Although he was determined, he had an older sister.
"Go play with His Highness the Crown Prince," Chaolu said, giving Chenxi a push.
With a stern face, Chenxi reluctantly followed Ye Jingchen and Xie Chang'an out the door.
As soon as he left Chaoyunfang, he instinctively tried to hide himself, but Ye Jingchen, who had anticipated this, grabbed his sleeve.
"Don't hide it!" Ye Jingchen said.
"It doesn't matter if he hides, I can help you find him anyway." Xie Chang'an smiled and grasped Ye Jingchen's hand that was tugging at Chenxi's sleeve, pulling Chenxi's sleeve out, and then they held hands.
Seeing this scene, Chenxi just wanted to roll her eyes.
Was Ye Jingchen taking him out to play? He's clearly trying to make him feel like a dog!
"Where to?" he asked succinctly.
"It's not fun for the three of us grown men to get together. Why don't we go to the Duke of Zhenguo's mansion and bring Changzhao and Changze out to play?" Ye Jingchen thought for a moment and asked Xie Chang'an.
Since he couldn't be alone with Ye Jingchen today anyway, Xie Chang'an didn't care who he brought along. If it were Changzhao and Changze, they might even be able to help him keep Chenxi occupied.
"Sure!" Xie Chang'an readily agreed.
Upon arriving at the gate of the Duke of Zhenguo's mansion, Chenxi didn't want to go inside and said to Ye Jingchen, "I'll wait for you outside."
“How can we make our guests wait outside? There’s no need to go out of your way to pay respects to the elders; we’re just coming in to pick up the two children.”
Ye Jingchen wouldn't let Chenxi out of his sight. What if he ran away when they went to pick up the child?
