Chapter 3 Wow~ Wind Sprite "Irene, don't want the spirit stone..."
"Irene, don't forget the Elf Stone." Sang Zhitao sat obediently in the mini treehouse that Monark had prepared for her, reminding Irene that she didn't want to end up like the female protagonist, going to the Star Alliance hungry the whole way.
After all, the female protagonist is an adult, so even without the spirit stone, she can still eat some fruit.
As a child, without the spirit stone, she would have to go hungry.
Irene smiled and touched her little face with her fingertips: "Don't worry, Sylph, I won't forget."
Sang Zhitao was only a newborn and was not allowed to participate in any of the arrangements for the escape.
She was placed in the treehouse and quickly fell asleep.
No one noticed the strange green light flashing on the sleeping Sang Zhitao's body, which seemed to be a special signal.
Sang Zhitao, however, could only feel an indescribable sense of weightlessness in her sleep. But before she could figure out what this feeling was, everything returned to normal.
"Tao Tao? Tao Tao?" A voice called out, and Sang Zhi Tao wanted to cover her ears, but felt an overwhelming heaviness on her body.
She forced open her heavy eyelids and vaguely saw something indescribable, furry, blanket-like, pressing down on her.
She reached out and pushed to make some space, then wriggled upwards before letting out a deep breath.
Yawning, she looked at the ceiling, feeling that the room looked somewhat familiar.
"It feels like my sister's house..." she murmured unconsciously.
An inexplicable, heavy drowsiness closed her eyelids, relaxed her limbs, and she slumped onto the bed, drifting back into a deep sleep...
"Oh my god, Sylph is so cute." A cute male elf held his face in his hands and looked at the sleeping Sang Zhi Tao, looking completely charmed by her.
“Yes, the elven race hasn’t seen a newborn in a long time.” The female elf next to her also looked eager, wanting to reach out and touch it.
"Platinum, Peg? What are you doing?" A voice suddenly rang out from behind. The two turned around hurriedly, a hint of embarrassment on their faces: "Nora, we were just curious about the juvenile form of Hope."
Nora nodded, walked up to Sang Zhitao's treehouse, and looked at the sleeping Sang Zhitao, her eyes softening.
"Alright, let Sylph rest first. We have a long, long time to spend together."
Platinum scratched his head sheepishly. "I understand, Nora. Let's go right away."
Peggy looked at Sang Zhitao with reluctance in her eyes, but was still pulled away by Platinum.
When Sang Zhitao woke up, they had already set off for the Star Alliance.
Looking at the treehouse and the futuristic walls outside, Sang Zhitao felt that she hadn't seen this scene when she woke up.
"Why do I feel like I just went back to my sister's house?" She frowned slightly, wondering if it was just her imagination.
When Yi Lei saw that she had woken up, she found her slightly furrowed little face incredibly cute.
Carefully holding the mulberry peach, Yi Lei led her to a huge room, a surprise they had prepared for Hope.
Sang Zhitao looked at the fairy tree that almost filled the entire room with admiration.
She had always thought that the Elf Tree could only be shrunk and packed away by communicating with it, but she never expected that the Elf race had its own way.
“But…” She frowned slightly, somewhat puzzled. She remembered that in her book, the female protagonist led the remaining members of her clan to escape from their home planet, taking only a branch of the mother tree with her. She did not have the ability to take the mother tree with her. Later, the female protagonist accidentally cultivated the branch and realized that she could shrink the mother tree.
So what's going on now?
Sang Zhitao looked at Yi Lei with a scrutinizing and curious gaze.
Irene smiled at her: "What's wrong, Sylph?"
Sang Zhitao hesitated for a long time before asking, "Yi Lei, how did you take the mother tree away?"
Irene paused, seemingly surprised by Sang Zhitao's question: "Isn't that in Sylph's memories?"
This time, it was Sang Zhitao who was stunned. She frowned slightly, rummaged through the memories in her mind, and it took her a long time to figure out the truth.
“I see it now…” Sang Zhitao pursed her lips and said softly.
Irene thought she was upset about not understanding genetic memories, so she quickly reached out and patted her head: "You're still young, Sylph. You have many, many years to learn about them. Don't be sad."
Sang Zhitao didn't explain that she wasn't feeling down, but just confused, but she didn't say anything in the end, only smiling at Yi Lei.
Seeing her like this, Irene felt relieved and took the half-eaten spirit stone from Monark behind her and handed it to her: "You can continue to absorb energy, and you will grow faster that way."
The tone of voice that parents use to coax children on Earth, saying "eating will make you grow taller," made Sang Zhitao's lips twitch. She thought that perhaps she would never be able to accept that she was a cub, and that being soft and cute was simply impossible.
Even so, I still had to hold the Elf Stone in my arms and take a couple of bites, since it was quite delicious.
Yi Lei carried the mulberry peach out of the room and made her way to the spaceship's cockpit.
Watching the dozen or so elves piloting the spaceship with clear division of labor, Sang Zhitao felt a sense of disorientation, since in her mind elves belonged to Western fantasy, not science fiction.
"This is Platinum, the dean of our Academy of Sciences, a very talented inventor." Irene carried her to a cute male elf.
Sang Zhitao gasped as she instantly recalled the tragic life she had arranged for this adorable elf back then.
"Wow, it's hope!" Platinum's almond-shaped eyes widened, and his cute face lacked the rigorous and rational attributes of an academy, instead resembling a little puppy, so adorable it made your heart flutter.
Looking at that incredibly cute little face, Sang Zhitao felt deeply guilty for arranging such a darling's fate of being betrayed and brutally murdered by the enemy.
She reached out and carefully touched the face, looking at the surprise and joy in those eyes. She sighed softly and silently vowed, "This time, I won't let you be so unlucky."
"Hope!" a scream rang out from the side.
The group was startled, especially Sang Zhitao, who was so frightened that she almost fell over.
Irene glared at the newcomer, and seeing that she had toned it down a bit, she then presented her with the mulberry peach and introduced her: "This is Peg. I want her to be your head bodyguard."
Sang Zhitao looked at the handsome female elf in front of her and nodded repeatedly. This kind of mother with full pectoral muscles and a strong and domineering look made her feel very safe!
Irene then took her to meet Nora, the Minister of the Imperial Guard; Iso, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sami, the Minister of Finance; Eva, the Grand General; and other high-ranking members of the Wind Elf clan.
Along the way, Sang Zhitao received countless screams and pampering, as well as many gifts, which made her little face stiffen with laughter.
Seeing her like this, Irene held her up to her: "Is Sylph tired?"
Sang Zhitao rubbed her stiff cheeks and said apologetically, "I'm sorry, I am indeed a little tired, but it's okay if there are other people I need to see."
Irene quickly said, "I should apologize. Sylph is still a cub. Growing up should be your top priority. I was too impatient."
Sang Zhitao didn't know if Yi Lei had noticed anything. She was too sleepy to keep her mind active, and with surprise that most of the high-ranking elves were women, she fell asleep.
Irene carefully placed her on the bed in the treehouse, covered her with a small blanket woven from energy, and then carefully took the spirit stone from her arms and placed it beside her.
"Your Majesty, they're catching up." Eva said in a low voice beside her with a cold face, her eyes constantly glancing at Sang Zhitao, afraid that she might raise her voice and wake her.
Yi Lei looked at Sang Zhitao with tenderness in her eyes, but her tone was icy: "Let them retaliate? Do you really think we wind elves left out of fear?"
Eva nodded silently and was about to turn around to give the instructions.
Irene called her back, thought for a moment and said, "Be careful, turn on the soundproofing system and don't wake Sylph."
Eva nodded, waited a moment, and when she saw that she would not give any more instructions, she turned and left.
Irene didn't turn around to look at her. Instead, she stared at Sang Zhitao and said to Monark, who was silently guarding her behind her, "Sylph is a soft-hearted child. Make sure they don't give themselves away. I hope that nothing unethical, unfriendly, or unpleasant appears in front of Sylph. She needs love, nothing else."
Monaco nodded silently, accepted the order, and left.
Seeing that Sang Zhitao was sleeping restlessly, Yi Lei thought for a moment and put the spirit stone back into her arms. After seeing that she was sleeping soundly again, she left with peace of mind.
