Chapter Seventy-Three: What's with the Pretense?

"Aren't you afraid she'll steal your things?" Feng Yunyun said dismissively.

Ming Jiayi raised her head and looked at Feng Yunyun with a puzzled expression, only then realizing that her expression was very strange. "No way."

"Whatever, don't worry about it." After saying that, Feng Yunyun suppressed her dissatisfaction and continued to talk to Ming Jiayi about work.

"The planning team wants you to go see Jian Qing, then shoot a video and post it online to gain popularity and establish her as a talented emergency rescuer. So go see Jian Qing tonight."

Ming Jiayi paused for a moment, then looked at Feng Yunyun seriously and said, "I don't want this persona."

"Why?"

“I didn’t save people for marketing purposes…” Ming Jiayi said firmly.

"Come on, you were thinking about how to market yourself before, but now that the opportunity is right in front of you, what are you pretending for?" Feng Yunyun said bluntly.

Ming Jiayi's expression was somewhat serious.

She wanted to market herself, but it was just to complete a task and create a persona. She never intended to use healing and saving lives as a way to promote herself and expand her reputation.

She didn't study medicine to get ahead; she genuinely wanted to do everything in her power to help everyone.

"Say what you will. I will do the work on this schedule, and I can look at Jianqing's notes, but I don't want to use this to market myself."

The light in Ming Jiayi's eyes dimmed slightly, replaced by an unfathomable depth and darkness. "By the way, can you help me get a role in a TV series? I want to join the cast."

"Most of the roles you're getting these days are web dramas. You won't make much money if you take them, and filming them is exhausting. Take it easy before taking any more roles," Feng Yunyun said, her tone softening slightly.

"It doesn't matter how much money it costs, a web series it is. Do you have any scripts? I'll pick one myself."

Filming a TV series takes at least two or three months. If we slow down any further, the system will deduct time from the filming schedule, which is unacceptable.

"I'll take you to the interview tomorrow."

"good."

"Then I'll be going now."

Feng Yunyun sent a copy of the file to Ming Jiayi, then shut down her computer and walked outside without saying another word to Ming Jiayi.

Ming Jiayi stroked her piggy bank with both hands, watching Feng Yunyun's retreating figure, and suddenly had a bad feeling...

The pig in her arms, which looks exactly like a pet pig, is the reward for the first level of the mission: the ever-changing little spirit pet.

At noon, while Ming Jiayi was typing on her computer trying to find out about the current situation of the Ming family, she suddenly remembered the story of the ever-changing little spirit pet.

But she was in the hospital and couldn't go home.

Just then, Su Yu called her to thank her for posting the photos on her Weibo account the night before, and even tagged Su Yu in the caption, saying that she really liked the clothes designed by Su Yu and encouraged Su Yu to keep up the good work.

Because she trended on several hot searches yesterday, her followers increased by more than a million in a single day. So, after she posted that update, it greatly helped Su Yu increase her popularity.

Su Yu is a bit awkward and not very good at saying thank you, so Ming Jiayi asked Su Yu to do her a small favor: to go to her house to find the little pet and bring it to the hospital.

Ming Jiayi didn't know it was a piglet at first; she only found out after Su Yu showed it to her.

But what does this little pig have to do with the ever-changing little spirit pet...?

Can it eat, sleep, and make people laugh?
