Chapter 8 Visiting Neighbors

The morning sun shone into the room, and the dissatisfied voice of mother Alia came from the kitchen downstairs.

"Josie! I told you not to play with ketchup!"

"Honey, go check on Jody and see why he hasn't woken up yet. It's getting late and we won't be able to go out soon."

The sound reached upstairs and Jody, who was awakened, opened his eyes drowsily with some confusion in his eyes.

She turned her head and her eyes fell on the drawer. She was slightly stunned, and what happened last night suddenly came to her mind, as well as that strange black hair.

After a while, Jody slowly sat up, and the first thing he did when he got out of bed was to check the thing.

When she saw that the jar was still in the same position as last night, she breathed a barely audible sigh of relief.

Her eyes fell on the trash can next to her. She hesitated for several minutes, and finally closed it back in the drawer.

When I went downstairs, my little sister, Jorg, was playing with her doll on the sofa, my father was sitting at the dining table reading a newspaper, and opposite them sat Josie, who was holding a bottle of ketchup and smearing it with it, with no expression on her face.

Just at this moment, Jiang Xi came out of the kitchen. Seeing her coming down, he smiled and waved, "Come and have some breakfast, dear."

Josie at the table paused when she heard this, and moved her eyes from the bread to Jody on the stairs. She put down the ketchup in her hand, her dry green hair was messy on her head, her light eyes were emotionless, but the corners of her mouth were slowly rising, revealing a smile that seemed to be a greeting.

It looks extremely weird.

Jody pretended not to notice the smile and walked to the dining table: "Mom, where are we going later?"

She seemed to hear someone going out upstairs.

Jiang Xi nodded: "Yes, our family is going to say hello to our neighbors."

When Jody heard her mother say that she was going to the neighbor's house, she showed a hint of surprise in her eyes: "Is it Aunt Filia?!"

Jiang Xi put the plate on the table and smiled, "Of course, Aunt Filia saved Xiao Ge, so we must thank her."

At this time, Qiao Ge also ran over and shouted, "I want to thank Aunt Filia too! She saved Xiao Ge!"

Hou Liang lowered his head and touched her head: "Xiao Ge is so good, didn't you prepare a gift for Aunt Filia? Don't forget to take it."

"Dad, you're right!"

Qiao Ge immediately ran upstairs, "I'll get it now!"

Everyone was in high spirits, except for Qiao Xi at the table who snorted in disgust: "Oh, just an old woman."

Her voice was very low, but Qiao Di next to her still heard it. She turned around and saw that the other person's face was a little pale, so she tentatively asked: "Qiao Xi, are you not feeling well? Do you want to go and rest for a while? We can go there."

Qiao Xi glanced at her, licked her dry lips, and felt a little annoyed: "No, I'll go too."

Sure enough, it is still a bit difficult to make a dead body maintain the characteristics of a living person.

Qiao Xi, no, now it should be said Dadong.

Ever since Dadong gained control of this body last night, he was ordered by the young master to approach that woman.

Although Dadong didn't understand, he had no choice but to follow the instructions.

That damn foreign woman, the young master must have wanted to torture her, so he let him get close to her and try to find out her background.

In fact, not only Dadong didn't understand, even the audience in the barrage couldn't understand what Bai Jingmo was thinking.

[No, what is Bai Jingmo doing? Normally, shouldn't he be killing people? Why did he only kill one? ]

[Maybe he just woke up and hasn't recovered yet? Who knows what he's thinking? I haven't seen enough of Xixi. ]

[By the way, that pretty sister turned out to be the murderer of Bai Jingmo? Oh my god, a cold and aloof young master from the East and a beautiful bad woman from the West, so exciting... Bai Jingmo, if you act well this time, I will give you a good review! ]

[The above person understands me! I think so too! It's really good! It's just a pity that Bai Jingmo kills people so quickly every time. I guess the beautiful sister won't be able to hold on for long this time. ]

[Alas, Bai Jingmo just doesn't have independent consciousness. If he had independent consciousness, it would be easy to deal with. ]

[I don't think so. The system gave him a living character last time. You see, he died in just a few minutes. I guess he has used up all his points.]

When the family was ready to go out, Dadong followed behind Qiaodi, squinting at the girl in front of him.

As soon as he left that day, the young master was unsealed by someone. This person was the only one in the room at that time, so it was probably her who unsealed him.

Maybe she has that thing too.

He gradually leaned back behind Jody and whispered, "Jyoti, did you pick up something?"

Jodie, who had originally looked happy, froze in an instant. She paused and turned around to meet Qiao Xi's lifeless eyes. There were dark circles under her eyes, and she looked particularly haggard. Her unkempt green hair was as dry as straw.

There was warm sunshine above his head, but when he was looked at by those eyes, Jody got goose bumps all over his back and his hair stood on end.

She suppressed her panic and guilt and said dryly, "What are you talking about? I don't understand."

"It's the stuff in the attic." Qiao Xi's eyes were still fixed on her. "Did you pick it up?"

"I don't know! Don't ask me!"

Qiao Di's scalp tingled, and he yelled, then ran towards Jiang Xi in front of him.

The noise they made attracted Jiang Xi's attention, and he turned his head in confusion.

All they saw was Qiao Xi standing there, with her back slightly bent, her arms neatly placed at her sides, her chin tucked in, her eyes looking upwards, her lifeless eyes just staring straight at them.
