After saying this, Gu Jue strode away and walked out of the office.
Chen Wanrou stood up anxiously, "Gu Jue, stop right there!"
Gu Jue had already left the house, and not even his back could be seen anymore.
Chen Wanrou quickly followed him out. She was still scared when Gu Jue said he was going to run away from home. What if the child really cut off all contact and ran away from home?
The office door closed automatically, leaving only a man and a woman in the large space.
Chu Xiang carried the fried dumplings to the desk, leaned against it, propped her chin on one hand, and looked at the young man in front of her without any restraint. "I can't finish them."
Gu Heng didn't speak, nor did he look up. He finished the remaining dumplings while flipping through the documents.

This man wasn't as strikingly handsome as Gu Jue at first glance, but he possessed a unique charm that grew on you the more you looked at him.
Chu Xiang rested her chin on her hands, tilted her head slightly, and looked at the man's cold and hard profile with satisfied squinting eyes. He was clearly a man with a reserved and steady temperament, but occasionally, he would also show his sharp edge without reservation, telling others that he was not as innocent and harmless as he appeared on the surface.
After reviewing the documents and confirming that there were no problems, Gu Heng signed them all. He then neatly stacked the documents on the upper right corner of the table. Then, he looked up and asked, "Aren't you tired doing this?"

She waved as usual, opened the car door, and got out.
Before Chu Xiang even reached the school gate, someone called her name. It was a boy with a backpack, probably her classmate.
The young man clearly had a crush on Chu Xiang. When Chu Xiang stopped and looked at him, a hint of shyness appeared on his face. He glanced at the car parked next to him and could vaguely see a man sitting inside through the glass window.
The boy asked cautiously, "Chu Xiang, is that your boyfriend?"

Her voice came through so clearly that Gu Heng gripped the steering wheel even tighter.
Standing next to her was a boy of similar age, in the prime of his youth, full of youthful romance and vitality. If they walked together, the first reaction of anyone who saw them would definitely be that they should be a couple.
If the person walking beside her were him, other people's opinions would probably be different.
Gu Heng considered himself older, so he shouldn't be the one to act recklessly. Instead, he should retreat to a safer place. This would be best for both him and her.
And that's exactly what he did.
In fact, Gu Heng wasn't sure whether she was just seeking excitement or just having a passing interest in him, but he was certain that she was a smart girl. So when she realized he was going to retreat back to the safe zone, she cooperated and stepped back.

Gu Heng drove to a secluded spot. Chu Xiang sat in the car, looking around. She muttered, "I don't see any dessert shops here."
The man called her name, "Chu Xiang".

Chu Xiang blinked, puzzled. "Try what?"
Gu Heng: "Date me."
