the elevator buttons, then spoke into his phone in a deep, magnetic voice, leaving no room for argument, "Change."

"Okay, Mr. Gu, I'll call the publicity department right away."
