Chapter 28 Kiss
Chu Xiang took a few quick steps forward before remembering that she had sprained her ankle not long ago. She paused, glanced at Gu Heng, and then slowed down, as if her ankle hadn't healed yet.
There seemed to be a hint of a smile hidden in Gu Heng's eyes.
The security guards arrived quickly and asked Ms. Lu to leave, but Lu Xiaoman was still furious. She needed to point her finger at Gu Heng and yell at him to vent her anger.
Assistant Yin said, "This young lady is no longer an employee of our company."
Their company rules and regulations have always been very strict. Unless they are employees or partners, outsiders are not allowed to enter or leave at will.
Upon hearing this, the security guards lost all restraint, and the two of them dragged Lu Xiaoman away. Lu Xiaoman struggled, shouting, "You're all in cahoots, aiding and abetting evil! This is a society governed by law! Gu Heng, you can threaten me, but I won't give in to you!"
Assistant Yin's eyelids twitched.
What did Lu Xiaoman say?
What does it mean to refuse to submit to Gu Heng?
It's as if Gu Heng did something to her just to make her submit.
Lu Xiaoman was moving her arms and legs wildly, and could hit someone nearby at any moment. Gu Heng took a step out and stretched out his hand to block Chu Xiang's side to protect her, so that the crazy woman would not have any chance to touch her.
However, the moment she saw him extend his hand, Chu Xiang seemed to misunderstand something. She also extended her hand, and so their hands clasped together.
Gu Heng's figure stiffened slightly.
Assistant Yin turned around and only saw Chu Xiang's shadow being pulled into the elevator. Then the elevator doors closed, and he stood outside rubbing his eyes, feeling that the scene he had just seen of Gu Heng holding hands with a girl was just his imagination.
The elevator was quiet.
Chu Xiang's hands were still a little cold from holding the milk tea, but they were quickly warmed up by the man's hands.
Chu Xiang looked up and smiled, her face full of innocence. "Brother Gu, you're so kind. You were worried about my leg and that I might fall, so you held my hand and helped me up."
Gu Heng felt as if his hand was bound by something, and he couldn't bring himself to let go easily.
The temperature inside the elevator seemed a bit high.
Gu Heng looked down at her and asked in a low voice, "Why did you come here?"
Chu Xiang replied, "Aunt Gu came to see me early this morning. Knowing that I didn't have class in the morning, she insisted on taking me to your company. However, she had just brought me to the company entrance when she received a call from Gu Jue and then left in a hurry, telling me to wait for her to come back at the company."
Non-employees are not allowed to enter or leave the company building at will, but as the boss's mother, Chen Wanrou certainly has the right to bring people to the company.
Gu Heng gently moved her hand, but still felt that her hand was a little cold. He took the remaining milk tea from her other hand; it was iced.
He frowned slightly in disapproval, "Eating ice first thing in the morning."
Chu Xiang pursed her lips, "I don't eat it often, I only eat it occasionally."
The elevator doors opened.
Gu Heng led her out of the elevator and into his office. Ignoring the girl's reluctant gaze, he threw the unfinished milk tea into the trash can. Then, he looked at her and asked, "Have you had breakfast?"
Gu Heng's daily routine has always been very regular, but young people nowadays are different. Sometimes they sleep in and end up eating breakfast and lunch together.
It's not even nine o'clock yet, and she said she didn't have class this morning. He guessed that if Chen Wanrou hadn't gone to find her, she would probably still be sleeping in.
Chu Xiang answered honestly, "No."
Gu Heng took out his phone and asked her, "What would you like to eat? How about carrot juice?"
Chu Xiang immediately shook her head, "I don't want to."
Gu Heng placed his phone in her hand, "Take a look and see what you want."
Chu Xiang held his phone in both hands, and for some reason, her heart was pounding. She swiped the screen with one finger, not even looking up, and casually asked, "Who is that girl who was blocking the elevator? I heard her say she wouldn't give in to you. What do you want her to do?"
Gu Heng: "She was just a humanoid creature with an underdeveloped cerebellum and an underdeveloped brain. I have no relation to her whatsoever."
Chu Xiang smiled and ordered a bowl of millet porridge and a plate of fried dumplings. Then she handed the phone back to him, looked up at him, and said with a smile, "I'll take these."
Gu Heng glanced at the food she ordered and, seeing that it seemed healthy enough, didn't say anything more and paid directly.
Chu Xiang tugged at his sleeve again, looking worried. "Brother Gu, what if she comes looking for you again?"
Gu Heng said, "No, she won't be able to join the company in the future."
"That's not necessarily true." Chu Xiang pursed her lips, looking very worried for him. "You're good-looking, have a good temper, and are very patient with everything. There aren't many good men like you in this world. What if someone covets you and pretends to be nice to get your attention and get close to you?"
The girl's slender white fingertips rested on the hem of his black shirt; the stark contrast between the two colors made it impossible to ignore how adorable her hands were.
After military training, she regained her fair complexion. Now, her dark eyes are bright, her face is fair and tender, and her expression is sincere. People would believe she is an innocent angel. It's as if she is simply concerned about him and is not talking badly about others.
Gu Heng's Adam's apple bobbed, and he calmly began, "You said you'd pretend to get my attention so you could get close to me..."
His eyes were fixed on her. He slowly bent down and looked closely at the girl's face. The coldness in his black eyes slowly faded and was replaced by something called "desire," a man's instinct.
He said in a low, languid tone, "Is this how you're seducing me now?"
It was as if ripples had begun to appear on the calm surface of a lake, and the beast lurking beneath the surface began to stir restlessly. Its aggressive aura spread like a dense net, enveloping her. It felt like a danger, stimulating the excitement within her.
Chu Xiang didn't answer his question. She pursed her pink lips and blinked pitifully, "Brother Gu, my feet hurt."
Gu Heng's hand gripped her waist. The difference in their sizes made her feel like a doll, as she was lifted up and placed on the large desk. As soon as she sat down, the man's hand grabbed her chin, and the moment her face was lifted, her mouth was covered.
The excitement grew even stronger.
Chu Xiang reached out and wrapped her arms around his neck, clearly conveying that she didn't dislike him. Gu Heng's throat tightened, and the suppressed tenderness slowly turned into a ruthless plunder.
Just like in his dream, no matter how much he indulged her, she would not resist.
He pressed his hand on the back of her head harder, touching the small green hair clip in her hair. The cool touch inexplicably ignited the fire in his body even more.
He remembered that in those ever-changing dreams, her green hair clip had fallen under the bed, on the sofa, in the bathroom, and in front of the glass window...
And now, this little hair clip is in his hands.
In the corridor, Assistant Yin, who was passing by, heard the sound of things falling to the ground from the office. Thinking something had happened, he pushed the door open a crack, but was so frightened that he stepped back and closed the door.
Assistant Yin leaned against the wall, her expression blank.
Was he hallucinating?
Otherwise, how could he have seen the boss pressing his future sister-in-law against the desk and kissing her?!
