The carriage moved slowly and finally stopped at the most bustling commercial center in Nanyi.
Luo Lingyue lifted the car curtain out of curiosity and saw that both sides of the street were filled with various stalls selling snacks, accessories, clothes, etc.
She could also hear bursts of noise coming from the distance, some people were bargaining, others were shouting, it was very lively.
Suddenly, her eyes rolled, and the corners of her mouth rose slightly, revealing a sly smile.
She turned to the coachman and said, "Stop the car! I want to go down for a walk!"
The coachman stopped the carriage immediately, and Luo Lingyue couldn't wait to get off and walk towards the street.
Xiao Jinghan frowned, but still followed closely with his guards.
Luo Lingyue walked straight into the best gold shop on the street. The shop was decorated magnificently and displayed all kinds of gold, silver and jewelry.
She started to choose excitedly, picking up a piece of jewelry from time to time and looking at it in front of the mirror.
Xiao Jinghan and the guards stood by and looked at her, with helpless expressions on their faces.
Luo Lingyue walked into the gold shop with a proud look on her face. She casually threw out a gold ingot and said to the shop owner, "Take out all your best jewelry!"
The shopkeeper's eyes lit up immediately when he saw the gold, and a smile spread across his face. He nodded and bowed hurriedly, saying, "Yes, yes, yes. Wait a moment, young lady. I'll send someone to get it right away." After that, he turned to his clerk and shouted, "Quick, bring me all the most valuable gold, silver, and jade ornaments!"
After hearing this, the guys immediately took action. After a while, several large boxes of exquisite jewelry were placed in front of Luo Lingyue.
Luo Lingyue looked at the dazzling array of jewelry before her, nodded with satisfaction, and then began to carefully select. She looked at each piece, sometimes picking up a hairpin to test her hair, sometimes trying on earrings in front of the mirror, and she couldn't let go of each piece.
"Miss, you have really good taste. These are the treasures of our store!" the shopkeeper said flatteringly.
Luo Lingyue chuckled and said to the shopkeeper, "Well, not bad, but it's not enough. Is there anything better?"
When the shopkeeper heard this, he immediately smiled and said, "Yes, yes, yes. Please wait a moment, miss. I will send someone to get it right away." After saying that, he gave a few more instructions to the waiters, and they hurried out.
After a while, the waiters came back with several exquisite boxes. The shopkeeper carefully opened one of the boxes and found a hairpin inlaid with a ruby. The ruby was shining brightly and dazzlingly.
"Miss, this hairpin is inlaid with the finest rubies. It is absolutely a one-of-a-kind treasure!" the shopkeeper introduced proudly.
Luo Lingyue picked up the hairpin, examined it carefully, then shook her head slightly and said, "Well... this one is still a little lacking."
The shopkeeper was a little embarrassed, but continued: "Then take a look at the others, I guarantee you will be satisfied."
Luo Lingyue opened another box, and inside was a pair of emerald green earrings, crystal clear and beautiful.
"This pair of earrings is quite nice, but..." Luo Lingyue still seemed dissatisfied.
The shopkeeper asked nervously, "What do you think is wrong, young lady?"
Luo Lingyue frowned and said, "The color is too light. It would be better if it were a little greener."
Xiao Jinghan crossed his arms across his chest, watching the scene in front of him expressionlessly, but from time to time he would cast his gaze towards Luo Lingyue, his eyes revealing an affection that was difficult to conceal.
"Wow, this jade bracelet is so beautiful! It's practically tailor-made for me!" Luo Lingyue screamed excitedly, pointing to a crystal-clear, flawless jade bracelet. She couldn't let it go, picked it up, put it on her hand, and examined it carefully against the light.
"And this golden phoenix hairpin is so beautiful! It's inlaid with dazzling gems and pearls, and the shape of the phoenix is so lifelike, as if it's about to spread its wings and fly high!"
Xiao Jinghan's lips curled up slightly, and a smile flashed in his eyes. Seeing Luo Lingyue so happy, his mood also became cheerful.
"Pack these up," Xiao Jinghan said softly to the shopkeeper, his voice low and magnetic. Although his tone was calm, the majesty contained in it was impossible to ignore.
The shopkeeper nodded and bowed, indicating that he would obey, and immediately ordered his staff to pack the items Luo Lingyue had selected. He secretly breathed a sigh of relief, thankful for his good luck today, and actually met such a generous and big customer.
The guards behind Xiao Jinghan carefully loaded boxes of exquisite jewelry onto the carriage. Each box shone with a brilliant light, as if carrying endless luxury and beauty. These jewelry were made of precious materials, inlaid with gorgeous gems and pearls, and exuded an intoxicating brilliance.
The shopkeeper's eyes sparkled with delight as he watched the scene unfold. He smiled and asked, "Sir, how do you intend to pay this?" There was a hint of anticipation in his voice, as if hoping the nobleman would give him a satisfactory answer.
Xiao Jinghan glanced coldly at the servant standing beside him, and then replied calmly: "Record it to Marshal Xiao!"
These words were like a gentle breeze, yet they shocked the shopkeeper. He immediately understood that this noble man's identity was not simple, and he could actually have such a close connection with Marshal Xiao.
The servant pursed his lips and silently followed the shopkeeper to the counter, ready to record the account. Although he felt a little helpless, he understood that his duty as a servant was to obey his master's arrangements.
At this moment, the whole scene seemed exceptionally peaceful and solemn. A faint fragrance filled the jewelry store, making people feel relaxed and happy. Xiao Jinghan stood quietly to the side, watching everything with indifference, as if the surrounding bustle had nothing to do with him.
