Chapter 63 Tomorrow I will definitely change the world... Dasang's Peach is there...
Sang Zhitao waited at Cat Ear Port for about half a month before Captain Bayer, a captain she had met once before, arrived.
“This is Captain Kate of the Blackbeard,” Bayer said, pointing to a dark-skinned man with a long beard behind him.
"Captain Sylph, I've heard so much about you~" Kate bowed slightly to Sang Zhitao.
"Aren't the others going?" Sang Zhitao asked curiously.
“They will meet us on the way,” Bayer replied with a smile.
After a brief discussion of some details, the three of them went to arrange supplies and agreed to set off the next day.
When the dark whirlpools are not present, the sea is mostly calm, but storms may occur from time to time.
However, perhaps it was fate, Sang Zhitao and her group had an extremely smooth journey. Not only did they not encounter any storms, but they even had some unusual sea fish on their table.
"It looks like they're welcoming you," even Baron couldn't help but tease.
"Just like the most beloved fairy tale in the palace, the princess most loved by the little animals~" Even the usually quiet Susie couldn't help but tease.
“Wow, that unfortunate Rose Queen must be a stupid villain~” Sang Zhitao raised an eyebrow and replied with a smile.
“It’s not impossible. So, are we going to help the princess’s dwarf?” Eureka suddenly interjected.
Everyone fell silent for a moment and turned to look at him.
"What are you looking at me for!" Eureka felt a chill run down her spine from the stares of the crowd.
"Eureka... you read fairy tales too?" Sang Zhitao was the first to speak, her voice filled with disbelief.
“Why can’t I read fairy tales!” Eureka was so provoked by her words that she almost jumped up.
“But… Eureka has always seemed like she doesn’t like reading,” Little John murmured from the side.
"Mmm-hmm." Everyone nodded in unison.
Eureka was momentarily exasperated and it took her a long time to speak: "I have a whole cabinet of books!"
Barron, who was standing next to him, thought for a moment and suddenly spoke up: "So all the books in that cabinet that you won't let me see are fairy tales?"
"So what!" Eureka's face immediately turned red.
Everyone covered their mouths, trying to stifle the laughter that was about to escape their lips.
"Don't laugh!" Laughter that couldn't be suppressed could be heard from time to time, and Eureka was so angry that she pounced on her closest friend, Baron.
For a moment, everyone was in a state of chaos.
Hearing the playful noises coming from the deck, the busy pirates behind couldn't help but look up to bask in the sunlight and enjoy this quiet time.
"Alright, alright, I see a fleet ahead. Let's send a message to Captain Bayer to see if they're waiting for us." Sang Zhitao looked ahead and clapped her hands.
Upon hearing this, everyone looked up and, while straightening their clothes, said, "Let Little John take the binoculars and take a look."
"Here it is, here it is." Little John was already standing beside him, holding the binoculars.
"Look, I can never remember those symbols." Sang Zhitao took the binoculars and looked at them. They were unfamiliar patterns. She then shoved the binoculars into Baron's arms.
Seeing this, Baron looked ahead before saying, "It's the White Deer. I remember it was on the manifest that it was for people who were to come with us to the unknown land."
Hearing her say that, Sang Zhitao nodded, then asked curiously, "Did Captain Bayer provide a list?"
“Hmm.” Barron nodded. “Captain Bayer was worried we wouldn’t know we were ambushed, so he gave us a list with various markings on it.”
"Alright, I'll leave the rest to you. I'm going to get some sleep." Sang Zhitao shoved the box into Baron's hands, yawned, and walked back.
These past few days she's been busy stuffing all sorts of artworks and treasures she's collected into small wooden boxes, which has exhausted her.
Logically speaking, with so many people on the ship, she shouldn't have to work so hard. It's just that the Duke of Hope designed that box in a way that only she could shrink the items and fit them in; it was useless for anyone else to do it.
She's been busy all this time and it's only now that she's finished stuffing everything in.
Barron and the others knew how tired she had been these past two days. Although they had helped move the items out of the warehouse, the workload was manageable with so many people sharing the burden, which helped her maintain her energy.
They sailed smoothly for about five months before finally reaching their destination.
It wouldn't have taken this long originally, but they happened to encounter a dark vortex, so they took the opportunity to dart through and steal a bunch of treasures.
"Is it just ahead?" Baron shoved the binoculars into the hands of Sang Zhitao, who was dozing in the sun.
Sang Zhitao suddenly woke up and subconsciously raised her binoculars to take a look: "It really does seem to be true."
"Inform them that we need to dock at the island ahead."
“Yes!” Barron turned to contact other fleets.
After walking for about half a day, until the sun was about to set, the group finally arrived at the island.
The island is circular, consisting of a small beach, dense forests, and rocky mountains. Birds can be seen circling overhead in the distance.
Every now and then, one could hear a beast's cry or two coming from inside.
Sang Zhitao carefully instructed the others to keep an eye on the fleet before leading them off the ship.
The sound of leather boots crunching on the sand was heard every now and then, and an insect or two would crawl out from under the sand, either running back to the forest or escaping into the sea.
"Are you sure this is the place?" Bayer stepped forward and greeted her.
“Yes.” After greeting the other captains, Sang Zhitao asked with a puzzled look, “Captain Bill isn’t here?”
“Well, he said he’s found what he’s looking for, and the Unknown Lands no longer hold any appeal for him,” Bayer said with a sigh.
Hearing him say that, Sang Zhitao didn't say anything more. She turned back to look at the sunset, thought for a moment, and said, "Let's go back to the ship tonight and set off early tomorrow morning."
Bayer had no objections and turned to say a few words to the others.
The sea breeze gently caressed everyone's faces, carrying the salty, damp scent of the sea.
After dinner, Sang Zhitao lay on the deck, listening to the animals playing on the island and the sound of the waves, enjoying this rare evening.
"Tomorrow will be a bright and sunny day," Baron exclaimed, gazing at the starry sky.
“Good weather will surely bring good results,” Sang Zhitao replied with a smile.
“Of course,” Barron replied with a smile.
Time always flies, and it flies even faster in our sleep.
Sang Zhitao felt like she had just fallen asleep when it was already dawn. She yawned as she ate breakfast before leaving the house.
"Who's coming in with me today?" Sang Zhitao asked after thinking for a moment, looking at the group of people in front of her.
The group was surprised that Sang Zhitao didn't intend to bring them all in, and they looked at each other, speechless for a moment.
"Forget it, we won't go. We're not very strong, and we'll only be a hindrance to His Highness." Anna and Susie, who had exchanged a knowing look, were the first to speak.
Baron frowned, pondered for a moment, and then said, "Let Eureka go with you. The ship needs someone who can make decisions."
“Alright.” Sang Zhitao looked at Eureka and nodded.
Eureka naturally had no objections and immediately stepped behind Sang Zhitao.
Seeing that everything was arranged, Sang Zhitao said nothing more and took the wooden box off the boat.
When Bayer and the others saw that only two of them had come, their eyes flashed, but they didn't say anything. They simply turned to instruct their subordinates, and in the end, each of them left only one person with them.
Seeing this, Sang Zhitao didn't say anything to persuade her. She looked down at the wooden box and then walked forward.
Bayer and the others didn't say much and quickly followed.
This island has been deserted for so long that the forest has almost become a primeval forest.
With everyone working together, some with knives, some with swords, and some with axes, they cut down the branches blocking their way and carved out a path.
Because the forest was so dense, they did not move very fast, and it was not until the sun was directly overhead that they reached the top of the mountain.
Looking at the strange landscape on the other side of the mountain, everyone was speechless for a moment.
Unexpectedly, a lake appeared on the island, and in the center of the lake, an even smaller island appeared.
"This...do we have to go back and get a small boat?" Kate frowned.
Sang Zhitao glanced back and shook her head: "It's not easy. Let's go down first and see. If it doesn't work, it'll probably be easier to make a raft ourselves."
Bayer glanced back at the path they had come from and shook his head at Kate: "The ship can't get in."
Seeing that both of them objected, Kate didn't say anything more, and naturally no one else raised any further objections.
After resting for a while, the group found a relatively gentle spot and started walking downhill.
They repeated the process of cutting down trees, moving forward, and then cutting down more trees along the way until they finally arrived at the central lake near nightfall.
Looking up at the starry sky, Sang Zhitao looked at Bayer and said, "Let's rest for a while and go to the island tomorrow morning, just in case there's any danger in the lake."
Her statement was approved by Bayer, but some of the other captains were dissatisfied.
Kate, in particular, frowned and said rather reluctantly, "Anyway, it's not that late yet, why don't we just go to the center island and rest there?"
“That’s right, Captain Sylph is too cautious. The lake looks so clear, there’s no danger at all,” another bearded captain chimed in.
Sang Zhitao remembered his name; it was Nat, the captain of the Treasure Ship.
“We still need to prepare a boat.” Bayer pursed his lips, stood directly behind Sang Zhitao, and looked at Nat as he spoke.
"I see the lake is so shallow, let's just wade across," said Captain Moke of the Moke.
"You fool, Idiot, that the pool is so clear you think it's shallow." As darkness fell, Sang Zhitao's temper grew increasingly uncontrollable, and she replied coldly.
"You!" Moke couldn't help but want to step forward.
"What do you want?" But Eureka stepped forward and held a knife to her neck.
"Captain Sylph, do you intend to kill us?!" Kate asked sharply, her face grim.
"Suit yourself, I'll grant your wish even if you want to die." Sang Zhitao's cold eyes swept over the crowd. "Those who are willing to listen to my advice can stay, those who are not can do as they please."
Nat glanced at Kant, then at Mok, pursed his lips, and after a long while lowered his head and said, "I was impulsive, Captain Sylph, I'm sorry."
“Nat!” Kate’s face grew even more grim.
Mok glanced at the submissive Nate, then at Kate's ashen face, hesitated for a moment, then took a few steps back and looked at Kate apologetically: "I'm sorry Kate, I can't take the risk."
Kate's face darkened further. He hadn't expected that even the only two people who had spoken up for him would back down. He then looked back at the others.
Everyone avoided his gaze, and those who couldn't avoid him shook their heads at him.
Seeing this, Kate naturally understood that no one would support her. She took a few deep breaths before angrily turning around and returning to her tent.
Seeing that he had stopped causing trouble, the others greeted Sang Zhitao and prepared to eat and rest.
“Sylph…” Captain Bayer thought for a moment, about to speak.
“Let’s talk about it tomorrow, Captain Bayer,” Sang Zhitao interrupted him, raising her hand.
Seeing this, Bayer had no choice but to swallow the apology that was about to slip out, silently nod, and return to his tent.
For a time, the only sounds by the lake were the crackling of burning firewood.
