"As for you—" she then looked at the Crown Princess, "you spent an hour delivering tea and snacks. Tell me, what were you doing for that entire hour?"
Ye Jingchen didn't hear how the Crown Princess answered, because he had already been pulled away by Xie Chang'an.
"Xie Chang'an, I really helped you a lot today. How are you going to thank me?" Ye Jingchen asked with a smile as he walked beside Xie Chang'an.
If it weren't for his persuasion today, Xie Chang'an probably wouldn't have had the chance to go to the Northern Frontier, let alone take command of the Divine Might Army!
"If you help me, aren't you helping yourself?" Xie Chang'an retorted.
"Indeed, but that doesn't change the fact that I helped you!" Ye Jingchen wasn't going to give him a chance to deny it.
"What do you want me to do for you now?" Xie Chang'an took a half step away from Ye Jingchen.
Ye Jingchen thought for a moment and realized that there was nothing he urgently needed Xie Chang'an's help with recently.
"I'll remember this, and I'll contact you when I need you in the future."
"No credit allowed!" Xie Chang'an said irritably.
"Alright, then I'll ask you a question, and you just need to answer me truthfully!" Ye Jingchen thought of something and gave Xie Chang'an a meaningful smile.
His smile gave Xie Chang'an a bad feeling. "What do you want to ask?"
Ye Jingchen first looked around them. Good, there was no one around.
He leaned closer to Xie Chang'an and whispered a question in his ear.
Xie Chang'an stiffened, stopped there, and stared at Ye Jingchen in disbelief, wondering if there was something wrong with his ears.
If there were no problem with his hearing, why would Ye Jingchen ask him that kind of question?
