Chapter 15 Entering the Mermaid Realm ~ If we're talking about the Elf race...
If the elven realm's style is a masterpiece of nature, creating a vibrant world, then the mermaid realm, if described in a single word, can only be called dreamlike.
Especially when entering the main planet of the Mermaid, which resembles a water sphere, a ring of light, like the aurora borealis on Earth, shone brightly in the universe, like a diamond embedded in the cosmos.
After Sang Zhitao entered the main planet, she looked out the spaceship window and discovered that the Mermaid Main Planet was not the simple water planet she had imagined, but rather a collection of magnificent sky cities. These sky cities, constructed of an unknown material, floated in the sky, shimmering under the light.
"Wow!" Sang Zhitao exclaimed in surprise as she looked at this dreamlike city that resembled a fairy tale world.
"Isn't it beautiful? This is our pride!" The mermaid prince proudly approached her, speaking in a boastful tone.
"How did they manage to make the city so high up in the air?" Sang Zhitao asked him curiously.
The merman prince paused, a hint of embarrassment flashing in his eyes, before clearing his throat and replying, "You wouldn't understand even if I told you. You're still a child."
Just as Sang Zhitao continued to press for answers, he spotted Platinum passing by the door and chased after him with a smug look on his face: "Darling~"
Sang Zhitao watched him leave in surprise before turning to Yi Lei beside her and asking, "What...what exactly did he come here for?"
Yi Lei laughed unrestrainedly, making no attempt to hide her schadenfreude: "It's nothing, it's nothing, don't worry about it."
Sang Zhitao pursed her lips, hesitated for a moment, and asked, "Then... won't this prevent us from using the road?"
Irene touched her little face and comforted her, "Don't worry, although we wind elves were forced to leave our home planet, we are not to be bullied by the merfolk. After all... the elf race is not just about wind elves."
Sang Zhitao nodded, finally relieved, and couldn't help but sigh inwardly: "Indeed, the treatment of a race that is preserved intact is completely different from that of a race that is left with only the old, weak and sick."
"What about the mermaid prince? Shouldn't we just leave him be? Elves and mermaids... can they really get married?" Sang Zhitao asked curiously as she watched the mermaid prince chase after Platinum's figure as he passed by.
Yi Lei glanced at the other person with disdain before looking at Sang Zhitao and saying, "It's nothing, he's just a prince."
"Huh?" Sang Zhitao was filled with question marks at these words.
Before she could ask, Irene asked her curiously, "Why does Sylph always call him the Mermaid Prince instead of by his name? Sylph doesn't need to do that. His status among the merfolk is not as high as yours among the elves. Only his father deserves such respectful address."
Sang Zhitao scratched her head before realizing that her act of calling the other person "Mermaid Prince" was, in interstellar terms, a respectful term used by a subordinate to address a superior.
Her lips twitched, and she replied with a helpless expression, "But... Yi Lei, I don't know his name."
Irene was stunned, then burst into even louder laughter.
Seeing Yi Lei's appearance, Sang Zhitao sighed softly. As they became more familiar with each other, Yi Lei no longer maintained her queenly dignity in front of her, revealing her mischievous and playful side.
“Yi Lei…” Sang Zhitao puffed out her cheeks, put her hands on her hips, and looked at Yi Lei with some dissatisfaction.
Seeing her pout, Irene quickly suppressed her smile, touched her cheek, and explained, "I wasn't making fun of you, Sylph, I just... I just..."
Seeing her guiltily shift her gaze, Sang Zhitao gave a soft snort before saying, "You just want to laugh."
Irene quickly held her close: "I'm sorry, Sylph, I just didn't expect it. Everyone has been worried about how to tell you these days, they were afraid you would be sad."
Sang Zhitao was taken aback, not expecting the elves to have such concerns. Her heart softened, and she looked up to touch Yi Lei's cheek: "It's alright, Yi Lei. After all, this is really funny."
A gentle smile appeared on Yi Lei's face, radiating a maternal glow. She looked at Sang Zhitao and said seriously, "This was our mistake. We didn't expect these details."
Sang Zhitao waved her hand dismissively and replied, "Alright, we don't need to apologize to each other. What's his name anyway?"
As the spaceship slowly landed at the dock, Irene didn't linger any longer. While helping her straighten her clothes, she said, "His name is Laru. Sylph can just call him by his name."
Before Sang Zhitao could reply, she placed Sang Zhitao on a throne made from the branches of the Elf Mother Tree, then crowned Sang Zhitao with an exquisite laurel wreath before lifting the throne and heading towards the exit.
Sang Zhitao was not surprised, after all, this was the procedure that Nora had already told her. She just didn't expect that it would be Irene who was holding her. According to the status arrangement of the elves, she was most suitable to be held by the head guard.
"Yi Lei?" Sang Zhitao frowned slightly, looking at Yi Lei with a puzzled expression.
Irene looked down at her, understood her thoughts, and said with a smile, "Sylph, you deserve it."
After saying that, she did not wait for Sang Zhitao's reply, straightened up, and led by the guards led by Meng Aerke, walked step by step toward the spaceship's exit.
The first to appear before the merfolk were the members of the guard team, who descended the steps first and stood guard on both sides.
Next came Irene, holding the Mulberry Peach, followed by Monark, and then Platinum and Eva, the upper elves.
"Welcome, Wind Elf Queen." A handsome blue-haired man in the group greeted her with a smile and bowed to Irene.
“Long time no see, Hala.” Irene nodded to him.
The man called Hala smiled and offered a few compliments to Irene before respectfully addressing Sang Zhitao: "This must be the Crown Prince of the Wind Elf Clan. Hello, I am Hala, the Foreign Minister of the Merfolk Clan."
Sang Zhitao had already been instructed by Nora, and at this moment she maintained a dignified demeanor, nodding slightly to him.
Seeing this, Hala didn't say much and led everyone to the Merfolk Royal Palace.
The Merfolk Royal Palace was built in Sky City, occupying the largest city.
Sang Zhitao had been curious from the beginning about how the mermaids traveled from the seabed to the sky, until they arrived at the palace in a small airship.
This question was finally answered.
Their airship landed beneath a magnificent building, and following Hala's guidance, they walked into the building.
What appeared before Sang Zhitao was a magnificent elevator that left her speechless.
Once inside the elevator, she suddenly realized that it was completely different from what she had imagined.
This place is like an exquisite and luxurious residence, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering unobstructed views of the main star of the Mermaid.
Seeing her surprised expression, Hala showed no sign of surprise. Instead, he stepped forward and politely began to explain to her...

Because another story is about to finish, and I'll be focusing on that one, I'll be updating this one every other day. That story should be finished in about ten days, at which point I can guarantee daily updates. I'm a bit feverish, so my writing might not be very good. Please forgive me.
