Chapter 133 The Cry

Just as Jiang Tangtang was worrying, she saw Lu Shiyan walking out of the lake carrying a long string of fish.

Looking at that long string of fish, her mind automatically conjured up all sorts of delicious-looking pictures, such as pickled fish, spicy fish, scrambled fish head, and grilled fish.

She unconsciously swallowed.

The loud swallowing sound was particularly prominent in the quiet night. Both father and son looked at her.

Jiang Tangtang blushed instantly.

She used to eat all sorts of delicious food, but now she's actually drooling over a few fish that still have their scales on.

She's really accomplished.

"Are you hungry?" Lu Shiyan put the fish aside and washed the mud off his body with the lake water.

"There's no tinderbox." Jiang Tangtang's gaze fell on his long, muscular calves, and she couldn't help but swallow again.

She felt as if she were in ancient times, experiencing the pleasures of a Thai male model restaurant.

While the quantity may not match that of male model restaurants, the quality is absolutely top-notch.

Her gaze traveled down from his handsome face and sexy Adam's apple.

When Lu Shiyan went into the water, he didn't take off his clothes. Now, his thin clothes were soaked and clung tightly to his body.

His soaked clothes were slightly open, revealing his strong and muscular chest. The clothes clung to his body, showing off his well-defined abdominal muscles and two distinct V-lines.

Lu Shiyan felt hot under her blatant gaze. He coughed awkwardly and said, "Wait a moment."

He took some hay, and clashed his longsword with the dagger he carried with him. Sparks flew everywhere, and the hay was ignited by the sparks.

After lighting the fire, he asked Jiang Tangtang, "What else do we need to do?"

Jiang Tangtang also wants to eat grilled fish.

But she hadn't planned to cook outside, so she didn't bring any seasonings. Besides, there were already a dozen wild duck eggs roasting in the fire, enough for the three of them.

“No need.” She reached out and grabbed his long, slender hand. “Husband, please sit down and dry your clothes. You’re all wet.”

"It's hot, so being wet doesn't matter."

"It's not cold, but it's so uncomfortable to wear wet clothes!" With the child beside her, Jiang Tangtang didn't want to do anything. She genuinely felt that even in summer, wearing wet clothes would be uncomfortable.

But as their fingers touched, and with the undisguised look in her eyes, Lu Shiyan couldn't help but recall her past actions. A strange heat surged through him.

He stepped aside and said, "I just saw some water chestnuts in the lake. Wait a moment, I'll go pick some for you."

After saying that, he jumped into the lake as if fleeing.

Jiang Tangtang was speechless. It was just touching his hand, did he have to make such a fuss?

It made her seem like a monster.

Just as Jiang Tangtang was complaining, Lu Chenyan suddenly stood up and walked into the woods.

"What are you doing?" Jiang Tangtang could no longer complain about Lu Shiyan and hurriedly got up to chase after him.

Lu Chenyan pointed into the woods and said, "There's a sound."

Jiang Tangtang frowned. "What was that sound? I didn't hear it!"

Lu Chenyan pointed into the woods again and said, "The sound of crying is coming from over there."

Behind this lake are mountains, and Jiang Tangtang dared not let her child run into the mountains alone. "Don't go alone, it's dangerous in the forest."

She was about to turn around and call out to Lu Shiyan when she saw him walk out of the lake. Clearly, he, like Lu Chenyan, had heard the sounds coming from the mountains.

"Wait for me here." Lu Shiyan grabbed the long sword from the ground and headed into the mountains.

But when he turned around and saw Jiang Tangtang's pale face and her frightened lips, he changed his mind and said, "Never mind, you guys come with me!"

Jiang Tangtang immediately breathed a sigh of relief.

To be honest, if it weren't for Lu Shiyan's formidable martial arts skills, she really wouldn't have dared to come to this lakeside at night.

To prevent wild animals from stealing the fish and duck eggs, Lu Shiyan tied the two items together with rope and hung them on the branches of a tree.

Lu Shiyan ignored the wild duck eggs roasting in the fire.

Firstly, the wild duck eggs were carefully wrapped and buried under the fire; secondly, wild animals fear fire and would never easily disturb the fire.

Lu Shiyan simply cleared away the weeds around the fire to prevent it from starting a wildfire, and then led Jiang Tangtang and Lu Chenyan into the mountains.

At first, Jiang Tangtang didn't hear anything, but after entering the depths of the mountains, she faintly heard the roars of wild animals, and in the roars, there seemed to be the cries of children.
