Chapter 28 Being a hooligan is truly a sin (Qin Wenxue Min)

Chapter 28 Being a hooligan is truly a sin (Qin Wenxue Min)

Qin Wenxue pursed her lips, looked away, and said softly, "It's nothing."

"Okay." The atmosphere was finally less awkward. Shi Wenzhe breathed a sigh of relief, and a smile spread across her face. Her eyes curved at the corners, and she had faint dimples when she smiled. At this moment, Shi Wenzhe truly looked like a pure and innocent little white flower.

"You're awake! That's wonderful news, we should celebrate!" Shi Wenzhe reverted to his usual shameless self, cheerfully ladling a bowl of chicken soup and handing it to Qin Wenxue: "Try it, it's delicious."

Qin Wenxue didn't take it, and she didn't mind. She placed the soup beside him, then served herself a bowl and ate heartily. Qin Wenxue's awakening had solved her biggest problem and worry. She was so hungry that she wanted to eat a whole cow.

Strangely enough, the bodies of monsters are different. Despite not eating for so long, she didn't faint from hunger. Her desire to eat now is merely a result of her cravings and a retaliatory act of eating after relaxing her guard.

"It's delicious." She said while eating, "These lotus seeds are really different. They warm your body after eating them. You know, the fruit of the thorny vine is also edible. It's similar to a lemon, but not so sour. It's especially fragrant when added to soup. There should be many edible plants in Yunmengze. When I get back, I'll try them one by one, and I'll make them all for you to try later."

"By the way, you're the Right Protector, so have you been to Yunmengze before? It's right outside Qiyun Palace. I planted all the flowers, plants, and trees there, and they're all spiritual plants. How amazing am I..." She rambled on without any rhyme or reason, saying whatever came to mind, just like sharing her joyful moments with her family at home during a meal, relaxed and happy.

Qin Wenxue neither interrupted nor responded, but quietly watched her under the lush lamplight, as if he were recalling something through her, a memory filled with happiness and leisure, so his gaze was also quiet and gentle.

Ming Shu was unusually quiet. He was like a child hearing an adult tell a story for the first time, earnest and even fond of it. The voice was hazy and indistinct through the mist, somewhat hypnotic and unreal, as if the person was not in the same time and space as him, and the chattering person was just his imagination.

Shi Wenzhe, caught up in the story, paused to look at the distracted person and dog. She said with some displeasure, "Am I that unengaging? You two look like you're about to fall asleep." She then sighed, looking unhappy, "You're both so quiet, not even talking to me. Fine, I'll talk to myself then. You..." She pointed to Qinwenxue, "And you too." Then she pointed to the little white dog, "You should at least give me some response."

"There aren't many people as eloquent as me. What if I leave later if you don't cherish me?"

"Sigh. They're really two taciturn types."

"Alright, alright, I won't say anymore. The chicken's almost cold. Considering how hard I've worked, please have a taste, gentlemen." Shi Wenzhe picked up the bowl and held it to Qin Wenxue's lips. She tilted her head, eager to try: "Do you want me to feed you?"

Ming Shu: "..."

"Woof woof!" it warned. "Shi Wenzhe, you'd better watch out. Can you handle the consequences of teasing me? You're asking for it!"

Shi Wenzhe, confused, stared at the little white dog and asked, "What are you barking about?" She pointed to the bamboo tube in front of the little white dog and said, "Eat it yourself if you're hungry. I won't feed a puppy. If I'm going to feed someone, I'll feed a beautiful lady!"

"Hehe." She just laughed sweetly.

"???" Ming Shu was so angry that he turned around and spun around, spreading his four legs and charging at Shi Wenzhe.

"Ah—!" Shi Wenzhe cried out in pain, clutching her waist. She pushed the little white dog away and shoved it into Qin Wenxue's arms. Qin Wenxue, her clothes disheveled, half-protected the dog and watched as they fought for three or four hundred rounds. Shi Wenzhe was kicked by the dog and, not to be outdone, pulled its ear. The little white dog howled as it was pulled and then angrily tried to bite it, but Shi Wenzhe nimbly dodged, and the little white dog failed.

Shi Wen, hands on her hips, laughed wildly, threatening, "Come on, bite me! Bite me! Hahahaha! You're just a little puppy!" She shook her head, utterly delighted, "Little puppy, little puppy, squeak squeak squeak, don't worry, I won't hit you, hahahaha! And don't try to be a hero—you can't even jump as high as my thigh, hahahaha!"

Ming Shu: "..."

Ming Shu stared blankly, as if struck by lightning and greatly shocked. It tiptoed to Qin Wenxue's side, its eyes rolling around. Finally, it was so shocked that it couldn't figure it out after thinking for a long time. It suddenly burrowed under Qin Wenxue's red clothes, whimpering as it did so.

"Help! Your Majesty! I heard that she's being a pervert! A pervert!" Ming Shu cried out in anguish.

"What's your name?" Shi Wenzhe couldn't understand. Was she some kind of terrifying monster? It was really a little sad that she was so disliked.

A chuckle suddenly came from inside the cave. Shi Wenzhe seemed to have been stepped on as he passed by, and he fell silent abruptly. He stared at Qin Wenxue expressionlessly and asked, "What are you laughing at?"

The laughter was initially faint and suppressed, but it became increasingly uncontrollable, filling the entire cave with his unrestrained laughter. Qin Wenxue covered her mouth, laughing so hard that her whole body trembled. The red-clad beauty smiled radiantly, her eyes sparkling like stars. Shi Wenzhe was completely captivated, unable to think of anything or remember anything, and just stared at her intently without blinking.

Ming Shu barked twice at an inopportune moment, then covered her head and shivered under the red dress. Shi Wenzhe looked away for a moment, and in that instant, something seemed to slip off her shoulder and fall to the ground. She felt the chilling wind and the blazing heat drilling straight into her chest.

Shi Wenzhe felt a chill run down her spine. She instinctively tried to catch the falling object with her arms, but she was a moment too late. The object slipped to the ground, and a slight scraping sound reached her ears, a sound that irritated her eardrums and soul.

Shi Wenzhe's eyes widened as if a pause button had been pressed, and he looked at his own body in horror.

Her bare shoulders were exposed in the darkness, and her arms and legs were equally exposed, starkly blinding her. "Ah—!" Shi Wenzhe screamed in terror, hurriedly picking up her fallen outer garment and haphazardly wrapping it around herself.

However, because her outer garment was crumpled up and not unfolded, she couldn't understand how to cover it up. Instead, it made her already tattered body even more tattered. Shi Wenzhe's actions were as fierce as a tiger, but when he looked back, he was still a fool. The tattered dress on her body had been torn into several pieces, hanging on her body and about to fall off.

"I'm going to die." Shi Wenzhe looked at Qin Wenxue in horror, thinking, "Why do I always embarrass myself in front of him? What crime would be committed in ancient times if someone acted like a hooligan? Would Qin Wenxue think she was a promiscuous person? Would he hate her?"

Her emotions were building up inside her and were about to explode. She didn't know whether the shock of being naked was greater or the hurt from Qin Wenxue's mockery.

He was laughing so loudly, it must be mockery... Shi Wenzhe wasn't sure, but even if it wasn't mockery, she had no face to stand there blankly. Shi Wenzhe abandoned her clothes, squatted down with a heart full of despair, and covered her face with her outer garment to escape reality, after all, she really had almost no face left.

"Woof woof woof woof." Ming Shu laughed like a fool, kicking his legs wildly in the air: "Hahahaha, Your Majesty, Shi Wenzhe is so funny, hahahaha, Your Majesty, my stomach hurts from laughing so much."

The dog's barking was so piercing that Shi Wenzhe shattered her heart and burst into tears, crying out, "Waaaaah, I'm so ashamed to face anyone!"

Qin Wenxue smiled, her eyes turning red.

The cold fragrance gradually approached, and the warm breath enveloped her. Shi Wenzhe raised one eye to observe secretly, and saw Qin Wenxue lift the cloak and put it on her, and even tied a knot in it.

She could only see the man's well-defined fingers, and the cold fragrance of winter plum blossoms lingered around her nose. "Get up," Qin Wenxue said softly, and she obediently stood up with his help.

The cloak was put back on her, covering her completely.

Are you cold?

I often heard him shake his head.

"Hmm." Qin Wenxue didn't speak again, but the smile in her eyes didn't diminish at all, and even her tone became much gentler.

Shi Wenzhe blushed and felt hot, and could only bury her face in her fur collar and pretend to be a quail. But the cold fragrance did not let her go at all, and insisted on drilling into her nose, brain and even heart, making her feel flustered.

She stammered softly, "Thank you."

Qin Wenxue smiled and shook her head.

"Sigh." Shi Wenzhe wasn't just a little uncomfortable, she was extremely uncomfortable. She couldn't help but think in a desperate, "Anyway, this isn't the first time I've embarrassed myself in front of him. Heavens above, earth below! Destroy it all! Whatever!"

She didn't care anymore, and sat down on the stone slab right next to the little white dog, staring at it with a disdainful look.

Ming Shu got angry from being stared at, and ran to Qin Wenxue's side, whimpering.

"You little dog, you're so mean!" Shi Wenzhe complained.

"Woof woof woof!" Ming Shu barked twice. He didn't mean it, so he just offered a slight apology.

"What's with that expression, puppy? Are you provoking me?!" Shi Wenzhe raised his eyebrows and pressed on.

"What?" Ming Shu was innocent. Although he was a dog now, he wasn't really that much of a dog. He had accidentally torn off the clothes, but hadn't he already apologized? He looked at Shi Wenzhe with a sidelong glance as if he were an idiot, thinking, "This person is probably crazy. He's just taking advantage of the fact that he can't talk right now."

Shi Wenzhe was immediately angered by that look in her eyes. She blinked maliciously and chuckled, then reached out her wicked claws towards the weak and helpless puppy.

The shadows cast on the cave walls by the lamplight trembled.

"Your Majesty! Your Majesty, save me!" Ming Shu flailed his four legs wildly, using all his strength to try to break free from Shi Wenzhe's grasp, but how could a puppy escape the deliberate control of a human?
