Chapter 60: Even Darker Than a Black Shop

Dark Moon Fairy's eyes were calm. She reached out and stopped Shang Zhi from moving, saying softly, "Wait a minute! Let's observe the situation first. If they're just robbing money, we won't cause any trouble. But if they're killing people and stealing goods, it won't be too late for us to take action!"

Shang Zhi nodded nervously: "Okay, then I'll go out and see what's going on!"

A sly glint flashed in Dark Moon Fairy's eyes, as if she had already made a plan. She warned Shang Zhi, "Remember, don't alert the enemy!"

Shang Zhi tiptoed to Shang Lu and Mu San's room, only to find them slumped over, sound asleep. She quietly approached and carefully examined them, only to find they were merely unconscious and unharmed. She breathed a sigh of relief.

She gently draped the quilt over the two of them, fearing that they would catch a cold, and then turned and went to Er Du and the Black Hawks' room.

As soon as he entered the room, he heard snoring coming from inside. Shang Zhi finally felt relieved!

She quietly entered the back room of the shop and saw the shopkeeper and several employees gathered together, discussing something nervously. She listened quietly in the corner of the window for a while, then returned to Dark Moon Fairy's room, deep in thought.

Shang Zhi replied, "Master of the Dark Moon Pavilion! These people aren't the original shop owners. They're here to rob people. They didn't expect them to be from the underworld. I heard from the shopkeeper that transporting these people would be a bit troublesome! I wonder where they'll be taken!"

Dark Moon Enchantress touched her nose lightly, a look of helplessness in her eyes: "If we didn't have something important to do, we could play with them! Well, I'll take you to have some fun tonight!" There was a hint of teasing in her voice, and she seemed to be full of anticipation for the upcoming adventure.

Shang Zhi followed Luo Lingyue to the rooftop and waited quietly. Half an incense stick of time passed, and the shopkeeper and several servants walked into a guest room holding iron locks and chains.

After a while, the shopkeeper came out with the looted money. He proudly directed his men to put the unconscious man into the prison van.

Shang Zhi exclaimed in surprise: "This is the imperial prison car. These robbers are actually colluding with the government!" Her voice was full of anger and shock, and her originally clear eyes became sharp at this moment.

Dark Moon Fairy twirled her fingers and said thoughtfully, "That drug is so powerful, colorless and odorless, it must have come from the Imperial Hospital. Ordinary people in the world can't get such good medicinal materials!" Her tone was calm, but Shang Zhi could hear that she was not calm in her heart.

Shang Zhi was furious and roared indignantly: "Is there any law in this world?" She clenched her fists tightly, as if she wanted to vent her anger.

Dark Moon Fairy looked up at the moon in the sky and said softly, "Where there is light, there will be shadows." Her voice was very soft, but it seemed to ring a warning bell in Shang Zhi's heart.

Shang Zhi saw that the people from the Dark Moon Pavilion and the Soul-Seeking Sect were also put into the prison van. She was extremely anxious and hurriedly said to the Dark Moon Fairy, "Master of the Dark Moon Pavilion, let's go and save them!" Her eyes were full of determination and resoluteness, as if she was ready to fight the enemy to the death.

Dark Moon Enchantress narrowed her eyes slightly, with a barely perceptible smile on her lips, and said softly, "No hurry! Wait a little longer!" Her voice revealed a kind of confidence that she was fully prepared.

Shang Zhi was extremely anxious, but out of trust in Dark Moon Fairy, he chose to follow her arrangements.

The shopkeeper moved quickly, putting everyone in the prison van, and then directed the servants to carry out several large boxes. These boxes looked very heavy and seemed to be filled with precious things.

Dark Moon Enchantress's eyes suddenly lit up. She clung to Shang Zhi and said in a low voice excitedly, "Here it comes! I finally got it! These treasures are mine! I'm helping you save people, so I won't share these with you!" Her tone was filled with undisguised greed.

Shang Zhi gritted her teeth, trying hard to suppress the anger in her heart, and said with gritted teeth: "Master of Dark Moon Pavilion didn't go to rescue people immediately, just to wait for these boxes of treasure?" Her eyes were full of disappointment and anger.

However, Dark Moon Fairy was completely oblivious to Shang Zhi's anger. She said smugly, "We are doing this to rid the people of this evil! These ill-gotten gains should be taken over by our Dark Moon Pavilion!"

Shang Zhi gripped the sword tightly, sweat seeping out of her palms. She widened her eyes and looked anxiously below, ready to fly off the roof to save people!

Dark Moon Fairy shook her head slightly and sighed: "Why are you in such a hurry!" As she spoke, she reached out and grabbed Shang Zhi, and quickly stuffed a pill into her mouth.

Shang Zhi was about to speak, but the pill slid down her throat. Her face changed drastically, and she cried out, "What did you feed me?"

Dark Moon Enchantress raised the corner of her mouth and smiled: "Antidote!" Before she finished speaking, she waved her hand and a strange fragrance wafted out.

As the aroma faded, the shopkeeper and several waiters, as if possessed by a demon, numbly walked to the prison van and mechanically unlocked the iron locks holding the jianghu people. Then, with somewhat stiff and uncoordinated movements, they moved all the boxes into the carriages of the Dark Moon Pavilion and the Soul-Destroying Sect.

Dark Moon Fairy gracefully stood up from the rooftop, clapped her hands, and then casually tossed a small porcelain bottle to Shang Zhi, chuckling softly, "Go wake up your brother and Mu San and the others, we're ready to go!"

Shang Zhi stared at the scene in stunned silence, her heart filled with shock and confusion. She had expected a fierce life-or-death struggle, yet it all ended so peacefully. Her eyes revealed astonishment at Dark Moon Enchantress's methods, and also disbelief that the situation had been resolved so easily.
